I actually own the XDuuo XA-10 and decided to place it on my nightstand next to my bed ... with my Focal Celestees hanging next to it. Since the Celestees are closed-back, this is a great setup for me to listen to while on my bed so as to not disturb my wife. This combination is superb! The DAC sounds great and the amplifier has tons of power. With my Celestees ... music is so engaging and enveloping. Such a great, convenient setup that sounds great! Cheers for the lovely review dude. I've been humming and harring about getting one of these. My only gripe with it was that there isn't a balanced output on the back... Meaning I'd have to run an XLR from the front into my xduoo Mt 604. I still want to grab one of these regardless as I am a tart and it matches the 604 lol. Hell, I'll just have to get a cool looking XLR. Reminds me of 1940's radio gear lolol xx

Some of the other reviewers say the top end is a little rolled off and say it’s not the most detailed and transparent performing, I have a zen dac signature and a zen can amp with a hybrid amp I use as a pre amp for my 6xx’s. Don’t know if you are at all familiar with the Zen kit as a new subscriber, but if you are is this a step up or sideways, apart from the power.
Yes I've heard a few reviewers say this has a warmer sound signature. Thing is people often mistake lack of detail with a lack of treble. What you'll find is the detail is there, it's just not presented up front. I'd say this would be a perfect partner for some brighter headphones one would wish to tame so to speak xx
@@proffessasvids yes that is very true, bright treble gives the impression of detail, but it can be fatiguing and of course after really listening and brain training you will tell if the detail is there or not.
