NoMad travel internet is a dream for small business owners, travelers and those that live in rural communities. The nomad travel internet comes equiped with a 60,000mah battery that lasts a week. perfect for camping trips, or just getting away.
I put this thing to the test and it works great. I saw speeds that ranged between 20mbps on up to 200mpbs. my kids used the internet for gaming, streaming, watching netflix and more. The nomad travel internet can handle up to 15 devices streaming simulataniously. I tested up to 5 devices streaming at the same time and had no issues.
For me, what's exciting is the ability to take the nomad travel internet with me while i'm working. I often times find myself in rural communities that lack cell reception. the nomad device runs on a c band internet. c band cellular reception travels farther than 5g antennas. this allows you to get fast internet in rural areas that have little to no options. To test this out I hit the streets and traveled 100 miles one direction and went through every small town i could find. The results were satisfying. I received internet speeds between 30mbps on up to 200mbps in rural towns.
The lesson i learned was this. The nomad hardware works very well. if you find a dead or have issues connecting it's most likely going to be related to the nearest cell tower to you. The speeds cannot be guaranteed due to this principle. You will only receive the bandwidth available by the nearest cell tower. Хобби
That is awesome. Didn't know you were an IT guy. You are a man of many talents 👍🏻. I guess the Moon is off limits for now 😂
Thank you kindly
I have to admit that's a very big logo on the router lol, but probably have the internet service to back it up. lol. Great video
Hahah I thought the same
Good night!Pest,wow! so epic . ))
good night to you to
Did anyone else think the Ginja got hacked, or spoofed?
Soooo, Ginja. How is this different from USB Tethering on the cell phone?
Tethering is an on demand system that is throttled.
This is a dedicated service and the hardware is much more capable when it routes to multiple devices
This was very helpful and informal, how do I check the speed on my local cell phone towers though? Thanks!
You can do a search on your cell phone for internet speed test. But...... it'll max out at the speed your phone is capable of receiving.
The nice thing is if your happy with what your phone speed is you still get a 30 day money guarantee on the product.
Not sure why this helps in rural vs your phone. Both are dependent on the network towers?
Often times cell services get one bar or no bars and this device can handle it
Your cell phone limits your mobile hotspot tethering. This seems to be unlimited.
So it's the same speed and price as an entry level Starlink but relies on a cell tower to work?
Yup 👍 very close
I’d be curious to know what the transmitting power of this device is relative to a standard smart phone. I guess it helps when the sole purpose of the device is geared to boost and deliver data.
Both cells and this device are geared more towards the receiving end. The antenna of the nomad will receive c band, 5g, 4g etc where the cell doesn’t connect via c band.
@@pestandlawnginja I’m excited about getting cell service at my house this month. I’ve lived in my house for ten years (new area at the time) in Airdrie AB and it took this long to get beyond one bar. As result most of us have landlines or VOIP lines. But I guess we are dealing with engineers so you know…practical solutions aren’t what they do. However I will say the FTTH works beautifully.
right on! that's exciting@@Michael_Livingstone
Yes, but how do we get rid of weeds?
👊🏻😹
Here, have another drink. 🥃🍺 😁👍
😁
What above service in forested areas?
I've had good luck with it. but you're subject to how close the nearest tower is. the good news is you get a full guarantee on the device. if it doesn't work you can send it back.
My boy gone techie I love it 😂❤
