  • The water is cooling, But sydney's inshor reefs are still firing. Big schools of bait and hungry predators are still out in numbers at Sydney's Long Reef.
    This adhoc session turned into an attempted jigging tutorial before an enourmous fish ruined it (and my drag).
    based on a conversation I had with another angler I will do an indepth inshore/offshore tutorial on a technique and strategy I use so subscribe if you are keen to see that when the weather finally gets a bit better.

    Just wanted to say been watching your content for sometime, and I love it!
    Picked up a hobie revolution for $500 which was a steal, been using it on and off, can’t wait to try it in a spot similar to this video!
    Good stuff cballz!

      That is a steal! Honestly even if you buy a brand new one for 5k it's a steal for how good they are!!
      Hope you build up the confidence to get out there safely soon!

      I think I'm a member but I'm yet to post anything. Winter is a great time from a swell and wind perspective. I'll try and find you as cballz is my alias (no one named their child that obviously)

    At long reef, where would you park your car ? isn't it so expensive parking fee area ?

    • @cballzoutdoors
      @cballzoutdoors  Месяц назад

      Yes.. it's expensive $45, but being close to the landing is worth it if you are wrecked after the a big day on the water

      @cballzoutdoors 45. Wow. That's bit much. However is that wave calmer than other beach ? I want to go and join you when u go offshore near northern area including ling reef.

      @cballzoutdoors  Месяц назад +1

      @emales2 yeah it is very calm compared to other areas. Follow me on imstagram because I'll normally post something when I'm heading out (I'm injured at the moment so probably not till the new year)

    Nice video! Which beach do you launch from? Looks very calm..

    • @cballzoutdoors
      @cballzoutdoors  7 месяцев назад

      It's called fishermans Beach, and I launch to the south of the boat ramp. Only caution is a massive drop off can sometimes form at the break that you can step off and fall over

    Just wondering what kayak do you have and is your seat an actual seat or is it like on the kayak

    • @cballzoutdoors
      @cballzoutdoors  7 месяцев назад +1

      Details description 👌 hobie revolution 13. If you are sub 85kg, you can go an 11 and be just as comfortable

    • @liamchan4929
      @liamchan4929 7 месяцев назад +1

      Is the seat like an indent on the kayak or a proper seat

    • @cballzoutdoors
      @cballzoutdoors  7 месяцев назад

      It's an adjustable raised seat. But for this fishing, I drop it as low as possible and am sitting in water. Probably more comfortable than sitting on the hull but you end up soggy after a few hours 🥲
