The climb S -N from Slaidburn is by far the more picturesque way to ride Lythe Fell (The Cross of Greet). It’s a stunning ride and the views get better and better as the individual peaks get steeper and steeper 😅…Wonderful video showcasing Bowland AONB all the way over to Bentham. Don’t know if your aware but there’s another stunning climb that runs parallel back towards Slaidburn called Bowland Knotts starting from Keasden, and it’s just as stunning.
It's a fantastic road to cycle, cracking video
You picked the right day for it wow!
Well done. I rode this on 12th August 24 in the opposite direction. Also chatted to a cyclist doing Lands end to John o groats. Very scenic area.
Cross O Greet, not too far away for me. A stunning climb
@@StelvioSteve-j2h It is stunning, the whole area is. I always remembered it as the highlight of my LEJOG tour and with good reason.
Can you share the route/gpx if you have it?
@@syrus3k Thank you for watching, yes you can find the GPX here.

@@Baldy_Biker thanks! I don't live too far from there so will add it to my ride library

@@michaeldenton2581 Yes I took that road to Slaidburn having parked my car in Ingleton. That was a tough climb too I have to say.
@@Baldy_Biker it’s a climbers paradise around Bowland, and it’s great living so close by to such stunning scenery
