Painting digital watercolor portraits in Rebelle 4!

Hey everyone! I am so happy to share this quick portrait painting in Rebelle 4. The digital watercolors are AMAZING in this software. I think it is amazing how you can just paint without overthinking, and just letting your brush go to work. Every time I look at the painting it looks more and more realistic. really good work!

Thank you! That is awesome feedback! This is a fun setup for some digital sketching... I was excited to share! Even though the watercolor tools are great in Rebelle, the are still unfamiliar to me... and I have to dig around a bit to feel like I have a setup that feels natural. Best wishes!

hey there great videos. I really like the metallic colors in art rage have you been able to dupe into rebelle any colors. So far I saved a copy of the image then import the image and it does decent. not perfect but ok. I need some brushes and made 2 of my own so far. I want a ron ranson hake brush type since i started watercolor with those brushes first.

Your videos showing the software are great. My wife wants to dump Adobe for these. She also needs a new 2-n-1 laptop for this. What does everyone use? Her current 2-n-1 is a 3 year old Lenovo yoga which she will hand down to our kids. Also, has anyone gotten the Rebelle software free for art teachers?

I don't know what kind of laptop would be happy running Rebelle. Artrage is fast and pretty lightweight. But Rebelle needs a little bit more CPU and RAM muscle. I will look around! As to the art teacher question... I am just exploring that myself! I will post a video when I have figured it out!

Daniel Ibanez thanks for the info. My wife tested the Rebelle 4 only on a work/college laptop & was impressed but saw severe lag. Her Lenovo 2in1 though has an NVIDIA gpu, lots of memory etc so it should perform better. I will let you know how that works. But most 2-n-1s only have onboard gpu’s so people need to be aware
She sent a request to Rebelle this weekend asking about the art teacher offer as well. But unless she knows the college has good enough macs or pc’s to run it then they should review the ArtRage6 instead.

@@joshuaa3075 let me know how it goes! I know that both software programs do not use GPU acceleration. They rely on the CPU only... Desktops should be in better shape with Rebelle. And new laptops with new CPUs should also do better! My home desktop is a new ryzen 5 CPU and I use 32 GB of ddr4 RAM

excellent video. what specs on your computer? i have a mid 2015 macbook pro, and when i try to use watercolors, my fans are screaming within 1 minute

Thank you!I bet! My machine is a new Ryzen 5 cpu and RTX 2060 with 32GB ram. It is definitely a demanding program. My fans get going too!
