Surprised you didn’t mention the outgrowing grass and trees on the right hand side as you approached West Ellie Bridge which push east bound traffic toward the road centre. Shutting the West Marsh Road roundabout into the Industrial Estate whilst the roadworks at Holbeach Road A16 were still ongoing was a crazy decision by LCC though.
I didn't mention the trees etc. as nobody who drives past here seems bothered by it. I've not noticed any traffic being pushed to the centre of the highway. In relation to the decisions made by LCC, why is anyone surprised about this? One of their highways engineers is mentioned in an article in a local paper called The Voice, which was printed this week. From what I have read, he has stated that the traffic is 'not horrendous'.
@@CyclingSouthLincolnshiredon't remember it ever clogged up like that ... but we are taking 30 years ago, so ... Park Road was home for 10 years or so :)
I know it well, nearly bought a house down there a decade ago myself. I've only been in the area for around twenty years. However, it has got way, way worse with traffic issues. The local council aren't helping. They are currently widening the roundabouts on the A16 (as if that ever helps) and have built the stub of a so called bypass (relief road) that connects to a point between Pinchbeck and Spalding. Trouble is, only the first section is being built, there is no funding for the other end of the road and they plan to build thousands of houses in that area before they will even think of finishing the road. Just think of the extra congestion that will bring. Also, anything to do with active travel is an afterthought and instead of investing in that to help with things like congestion, they (Lincolnshire County Council Highways) repeatedly fail to do so. Crazy.
No? Not going to bother clarifying what you mean? I'll give you a bit of help - I'm allowed to ride on shared use pathways (not footpaths) and the road. I'll choose whatever is more suitable.

Trip down memory lane!
But you cut of just before you got to the road I used live in! 😢
Are your memories of the area or the congestion? Which road did you live down? I'll try to include it next time. :)

Dude he's on a shared use path - which you would know if you'd read your HWC, cos you'd have recognised the sign posting
