Winter Waterfall Diorama + Christian Message!

Magic Water was the resin I used (by Unreal Details LLC)
I used XPS foam
Hot wires are from the Hot Wire Foam Factory

I used Loctite's Power Grab -All Purpose low odor adhesive -to glue pieces together and create texture.
I used Craft Smart acrylic paint for painting
I used Shields All (and Mod Podge) for a sealant layer before applying the resin
I used Mod Podge matte glue to glue some of the foam pieces together.
I used Woodland Scenics Water Effects to create the waterfall texture
Cotton for the waterfall
Testors enamel paint to add to the resin for the ice

Loved it! Your waterfall looks absolutely fantastic, I'm surprised at how effective adding those small dots of white paint on the waterfall were.
I also really liked the abstract look of having the river in the cube shape, makes it so interesting and enjoyable to look at. I bet it looks even better in person! Keep up the amazing work 😉

Good idea! I will have to do a quick video on that. It's really a process of creating different texture while looking at reference pics, and then throwing out the ones that don't work.

The little wheel tool you got in the sewing kit is used by a seamstress to create patterns by rolling the wheel over a pattern piece over some carbon paper to print off the pattern you want to copy. In other words it's a pattern wheel I have several of these because I've been a seamstress since I was 4 or 5 years old but now I'm 75 and have been doing it since then. Had an Alteration and sewing business all my life. AND ......you said you couldn't afford an air brush but what you can do cheap is ......Take a hair dryer tape a roll of poster board paper making a small hole at the end and then you can put any white liquid on the water and take your hair dryer behind it just blow and manipulate the liquid to look like waves. And also on the water fall take your plastic and then take some water mixed with some white paint put the plastic over a pan and tape it in place then pour the liquid slowly over the plastic then leave it to dry it will have the water look dried in the plastic then you have a pattern of water flow. Hope you can make sense of my rambling. Enjoy watching your videos.

6:57 I Dont Know exactly what it’s that too, but I used to use it, when I was a kid to trace lines in papers or stuff and where I can to cut it without making lines in the papers, but I may be wrong lol now you gave us a new idea how to use this lol 😂
Someone replied last week that it's a tracing wheel, to mark fabric for sewing, but maybe there was another tool that looked just like it that you used as well.

Can you tell me the high gloss glue you used to apply the ice layers to the resin?
Thanks Miriam! The ice is actually left over resin from the pond/lake section. It's the same stuff I used to create the rectangle pond. It's called Magic Water. I mixed in some white paint to create the ice look.

I used the resin it took to create the lake, and spread it out thin on a cookie sheet -then added some white paint.

XPS foam. I get it in big sheets at Home depot, or Lowes, but other hardware stores should have it.
