I think what was coolest is that Forge was originally advertised as the legend for season 4 and was even found in the in game files with abilities to try and trick dataminers into thinking he was the next legend however after the close and personal short was released you could go in game to the location where the interview took place and find where he died and got to keep he medal as a charm.
What a perfect way to introduce an assassin character, by fake advertising a different character then having them offed MID INTERVIEW. Wonderful stuff.

And Fuse joining the syndicate Apex games only increased her anger, so as a result she thought that if she killed or seriously injured him, he wouldn't have to go.
So a little backround info for the first cinematic "good as gold" if you missed something. Maggie and Walter were lifelong friends on a planet called Salvo, which is basically a completely lawless, free and wild planet. Maggie always loved the idea of freedom and the independence of Salvo while Walter cared more for the spotlight and having fun. Maggie became one of Salvo's warlords and Walter became a Bonecage fighter. With time these differences between the two came more noticeable and their relatioship became more and more strained even though they cared for each other. Now the Syndicate was slowly making a deal with leaders of Salvo, joining the planet to the Syndicate. Walter didn't care but Maggie was furious of this change because Salvo would lose it's independence. The cinematic showed when the deal was finalized and obviously Maggie was pissed and again Walter didn't care. Then right after Walter tells that he's joining the apex games which are directly held by the Syndicate, leaving Salvo and leaving Maggie for the ones she basically saw as the enemy. In a fit of rage she throws the grenade but right after you can see immediate regret on her face. After this cinematic there were in-game comics when Maggie came after Walter and the legends for his betrayal. The two fought which led them almost falling off of a building, Walter holding her arm trying to save her. Maggie finally realised how wrong she was for trying to hurt the most important person for her, just because he was trying to live his own life. Maggie let go of Walter's arm and the last we saw of her, she was falling to her death. In her last moments Maggie made peace with her best friend. There is some speculation since we didn't see Maggie actually die that maybe she will be a future legend someday but nothing has been confirmed yet.

But when Loba came into the game, his goal changed from getting revenge on Hammond to helping Loba find a way to kill him for good, so he doesn’t have to experience all those deaths anymore. Apex has a ridiculous amount of lore for a f2p Battle Royale
Y’all are wonderful to watch because y’all provide such a beautiful glimpse into a loving relationship between two genuine, good people. And when you react to video games and other things but video games especially, it’s endearing and special because it feels like I’m showing my parents what I enjoy and they also find it interesting. Before the release of Revenant (mean red robot) in Season 4, there was a very big data leak for Apex, and many legends in development were leaked. This made Respawn (the developers) quite upset, so to pull one over on the dataminers, they came out with a completely fake character; Forge. Revenant had already been teased in game, so people were expecting him, but with the announcement of Forge, Respawn got us all for about a week, before the release of the Up Close and Personal video. Revenant killed Forge because he was the spokesman for Hammond Robotics, the people who made him into a robot against his will, which we see him release when he murders Lobas parents. It's all very smart, and it's all interconnected in someway!
Now to explain Up close and Personal, a devs “confirmed” that the guy that was killed by Revenant was going to be the season 4 legend. They even changed the files to throw off data miners to make it look like forge was going to be the S4 legend and basically killed off Forge in this SFTO.

Great point about non-romantic soulmates! Everyone's so obsessed with romance, while friendships get neglected and underrated. You can have a very strong bond with someone without the romance, we need more of that representation tbh :')

So the reason revenant killed forge the guy he killed is because he's a supporter and he works with him and robotics the person who made him into a simulacrumrum but made him believe he was still human in his trailer where he kills lobo's parents he realizes the mark on his hand H him and robotics so he wants to get revenge by killing everything Hammer robotics has that includes people they support people who support them all of it
