The theory that the cannibal is bigger than Belrion makes no sense. If the Cannibal was that dangerous then bigger dragons would have to worry about him but he only attacked baby dragons, or hatchlings which means he wouldn’t have possed a threat to larger dragons. Large dragons have lived on dragon stone for years before the dragon pit and no dragons larger then babies were hunted by the cannibal. He is likely stunted in growth because he wouldn’t have had that much access to food if eating dragons is his main source of food so his growth would be stunted as dragons need a large food source as well as open space
Pretty sure Cannibal is described as only eating smaller dragons simply because they're easy prey and have 0 chance of fighting back. Don't see why he wouldn't also be eating sheep etc like the others. He's only not a threat to larger dragons because he doesn't prey on them. With a rider or motivation he absolutely could be a threat and imo this does not imply he's stunted in growth.
Animals always go path of least resistance. It's why you're supposed to get big and noisy. He never bonded w a rider, so I think he's just operating on base animal instincts.

Cannibal is roughly the size of vermithor, if he was on dragonstone before the targaryens and to be of a size of note he would have to be over 340 years old, vhagar is 180 and wrll past her prime, bealerion was 208 when he died and just prior to his death was described as fat and slow, even if cannibal was kept active by being wild he would have to have outlived balerion by over 100 years. Cannibal is not the biggest dragon he is only “the biggest wild dragon”. Martin has flat out said Balerion is the biggest of all time. Cannibal is smaller than Ragar and Verm. Reddit has this debate and drawing from the books it is pretty straightforward he is not the biggest all time.
Cannibal was nowhere near Vaghars size or that of even vermithor, had it been near that big, it would pose serious threat to all the smaller dragons and beasts such as seasmoke and others would also happen to fall in that category, save Vermithor and Vaghar as Cannibal was known to go for smaller creatures….so that would make Cannibal’s very existence a threat and a serious concern for the rulers, because they rule with the power provided by dragons they had, and Cannibal would be a concern so big that he’d probably be a significant part of story…which he is not, and though its true cannibal is old that doesn’t mean he’d be as big, growing is different for all dragons….dragon that big is no joke to find sparse mentions
Completely false. Cannibal was even inferior in size to vermithor, so with certainty we can assume that this dragon was smaller than Balerion and Vhaegar too or even meraxes

then there is Ancallagon....the father of all dragons...
I think Urrax has a change too
O look, another version of Galakrond
I guess Cannibal doesnt get to eat often
Maybe drogon would be bigger after GOT.
@@woody00011 if he'd be bigger than Balerion then probably only Vermithor could pose any danger at all. Medium sized dragons should be no problem and yet he did not eat them.
... because he was not as big as you try to make him - as simple as that. Even GRRM explicitly stated that Vhagar and Vermithor were two biggest DRAGONS (not KNOWN dragons) during The Dance. Being of Silverwing size explains perfectly why he did prey only on small dragons - because he himself was not big enough.

Nope Balerion is the biggest, the books and the series already verified it. I just wonder where does the Cannibal came from? And how old is he? 🤔
The books didn’t verify anything, they came from different sources, so no one really knows
@@RahshiThompson The books did verify, read it again
Canibal is oldest dragon in westeros. But we don't know his size. He his Probably similar in size to Vhagar and Vermithor
Considering vhagar is canonically the largest dragon at the time of HOTD hes probably around 110 to 130 years old
Sheapstealer is said to be as large as Vermither and the cannibal is larger then sheapstealer. So he is atleast Vagars size or bigger
No one knows the cannibals true size because all those that have come close enough to see it none survived
Cannibal isn't bigger than balerion or vhagar, but he's the most badass one after balerion, he's completely black and big, badass.
He hates targaryen and chances are he was from the other rival house from valeria.. many tried to claim him and now turned into skeletons. I also feel he wont show up in HOTD.
Th yea really need to make a show about old Valeria I’m so curious especially since the targaryens didn’t run the show back then and weren’t the only ones with dragons
No we haven’t seen this wild dragon “Cannibal” in HOTD S2. So eagerly waiting to see “Cannibal” & “Balerion” in Flashbacks. But we’ve seen just one wild dragon “Sheepstealer”
And they're gonna give that one chick that doesn't have a dragon Cannibal.
pretty sure she's getting sheepstealer (yes that's its name)
No way Cannibal can be bigger than Balerion. It was just said that ge was the biggest of the WILD dragons. If he was as big, or bigger than Vhagar, the characters would mention him a LOT more
How do you know he’s not, nobody really knows how big he really is

Cannibal is the biggest of 3 wild dragons and rumoured to be smaller than vermithor the 3rd largest dragon, so not really bigger than Balerion or Vhagar.
Still big and the black could use him for spoilers
Is there any chance to see canibal in HOD S3?
No way HBO is gonna spendtheir CGI budget on Cannibal
If it’s such a huge dragon and feeds on other dragons it must be hungry because the aren’t that many dragon
I was raised by dragons and direwolves.
He is just a baby eater and nothing else 😂
The books never say that Cannibal is bigger than Balerion. Balerion is bigger and stronger than Cannibal. Go read the books and don't give false information.
Where do these wild dragons on dragon stone live? I assume they have to be somewhere. There’s people all over that castle, if he was bigger than Vahgar, someone would have said something. I assume the dragons on the Black side are as big as him or else they would mention how he could help them in the war.
Dragonstone is an island and if you look at the maps you'll see that it's pretty big. It's is actually big enough to even hide a dragon and it will be depicted in the future seasons of HOTD. I do not wish to spoil anything so far🤞

Only one can tame him jon snow

By the books it was implied that he ate dead dragons, young ones or eggs i think
What about Ma Boy VERMITHOR
WtF when was that mentioned in the MOvies😢
It is true Balerion is and the largest dragon to ever live in Westeros. The Cannibal wasn't a small dragon but it wasn't that big either and only ate dragons smaller than it, it stay clear of the dragons larger that it, Caraxes, Meleys, Vermithor, Silverwing these Dragons are all of the same size or larger than the Cannibal. I have NO idea were this idea of the Cannibal being massive came from?!!
👍
That's not true. Cannibal is almost Vhagar 's size. Caraxes, Meleys, Syrax not even close.
It came from Fire and Blood...
@@mikemiken1963 Well thats not what this video is claiming and again, it stays away from the larger Dragons. Meleys and Caraxes are also "almost Vhagars size"
Bro tbh who cares if it’s lore accurate. It’s all fiction at the end of the day. If they can portray cannibal as big or bigger than balerion it would be cool to see.

Cannibal was the largest WILD dragon, not the largest dragon on the Dance
I wanna see a dragon seed attempting to bond with a mid size dragon. Them out of nowhere cannibal swoops down and snatches the dragon in its massive jaws. That would be sick
Waiting..
Is it true that he's alive during GoT?
This sounds very intriguing but the are no hints in the books, so i guess it's probably not true, but still is a topic for speculation
He disappeared after HOTD probably due to his food source being dragons being mostly killed of due to the war. This means it’s possible it fled elsewhere away from Westeros in search for more food meaning it could still be alive in GOT

You won't see cannibal.. and it's a good thing because the basic writers of the show will make it so the war against the families stop so they can kill cannibal... Kinda like king Kong Vs Godzilla was meant to be just that but instead they teamed up to fight the other monster instead 🙄
Why not have him eat all the dead dragons and people after the dance and flee somewhere
I don’t think cannibal was balerion size
Season 2 is end bro
The cannibal is not bigger than balerion that’s only a rumor
Not in season 2
Cannibal is not the biggest dragon he is only “the biggest wild dragon”. Martin has flat out said Balerion is the biggest of all time. Cannibal is smaller than Ragar and Verm. Reddit has this debate and drawing from the books it is pretty straightforward he is not the biggest all time.
He's got to be bigger then silver wing
Oldest and largest of wild dragons not all Dragons he is rumored to be older than all Dragons in westeros though
I wanan see
The cannibal isn’t bigger than vhagar
Team black will lose because in GOT Targaryen logo is green. You’re welcome
cannibal hunts small dragon so it wont be bigger thna balerion
Belerion was the biggest.
Cannibal wasn’t bigger than Balerion
None of this is true - stop taking things too seriously
Cannibal is not even larger than Vhagar lets be real
Completely false. Cannibal was even inferior in size to vermithor, so with certainty we can assume that this dragon was smaller than Balerion and Vhaegar too or even meraxes
Vhagar*
And There is no evidence of Cannibal hunting and eating adult Dragons. It was just baby dragons and eggs.
But even so this dragon was a mysterious one
Balerion was the biggest dragon ever. Not Cannibal.

Bro he is older than all of them even balerion was not that big when he comes to dragonstone and lived even after it and never found dead maybe george RR Martin in his next book of game of thrones he was alive and ride by John snow it is assumption but actually very good to see both of them together if he not die of old age like balerion and survived
@@BhaktiSagaravantikapuri I doubt any other dragon besides danys dragons are alive during asoiaf because it’ll ruin the whole point of magic dying out with the dragons but coming back when her dragons hatch.
