@@ToxicPea It was a hard choice to make but there a number of reasons why I made it that feel reasonable.
1. The world has changed drastically in the last few years (society, politics, climate change, technological advancements etc), who knows how much things will change in the following decades; we have a handful of apocalyptic stuff that's very likely to happen in the near future (e.g climate change and A.I). Even without all the apocalyptic stuff, society is getting crazier; the woke agenda has been forced into every crivice of society and I really don't that affecting my child in any way (I don't mean that in a racist or homophobic way, all you need to do is look a current Disney and you'll get what I mean), also children these days are usually given gadgets the second they come of the womb, I don't want to have to pick between my child being a social reject or brainrot zombie.
2. The human population has simply grown too big.
3. My career choice means I simply wouldn't really have time for family life; it would cause me to travel a LOT, to the point that I don't even think it's worth buying an permanent home.
