Luckily, it wasn't a serious injury! Eric is doing awesome. He just has some bruises and one forming on his bone (not fun) but he can walk on it and won't be down for very long. Rocky and the team are amazing and couldn't ask for better people to go do snowmobile stuff with!
Glad to see no one got injured really bad. This is why u always need a camera rolling, especially when ur going to have something with a motor running. It'd be a bit pricey but invest in a insta 360, extra batteries, a few memory cards and u could have the cam on ur helmet like u already do or get one on those extended selfie sticks that u can mount on the front or back of ur sled to get some insane views. Im a Ski-Doo fan until the day that i die but i sure do appreciate oldish sleds of any make and the knowledge of arctic cat that u have. Keep up the great work man.
Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. I think you’re right about the cameras rolling. I think we all can appreciate the older sleds across all brands. It is what made the sport so fun.
He is lucky to walk away from that! Hope everything turns out well for him. A coworker of mine witnessed the aftermath of what happened when a guy lifted up the back of a sled while his buddy was revving it up when the track came apart and disemboweled him and he later died of his injuries.
Hey Rocky Man U had some great races congratulations on ur wins. I’ve never saw a track blow off like that either and in done a lot of racing. I’ve heard about it though can be very dangerous. Next time just make sure nobody is behind the sled that’s all. Not ur fault people should know not to stand behind jack stand hope ur buddy is ok.
I did the same thing with an Ice ripper XT Track. After research and conversations with engineers, the problem was a front rail stab from the single-ply track flex. I added anti-stab rollers in the front and modified rail tips. My track ripped exactly like yours!
Always assume the worst situation whether it's you, your helping a friend, people close by ect..just assume a track is going to break or the sled will fall off the stand when reving it (have the tether on your wrist if the sled is being started or is running) ect...and plan accordingly as in, Don't stand behind a sled when it's being reved/cleaned out, always point your rear end in a direction where if a track fails it won't hit anyone, I stand on the other side of the sled when cleaning it out before races in case a clutch explodes ect.. Unfortunately sometime accidents happen but try to minimize/totally mitigate any damage to surrounding people and property. Some races if you warm up a sled unsafely or not wear a tether they will DQ you right there. Some don't allow any reving up of the sleds in the pits at all and have big boards at the starting line and you can only rev it up in front of one of the big 4x8 boards in that designated area. Hopefully he heals up quickly.

@@OldSchoolArcticCats yes we were actually in the middle of a race. I was winning LOL. And he was about a half a Ski-Doo length away from me. And we were past the halfway mark I looked beside me again he was no longer there lol the track blew off about Midway and he slid about 60 ft or so. Lol he didn't know what the hell happened 🤣
@@OldSchoolArcticCats yeah he was a little weirded out by it. He said he grabbed a handful of brakes and it wasn't stopping that's when he got concerned.. But nobody got hurt. Just a bunch of laughs later. Lol
So they offered me 1st place trophy. Because of what happened but I said no. I’ll beat him next year fair and square.. How is you r friend doing ? That was pretty scarry I was standing right next to him and then he was gone never seen anything like it. Merry Xmass . Marvin
I've seen this happen on more than one m7 in the same place. If there's not a anti stab kit on those they like to break the end caps off the rails and the window of the track catches and tears it off.

Thanks Larry, you guys are great guys!
Thanks for the update! Eric is a heck of a good guy and I wish him a speedy recovery!

It scared the heck out of me.. I’m going to look into the anti stab kit.
Amazing content 👌.
Great video! I took second place on the EXT but made some mistakes that cost my on my ZRT 800. Thanks Rocky and Quinn

Damm bro that sounds crazy to even imagine but I hope he’s ok

Thanks for clarifying.. 👍
@@OldSchoolArcticCats thanks for the vids 🤙 Good racing! I hope your friend is OK and you're back out there kicking butt and having fun
amazing video!
Thanks for watching! Thanks for your help at the races!
When I was racing my f7 against my buddies f7. His track did the same exact thing.
Was he riding it when it happened?

Marvin, which sled were you on? Did me and you race that day?
I appreciate the comment. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Great sportsmanship on display! Looking forward to next year and shaking your hand!
What did you spray on your track?
