@pummarit. it refers to the powerstrokeratio. in a four stroke bike, there are four strokes of the piston to create one power stroke. the piston starts from the top. 1st stroke piston goes down (intake, it takes fuel and air into the cyliner) 2nd stroke piston goes up (compression, sqaushing the fuel and oil ready to explode) 3rd stroke the piston goes down (combustion, the sqaushed fuel has exploded, forcingthe piston down again)
Adilz I've to say to you that our Club watch and follow all your videos with interest. Cause our bike has a low reputation in our country due to the low reliability of the firsts Hyosung models. Are pretty useful to show people that is a better bike than they thought. I have to congratulate you for your webpage (also known by the MotoClub Comet) and I encourage yo to continue posting videos of the Comet. Greetings from Spain.
Thanks Adilz for the test in the name of the Comet Club (Spain). I've got one Comet GT250R and I never have made it reach it's top speed cause I'm afraid it would broke down. But seeing this I understand that it's engine is indestructible! :-)
@pummarit the difference between 2 and 4 strokes is the cycle of the engine. meaning the steps that the engine has to take to complete a cycle. for example: a 2 stroke engine needs 2 stroke to complete a cycle meaning the piston draws air intake and fuel mixture at the same time when the piston is on its way down and combustion and exhauste on the way up it take the piston a total of 2 times to complete a cycle. while a 4 stroke piston take 4 step as we know it in slang suck ,squeez ,bang ,blow
it is true.. i had one in 2007, before it got stolen.. it is a solid bike in terms of styling, fuel economy and speed.. very satisfying for 250cc catergory..
@pummarit In a 2 stroke, it is different. the piston starts from the top. the piston goes down, and takes fuel into the cylinder, and at the same time, it lets fumes from the previous explosion go out the exhaust. then the piston travells up again, compressing, and exploding the fuel. thats two strokes. the force of the explosion forces the piston down again, which lets exhaust fumes out, and takes fuel in again. So you cansee that for every 'powerstroke' there piston only moves twice
Oh shit! It makes a huge difference! The RPMS don't go that high either. When I go 102, I'm almost in the red. I was planning to trade in for a R6, but I'll stick with my 250 for now and do the mods. Nice work!
to steve wards thats km per hour. 170-180 max (obviously with 250cc) u can actually see the letters. plus it's Korean. they use metric system ps great bike for a great price. relatively fast, simple, reliable, fuel efficient and good looking. i think everyone should own one. even if u pro. Mainly because it's really good of gas and easy to repair with ur own tools. no need for a high-tech dealership mechanics u know
4th stroke the piston goes up (exhaust, inertia from the explosion has the piston travelling up again, and it pushes the fumes from the explosion out of the engine into the exhaust pipe a 'stroke' is a single, directional movement of the piston, each time the piston goes up, or down, it is a 'stroke' So you can see in a four stroke engine, the piston 'strokes' four times, but in those four strokes, there is only one 'power stroke' a power stroke is when fuel is ignited
Nice, I have an '04 GT250 and I can only get 140-150. It used to hit 160-170 a few months ago, dunno what's causing the power loss :( Makes me a sad panda, I would assume the fairings on the 250R would help alot too. Nice video, makes me happy to see other Hyo riders :D!
there is a little more to 2 stroke engines though, as the exhaust has an expansion chamber, which sends some of the expelled fumes back towards the engine, among other things, but that doesnt matter for the purpose of this explanation. Two strokes are lighter, they developm ore power that a four stroke of the same size as well. The down side to them is they require lots more maintenance, and create alot more pollution than a four stroke and are usually more expensive to run
No problem Jack. But I guess if the bike goes through this too often, I think it will break down. I don't know. I'm taking my bike for its 3rd trackday this coming weekend. That will be like 2 hours of continuous battering.
I did another 28,000 km since I redlined it for the speed test. Then I relines it a few hundreds times more during my 1,500 km trackdays sessions. So this lil korean thingy is pretty good.
Another thing... that red line is there for a reason. It's not a good idea to just leave the engine reving in that zone for sustained periods. If you do it anyway, change your oil more frequently, it's probably cooked.
Yeapp, I would agree. 170 kmh is fast enough on the roads. But I sure hope I can run faster than that on the track. This speed test redlining is nothing compared to the thrashing my bike gets during trackdays. But I do keep the oil checked out frequently as financially possible. :)
You do know what the red part on the tacho is there for, right? You're a silly boy for doing that in traffic, but the video is certainly clear and good quality. Nice work.
4-stroke crankshaft rotate 4 times to complete one cycle combustion. its much efficient complete combustion compare to 2-stroke but less power. 2-stroke crankshaft rotate 2 times to complete one cycle combustion..less efficient complete combustion because waste some air-fuel mixture to environment..thats y 2-stroke engine produce smoke..but...the power produce by this engine 2 times more than 4-stroke.. example..kawasaki 250r (4-stroke) has 34hp if not mistaken but kawasaki kips 150rr has 32hp
just one thing once u start the corner hold the throttle do not back of because you can crash very easy just hold it there once u start the corner. you do not have to give more just hold it there and the bike will do the rest.
very nice video bro... can i ask questions?? 1. is this bike consume a lot of fuel? 2. are the spare parts easy to find and the cost for that? i'm thinking of getting this bike...
@pummarit Its not a stupid question bro. Its okay to ask if you dont know. Anyway, I think its better you try Googling it coz better info there. Some websites even have like videos to show the difference. Trying to explain it in words a little bit tough.
my cbr250r pushes 43hp on the Dyno stand and does 195k/h. and it's almost 18year old bike with 85k km on the clock :) hyosungs rust quick and their parts are hard to find second (expensive to buy new).
Salam bro. I am interested to get the 250 naked version from Naza. May I know what has been your experience with the bike in terms of build quality & engine performance? Is it difficult to service & get spare parts for this bike in Msia? Thank you for any feedback.
lol everyone is complaining about the top speed. how about the ride & handling experience? that was the most interesting matter for me. its not like we can pull a full throttle most of the time & top speed it completely useless in traffic jam. but if the ride was comfortable fantastic, low top speed don't matter to me.
just tested mine FI today from 2009. ..it said 174 km/h on speedometer but only 156 km/h on GPS (Garmin edge 800) ..at 100 km/h the speedo says 112 km/h ...The speedometer is at bit wrong, sadly..
Hv ur Naza Blade 250r gives u any probs like engine probs for always doing top speed all the time? I am thinking of gettin 1 either the blade 250r or he ninja 250r,but blade look better, baby suprbike. =) But the engine? I saw some article on the net bout the yamaha YZF 250-R4 inline 4 mybe will be out next year,is that true? Did u too heard
Hi Adliz, What's your total tripmeter(km) value, and your avarage fuel compsumption? By the way max.speed is impressive I'm thinking about 650 version but I see 250 is also good enough especialy cylender capacity. Thnx.
Any info about this R4?
ok.. i know alot of people say this is just a weak bike but i am a beginner with no experience. do u think it is worth getting a slower bike or do u think i should go bigger
Dude, this Hyosung is only 250 cc only manage to get 108 mph. Your ZX12R is 1200 cc. Your bike should get around 500+ mph since you have 4.8 time the engine cc.
Really good for a 250 cc motorbike. It's not comparable with cars or more powerful motorbikes... Even though you would see that 600 cc motorbikes like the CBR won't go twice as fast as this one.
CBR250's get to around 200km/h derestricted. a bit more with a hi flow filter and pipe etc. Fuck the others flaming about you speeding. Why have that power if your not gonna use it. thats why they invented scooters...
I just bought a black one today mate, 1.5 years old , not a spot of rust on it, I'm LOVIN IT man. Seriously recommend it for learners.

Yes, The Kawa 150 can go up to 180 kmh my friend since its a 2-stroke machine. In fact some of the MSS Kawa 150 Cup racer bikes can go up to 200 kmh.
4th stroke the piston goes up (exhaust, inertia from the explosion has the piston travelling up again, and it pushes the fumes from the explosion out of the engine into the exhaust pipe

Good point there pegs. Now I remembered why I didn't buy the ZXR250. Felt like I was squatting instead of sitting.

@herpittyderpderp It would be km/h I think. I saw 175 km/h, that's around 110mph, which is not bad for a 250 4 stroke at all.
Hi, very nice video!
Sorry for this stupid question, what is the difference between 2-stroke and 4-stroke?
Thanks!

I wish you had left the segment in where you're accelerating to the top speed. Or is the 15 minute youtube limitation not long enough?
GPS puts the GT250R @ about 168 KPH or 103mph ... average between Bike and GPS = 170KPH or about 105 MPH

I just bought a gt250r and it can't touch speeds like that. could you give me some details on the mods you did to make that happen?
Hi Adliz,
What's your total tripmeter(km) value, and your avarage fuel compsumption?
By the way max.speed is impressive I'm thinking about 650 version but I see 250 is also good enough especialy cylender capacity. Thnx.
what kind of custom exhaust are we talking? did you buy something aftermarket or just drill out the stock muffler?
Yeapp. That's true. Its not all about speed. I luv my Comet 250R.
Careful! You're going to blow up that 250!
i have a hyosung and fast as i have had it is 103 and in the red. need to know what all u did on your upgrades?

can't help wondering what if u got the 650 version instead...
@adilz i wan to ask something ~ v-twin engine same with 2 cylinder engine ? both oso 2 cylinder rite ? =D

how do u place ur camera ??
can i ask u a question ? how u get this hyosung gt 250r ? and the price is ?
I know it is an old video, but im still hoping someone able to answer me this :-
Is Naza Blade 250R still facing spare parts issues? (year 2012)
Bro, your Mito is a 2-stroke machine. Hyosung is 4-stroke machine. If you know whats the difference between 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine, you dont compare
It's not that bad. Do you guys think that it could be a good idea to buy that @ 3, 995$ (CAN) ?
muy buena volocidad para una 250 exelente
bro adilz... aku punya naza blade/hyosung cuma boleh lari 140km je.... ade sport kit nak kena tambah ke... coz aku punya moto semua masih ori.
yes it is KPH, its a Right Hand drive country, most likey Australia
Wow this speed is enough for me to ride from melaka to kl, genting and cameron.
@ilbeytopcugizay but let me ask you, when have you achieved this ''real'' top speed. if you cant do it, i wouldnt post it, but if you can... well, thats all fine and dandy
adilz...ape yang dia orang carutkan ni...aku tak paham lah.boleh tahan moto kau tu.dengar kata blade ni banyak masaalah betul ke?
You do know that its in kilometers per hour right? Thats only about 105-107 mph
okay do you mind if i answer,it has got an awesome milage it gives 40kmph to me and every one who watches it are totally confused with 600 and even i faked my girl friend..lol...but 29 bhp is more and dual disk is the best thing, its the best if you are taller than 6'0 and i'll tell you about speed 0-60kmph in 4.1sec and 0-100kmph in 8.2sec [[this is in kilometers and with no upgrades at all]] and very stylish body too.one more,i was on a journey about 550+550kilometers and no problem and buy it.
my lil crapy cbr 125 beat 1 of these? all i have is a micron pipe and race spark plug? my cbr does bout 90mph pushing it to the max limit lol :P i still miss my yamaha dt 125 tho :(
he is doing 107 mph....i wont need to go above 70 mph lol....how does the bike handling around 70? please respond
@pppzul minded tertutup.... pakai sportbike dulu baru komen satisfied dgn rxz
Errr 2-stroke bro is suppose to be more powerful that 4-stroke 250 cc. Plus you KR maybe weigh half the weight of the Naza Blade. So nothing spectacular about that. Come to Sepang and you'll find KR reaching 200 kmh.
meter tak sama, saya pemilik gtr250r pecut 180km sejam rxz tak leh ikut da. meter lain oooo. roket atas blade. boleh kejar tgok..

thanks.. good for this bike..
The Hyosung has less power but far heavier than the ninja. So I'm 100% sure the Hyousng will slower going off to 60.
Wat mod u did to reach tat spd?
wow!! i think that speedometer does not same with car meter,, mean: your bike 100km/h,, car 90km/h,, becoz in conering,, you can reach 110km/h,, but in car 80-90 km/h,, i think la,, hahaha,,

hey whats the cruising speed?
@redzuan29 bro gtr250r berapa harge die eh?
how much are they new?
that reply wasnt meant for you.
Well I sure hope you stick to your 2-stroke RS125 till the day die. Coz you ever upgraded to 600 or 1,000 cc bikes, you have just fucking eat your words on 4-stroke. If you want to upgrade, go built yourself your own 2-stroke 1,000 cc machine.

not bloody bad. maxed out at around 180k for a V-Twin. CBR250's get to around 200km/h derestricted. a bit more with a hi flow filter and pipe etc.
Fuck the others flaming about you speeding. Why have that power if your not gonna use it. thats why they invented scooters...
What sucks is that the RS125 aren't legal in Americas because they are 2 stroke.
My friend's Hyosung GT250R record = 184 km/h :)
I guess Jason, u must be one of those customers. I'm sorry dude. My condolences on your Hyosung bike demise.
How fast in mph?
very nice video.
110mph on a 250 ain't too shabby. My wifes XV250 Yamaha won't touch 90.
I think my older 150KR can beat the bike. Mine can get 180++km/h with my racing coil.
RED LINE=BAD?
