Those of you who think this song ISN'T amazing need to open your minds a little bit. Saying you don't like this "new" Pink is ignorant; artists evolve, they branch out and take risks. That's what it's all about. Her voice is so versatile…it's genius to do an album like this, especially with somebody as talented as Dallas. I'm amazed at how well their voices mesh. It's like silk. I seriously can't wait for this album.
I see it as this isn't pink, this is you and me, when she stamps pink on a record it'll have that pink sound but if this isn't a one off deal and she has a follow up record with Dallas then I will be expecting this sound - it's a clever move having two aliases, two different sounds, appealing to more than one audience and it's with Dallas (my favourite artist) which makes it even better
Great point!!! I agree with you! But Alecia/Pink has alot of very young fans who like Pink and that's it. This is for sure Alecia as a mom, a wife, a daughter a friend and by far an amazing and talneted artist.
Pam Martinez I am one of these "young fans". I absolutely ADORE her. She is without a doubt my idol. And as a fan i have watched her grow and change. Yes there has been times where i haven't liked one song out of ten. But she is amazing, and the reason why i look up to her is to listen to the powerful words she portrays, being a rock song, RnB, pop or folk, she has a way of sending a message to her audience in such a relative way, which is what each artist should be able to do. Connect with his/her audience, not everything is for the 'pure entertainment'.

This song deserved more recognition
Still to this day, the most beautiful, buttery, harmonized chorus ive ever heard.
I remember when she first came out and a lot of people said she left all of her black fans when she did the second album. And then she did her own thing and got more fans than she EVER would have if she continued to be a product of the industry. I loved her then, loved her in the middle, love her now, and will always love her. She does what she wants and whatever she feels. She wanted to collaborate with him because she likes him and that's it. She didn't go into it with the mindset of her next big music move. It was a fun adventure and experience and she can probably give two shits if people don't like it because she doesn't fit into a box some people want to put her in.

Agree with you, but I do wish one day she'll drop another R&B record, because, regardless of the color of her skin, Pink can sing her ass off and was one of the few artists that could pull R&B music off.

I was stoked to have discovered this collaboration she did with Dallas. I adore her not only as "Pink", but as herself. Her essence as a woman who has a great talent to offer the world, and is constantly evolving, and as an artist I can appreciate that.

Some fans said that they aren't fold of this "new P!nk". As far as I'm concerned she's doing a wonderful job with this new project. I'm totally fond of this because I like eclectic artists who constantly re-invent themselves. P!nk is one of them, she's a true artist who isn't following the masses by doing what's cool, mainstream or already seen out there. She's taking "risks" and being original as always. Plus it's another chance for Alecia to show how much versatile she is artistically and vocally.
Change is the constant. Those people will be the old geezers in a few years reminiscing over the music of their generation, and complaining about what "these kids today" listen to.

Someone summed this up for me over on a Mariana's Trench comment section: people fall in love with a specific SOUND of an artist--not the artist or their creativity. When those artists grow (as all of us do) and diverge from a particular sound, fans can get upset. We need to respect the artist for the wonderful music they're able to create. We can learn so much about them, and the music we love from them. P!nk is great.

Because she said in a newer interview (about this project) that P!nk is a stage name and this album was a collaboration between friends. Dallas doesn't call her P!nk and so she used her given name for this album.

Like everything I ever wanted for Pink. Love that she has gone back to the raw music to show her amazing talent. I think what I love most about this version of Pink is that it is heartfelt and not so commercial - it feels like its made purely for the music and the message, not for money or fame or anything else. I love that, 'cause that's what music is and should always be.

Only talented singers can sing every type of music there is... Whoever said this is a new P!nk clearly doesn't know P!nk it's not a surprise that she's doing this kind of music. She has always changed her style in the past 10 years from r&b, to pop rock, to punk rock, to pop to now folk. She is an amazing artist and can do whatever genre she desires. If you guys were true fans you'd have an open mind to it and stand by her.
Besides it's not only P!nk doing a change it's also Dallas Green even though there minor changes it's still a change. He went from metalcore, to acoustic, to rock with folk elements, to indie, to alternative, to now actual folk
Both artist have had many music shifts but that doesn't mean there any less good it actually means there better to know more music and more music styles.

i think what really describes music is the stuff that sticks around the longest in our society. Journey, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones what sets them aside from the rest? they were remembered for their music. Now i cant predict the future but i believe artists like Dallas Green and pink are artists we will talk about to future generations , "i remember when Dallas Green and Pink collaborated to make an album together and i can still listen to it" thats what i think makes music genuine and "real"

For all you who are saying you need to listen to City and Colour or don't know Dallas Green, listen to his solo work but you also need to check out his band 'Alexisonfire' before he went solo, it can get quite heavy but it's completely different to what you would think heavy is, the music is crafted incredibly well, the screamo fits in with the music and Dallas voice just makes it. Don't be put off by the word 'screamo' because this band, in my opinion, is one the best bands of our generation.

The songs I've heard from them have been good so far, but all I can think about when I listen to them is how Pink's voice is getting in the way between my ears and Dallas Green's sweet, beautiful, heavenly, angel voice. I'd prefer a new C&C album over this any day.
Absolutely loving the fact that these two have collaborated. I've been a massive P!nk fan since her first album, and huge fan of Dallas Green since day one of City and Colour and before that with Alexisonfire. Yeah, this album is clearly going to be different to P!nk's previous sound, but why does that have to be a bad thing? Artists are allowed to have more than one side to them, so this style is just another expression of herself. My favourite album is I'm Not Dead too, but I'm personally really loving this track and can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

This song is so sad :( this was playing at my friends funeral and the slideshow her parents made was playing this song and it involved pictures of me and her in kindergarten... She passed away of stage 4 lung cancer. :'(
RELAX people! Pink is NOT DEAD! This is her TRUE self. I think it's "brilliant" that she ventured off to do another side of her that NONE of us know/knew of! We will of course hear her "Pink" music in the future, I'm sure! It's a real blessing to know that you have a born talent to do more than one thing, or one style of music.

I was in the car and heard the song "You and Me" (caught the middle of it) and not knowing who the artists were -the lyrics and voices just caught my ears. I couldn't believe when the radio host said it was Pink!

I love this, Pink has always been one of my favorite artists and she can sing anything, her voice is just amazing and real.
you people who are naive enough to believe that Pink is straying away from her style. no. she has roots in r&b, pop, punk, & rock. as for Dallas Green...everything he touches is GOLD. one of his early careers stared in a metalcore band called Alexisonfire. With their talent and harmonizing, this duo is completely true to themselves. i think it's perfectly artistic of them to challenge themselves to a side project of this magnitude.
Okay, there is no "new" P!nk! This was a project, a special one at that, that she and Dallas did TOGETHER. And it's beautiful. The songs on this album are so beautiful and P!nk and Dallas are in each song. Open your mind! Listen to the music! If you still don't like it you don't have to listen to it anymore.

Alecia Moore aka Pink aka you+me. She has a great voice! Very talented!!! I'm 64 years old and love her voice. This lady has emotion and feelings in her songs no matter who she sings about or with.

Regardless of how P!nk "changes" (which she hasn't, so I don't know what some of you are even talking about) she is still talented regardless. She isn't like artists who aren't true to themselves just to sell an album. Every album P!nk has put out, she has been true to herself and she doesn't give a care what people think. I think that is why I love her not only as an artist but as a person.
I'm slightly bias as ive been a Pink fan from day one. You can always feel her passion towards what she does im really enjoying this collaboration as it's Alecia were seeing :). I also think i need to listen to City and Colour and find out what there all about.

This is NOT a "new P!nk". This is Alecia Moore singing from her soul! True fans CAN feel it. Different sound? Sure. But like any amazing artist (and she is the best there ever was/is/will be) she has the ability to cross genres. Plus the song is with a close friend (Dallas Green) and she wrote it for her mother (did I even mention what an unbelievable song writer she is as well?! ). Just open your mind & listen to the smooth lyrics. So clean, clear. Beautiful.
