Ribbon Road is my favorite course in Mario Kart history. It’s been my favorite since Super Circuit, so this was a cool video to finally see my favorite course being number 1 on someone’s list

I think the most memorable are, Sky Garden, Bowser Castle 1, Cheese Land, Ribbon Road, Bowser Castle 3 and slightly Mario Circuit.

To me it’s Waluigi Pinball, I will admit that Mario Kart 8’s Ribbon Road is very fantastic and probably my favorite retro course of all time, but when it comes to my favorite retro tracks it’s Waluigi Pinball. It’s just one of those courses that you can’t hate

I feel like Mario Kart 8's Wario's Goldmine made the track a lot worse from the original by making the mine karts a good thing to hit, removing a lot of the challenge. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the shortcut at the end is no longer even any faster in MK8, which is dumb.

Yeah, I don't even know what they could could have done to the layout of the track to make that section longer, rather than a shortcut. Seems like a huge oversight, as if they didn't even realize when recreating the layout that they made the shortcut longer.

JayLeGee I felt the original version was to clunky and unfinished. MK8 gave it that aesthetic appease it needed! If I had one problem with MK8 it would be not bringing tracks like Coconut Mall, Maple Treeway, Mushroom Gorge and Waluigi Pinball! Imagine those tracks in HD

The only things I would change in this list from my own:
- I'd swap SNES Mario Circuit 3 and 1. I know, its in the Lightning Cup, but the one turn on the track is rather rediculous for karts to make, and its not designed very well for Mario Kart Wii.
- Where's N64 DK Jungle Parkaway and DS Delfino Square from Wii?
- I'd also put GCN Baby Park's MK8 version a little bit higher on the list, as the music's aspect is cool, but you do not really get to hear the regular version unless you buy its OST.

I like how you say Mario Circuit 3 isn't that good because karts can't really make the turn, and then someone else in the comment section says Mario Circuit 3 is one of their favorites because the turns work really well with the inside-drifting bikes.
You can tell when people have different priorities when it comes to the enjoyment of a game.
