    I have made 5 of these scrappy turtle mops so far to keep and give away. I have one right next to my dog's water bowl. Practical and cute. Thanks for sharing.

    I have made these and people love them. I don't put the "eyes" on to prevent scratching of floors.

    When I have crazy quilted in the past, my strips did not exceed the sides of the shape. No trimming was required. As the block grew, so did the lengths of strips. To vary the look, strips could be of irregular widths enabling more imperfect scraps to be incorporated and making the design naturally crazy without wasting strips by overlaps and trims .
    As a finished block your turtle is beautiful.
