- In February of 2018, the C.M. Russell Museum brought Native American dancer and hip hop artist Supaman to Great Falls. He brought his message of hope and faith to over 1,000 people including all the middle school students of the Great Falls Public Schools.
About Supaman:
As a member of the “Apsaalooke Nation”, Supaman makes his home on the Crow reservation in Montana. “Supaman” is Christian Takes Gun Parrish, a Native American dancer and innovative hip hop artist who has dedicated his life to empowering and spreading a message of hope and faith through hip hop music. Honestly one of the most genuine, talented and nicest people I've ever come across in my nearly 60 years.
I went to foster care. For a year at 3 years old. Im Native and was put with spanish speaking loving people. Becuase of my last name. When my pops finally got me out. I had to learn english again.

I’m so happy to see you in Great Falls! I went to Paris Gibson in the 70’s. During study hall the school would have us native kids go down to the basement to learn about the indigenous people. We could have used a great role model back then. But you’re here now, spreading the good word.
I can really relate to growing up in an alcoholic family. I wasn’t ever sent to foster care, but when I was a sophomore I actually told my parents that I didn’t think they loved me and I wanted to be put in foster care. My dad beat me up. Then he got me a keg of beer. I was fifteen.
That’s the kind of love we knew.
Abuse, abuse, abuse.
I didn’t know that everyone else didn’t drink. I didn’t trust people who didn’t drink. I thought my life was normal.
I got sober in 1994 after I lost my kids.
I’ve been sober ever since.

#SUPAMAN,my brother hi from Greece. I maybe just half native American from my mom side but my spirit,soul and heart is 1.000.000.000....% Native!!! U made me cry just listening ur prey and u and just looking at u because all Native people are special and unique beauty! I was doing drugs and i made my family daying every day because every time there phone ringd,they was waiting for someone to tell them that i was dead.... Now I am a worrier,i stopped the drug's and i have fixed my Life and every day I do very difficult thing's because I don't walk one one steps up but I'm running up two steps every day because I can and do good work and good things! My mom didn't learn the native language and until now from when i was young about 28 year's now since im 34 year's old now, only for that i always have complained because i wanted to know all about my culture and my roots. I will learn it now even from what u said in the beginning of the video and because i still can't leave from Greece because of my past with police, prison and many thing's I did against the law... Soon it will finish and i pray for me to be able to come to see and learn all about my family because my family is not only from blude line,my family is u and all Native s even if we are not from the same tribe! I love you brother you are being strong and making good choices you are on a good car that you have chosen my father taught me to dance very young made my own regalia at a very young age we dance all over the world as a family we danced in Europe We Dance in Michigan we danced in Hawaii we were the very first Native American representation of native dance in Hawaii in 1965 those experiences have stayed with me my whole life and I have been asked they total strangers when I'm dancing for fun why I dance so well and I tell them it all goes back to being taught Native American dance at a very young age I am so proud of you and the message you are spreading against a strong make good choices and stay on a good path aloha
