This video should be required viewing for type 4 naturals lol! There is SO much confusion out there and this was the best explanation I have seen yet on the differences in type 4 hair.
I love your 4C hair it's just like mine! I love that it is very versatile and can look or appear to be 4A or 4B because of its many angles and appearances all depending on what is used to define it. Some people believe 4C could never be as long as your hair is and that's not true. When I consistently maintain my hair it's easier to deal with and style many ways. However, when I just let it go somewhat it's a wild untamed beautiful afro. I love the variety of styles the 4A, 4B and 4C hair can hold and do "versatility" for sure!🥰 **Thanx for putting that to rest! 😉😉
People don’t believe you have 4c when: the hair is long, you are light skin, it grew “fast”, you are beautiful, you breathe… it’s so annoying. I’m waiting for this kind of comments when I reach my goal (tailbone lenght). I’m almost there but my hair is always covered…
Never doubted for a second that you have 4c hair b/c it looks exactly like mine, down to the shrinkage. Ppl want to negate the fact that Hispanic and/or Latin ppl can have afro-textured hair due to their Afro genetics 🧬 It blows my mind b/c some ppl fully forget (or blind to the fact) that 4c hair looks different in its various stages, especially when it’s wet and/or moisturized! But it’s not even about the stupid hair chart anymore-come on RUclips University! By now we should all realize that what really matters is your porosity. Recognizing this is way more beneficial in the long run.
Soy afromexicana y criolla de Luisiana, y mi cabello y rasgos son similares a los tuyos. Siempre he amado mi cabello por su versatilidad, pero has llevado mi aprecio a un nivel completamente nuevo, Fina. ¡Muchas gracias! Con cariño, tu hermana afrolatina de cabello 4C, desde Texas!
This was the most informative video I’ve seen on Type 4 hair. I was adamant that I was 4C until I saw this video. I realize I have a mixture. 4a/b Thank you!!!
Love this video and how you broke down and gave visual examples of each 4 type hair, I just learned that I’m not 4c based on your examples because my hair actually curls when saturated with water ❤❤❤thank you thank you.. now let me follow 😂
Some 4c hair types do curl when wet! (Or coil, if you will) there's so much more to it than just curl pattern but also density, surface texture etc. And this diversity can happen across all hair types!
This was so thorough! I love the side by side examples. I have two daughters with type 4 hair that I had to learn how to care for (I have mostly 3A/somewhat 2C hair for reference) and I would do the same things to my younger daughter’s hair that I learned to do to my older daughter’s hair and I was getting so confused as to why the products & methods just wouldn’t yield the same results. Because like you said, when dry and undone, they basically look the same to me but I did notice that my younger daughter’s hair just doesn’t curl up the same as my older one and product just sort of sits on top of it rather than soaking into it and creating that juicy curl like I learned to do for my older daughter. That led me to start noticing the differences in type 4 hair as prior to that, I didn’t realize that there were subtle differences. So according to your video, I’m thinking that my older daughter is moreso 4B and my younger one is moreso 4C
You do have 4c hair sis I think bc ur hispanic people want to differentiate your hair from Africans but they fail to realize that you have african ancestry as well!
I am not sure what my hair is as of now. It's soft, wavy, straight on the top of my head, and curls in the back. I am either seeing 3 to 4b hair. I am still lost on what my hair type is, yet I have low porosity hair. Thank you for the video. You still have beautiful hair regardless of what others may say or think. Have a Bless day. 😊😊
Your hair is 4C all day long! My hair looks the exact same and it does well when it is WELL TAKEN CARE OF!
I also agreed with you on 4b with zigzag. I never see full hair with zigzag pattern.i only see few of it on someone's hair sometimes 1or 2

Absolutely, our hair can be molded as we want, we have all textures in one😍😍😍, Afro hair is amazing 🎉
4C gorgeousness!
Thank you so much😍☺
It’s because you’re mixed race that people don’t believe you have 4c hair. It’s just long 4c hair and beautiful ❤️

I see those comments under the videos of people who have darker skin
Absolutely 4C and beautiful. You are so amazing and I love your personality. Also, as long as you know who cares what others may think.

Yeah this video was VERY formative and I understand better the explanation vs others. You broke down each curl thank you

Meaning, some looser curl patters also struggle with definition naturally
11:30 Her own hair forms curls when saturated with water, but as she said she's 4c.
This is the best video I have seen about the different hair textures and patterns. Thank you so much 💜💜💜

You do have 4c hair sis I think bc ur hispanic people want to differentiate your hair from Africans but they fail to realize that you have african ancestry as well!

Thank you so much honey!! Straight, wavy and curly 😮You have more than two textures😍
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My 4b/4c hair acts the same but with gel it does make 4a curls.
If your hair makes “4a” curls, then its 4a
❤ Gorgeous
Thanks so much honey☺
@@naturallyfina Of course Fina!😍
You favor Halle berry
If you want to believe or if you know that you have 4c hair then it doesn’t matter what other ppl think. Don’t try to prove it to them. Let it be.
Love it=🤍
Youre Latina!💪
Is your hair in dreads?
No it's not, it's virgin hair!
You have 4b/4a hair sis. I’m a hair stylist
There’s nothing like versatility, your curl pattern is really loose
Hey adelin 😊
