    I have the sonic wheels I bought for my Reidells they are hands down a great outdoor wheels! I seriously wouldn't buy any other wheels for out door skating. Rocks are no issue and have a nice grip! Hope you are enjoying your skates!!🤗

      Yes, still skating 3 times a week and enjoying it. Getting better and working on my skills. I did a month review of the skates yesterday on my channel, make sure to check it out.

    This is the most clear and detailed video i have seen about this skates, thank you so much!!! I bought them too last week and have been liking the feeling they gave on outdoor spaces, what do you think of them now that you have been rolling them more? Is it worth it to buy another pair of wheels and keep the rest of the set?

      Thank you for your kind words, just trying to help us newbies out there. I did a 3 month follow up review please check my channel. I skate 1.5 hrs 3 times a week. The skates are holding up well except some eyelet issues I mention in my follow up videos. I'm hoping to find a used pair if leather Sure Grip skates to set up indoor arena skating. I will be doing a 6 month follow up as I continue to push these for durability.

    Thank you so much for this review, it was really helpful. I just had one question, and that is about the sizing. I am also a beginner looking to buy some skates for the first time, and I am unsure about the size I should get. What shoe size do you normally wear and what size skate did you end up buying, and how do they feel?

    • @allabouthim03
      @allabouthim03  4 года назад

      I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 9 sneaker. It worked perfectly with normal thickness socks.

      @@allabouthim03thanks for content. I returned my and I’m an intermediate skater because of the gap at the tie between the plate and boot…seems like it wasn’t durable because of it. Did you have that issue? How are they holding up? Thanks

    • @allabouthim03
      @allabouthim03  5 месяцев назад

      @@t.terrell7037 No I didn't have any issue with the boot separating. These are great beginner skates because they are so comfortable. They are recommended by many rink owners and skate teachers. They recommend them because a lot of beginners skaters quit because leather skates hurt during the break-in process and quit. Mine only lasted about a year because I skated on them so hard. I switched to Riedell Uptown skates for the last 2 years. These are leather boots but are extremely durable. If you think you can handle the break-in you can save money by starting with these and have them forever.

    Can the trucks be adjuisted so that they can pivot a little more? There's only the top nut, so is it safe to loosen them?

    • @allabouthim03
      @allabouthim03  4 месяца назад

      Yes, that nut is for adjusting the pivot of the trucks and removing the nut allows you to replace the bushing with harder or softer ones.

    • @RobertSpiller
      @RobertSpiller 4 месяца назад

      @@allabouthim03 So the key is not loosening the top nut, but replace the bushings? Remember I'm so new..I can't even turn on these skates lol

      @@allabouthim03 Thank you

    • @allabouthim03
      @allabouthim03  4 месяца назад

      @@RobertSpiller Sorry if I confused you. Yes, turning that nut does tighten and loosen the trucks. Ensure you don't loosen the nut more than maybe half a turn at a time. Remember, it's shifting your weight, getting on your edges, that helps you to turn. Loosening the trucks and trying to move them with your hands is not a good indication of how loose or tight the trucks are. It's best to have the skates on your feet and loosen them a little at a time.

    Hi found your page. I would like to buy the FAME with the Sonic wheels for outdoor skating. It is hard to locate these. Do you know why and I tried multiple sites. I'm in Northern California and not many skate rinks.

    • @allabouthim03
      @allabouthim03  3 года назад +1

      Hello, yes it's close to impossible to get these skates without going to a rink and ordering them. Or if you know someone that works at a Sonic that would get them for you. I'm about to order some Ridell Uptown skates from my rink. These have a leather boot but has the Sure Grip trucks and indoor wheels. The reason I'm switching is the eyelets began pulling out of the synthetic sure grip boot. I'm hoping the Riedell leather boot holds up better.

    What makes it an outdoor skate.? The difference in the wheels.?

    • @allabouthim03
      @allabouthim03  4 года назад

      Yes, the difference in outdoor and indoor comes down to only one factor...Wheels. These aren't the best outdoor wheels. The hardness of these wheels are more like a hybrid, for indoor and outdoor. Which makes since for Sonic, the car hop would need a wheel for rolling inside the store than back out to the car. Outdoor wheels are softer and gripper than indoor wheels.
