What a great team you are! I have crabapple trees for all those reasons.🙂🌸🌿
I don't know if it was everything I needed to know but some good information.
I got a southern crabapple tree here in southern Ontario Canada probably the only one. Bought it in Alabama and brought it home
Very cool!
You might need two trees.
Just saw this tree in my local Walmart and came here to check it out from the same farm.
I just bought 2 from Wal-Mart
I'm all for native plants, but as disease & pest resistance is concerned, native status doesn't score as many points when we've gone and imported scads of Asian and European bugs and diseases. :(
could the fruits get bigger and more sweeter when grafted to another rootstock???
Yes that is why grafting is done. To create the largest tastiest fruit possible.
Just so you know, apple trees aren't native in America.
Thanks Don
Pretty sure I read there are at least 3 species of CRABAPPLE native to North America. And this video is about Crabapple trees. I'm not sure on regular apple trees but on the crabapple I'm pretty solid.
Tell that to Malus ioensis...
