Before setting the Elmer glue leaf in resin you can lightly spray it with pledge furniture spray. Very lightly It will s allow you to easily pull the glue leaf form away from the resin. It is technique like a mold release but it's a nice barrier for you to be able to release your pieces away from silicon, wax,or resins. I hope this helps 😁
HALLELUJAH !! 😄 Wow, I've been looking high and low for a more economical, mold release alternative. Thank you SO , SO much for sharing this great tip. I super appreciate it sis' ♥️. May God bless you.
Nice, thank you for your tip. I bought a mold release product and used. But pledge may be a bit more economical for me to experiment with, since I am new to the craft.
An unusual and beautiful effect. I was thinking that the Elmers moulds could also be used for making impressions on air-dry clay - and re-used many times too!
Clear, concise & charming narration with none of the “watching paint dry” boredom (thanks to wonderful editing!) Your finished piece is lovely & a stunning piece of art.
I agree! The only thing I do is Acrylic painting, which I took up a year ago. This is SO gorgeous! I really do not think that I would have the patience for something like this... Kudos to her, and all who do these type of crafts! I have a whole knew appreciation for these types of pieces! 🥰
Wow!!! Unbelievably beautiful!!! I’ve never seen this technique used before. That Elmer’s glue really is quite surprisingly strong… I never imagined. You should be so proud of your art… very beautiful and very unique. Thank you for sharing!
The tray has turned out beautiful. Love the way the mica powders wakeup in colour when you put the top coat on. Yet again you make it look so easy. Thank you 💝💝💝
one good thing about Elmer's glue, it is water soluble, so soaking the piece would dissolve the glue but destroy the inlay. I'm thankful you got them out without destroying them. what a cool project!
Wonderful! I have been an artist for 30 years and am always looking for new ways to work with leaves in my art. My daughter was autistic and her most favourite thing ever was walking around the block - I mean EVERY. DAY. - and watching the leaves in the trees to see what they were doing: from the gentle ripples which she told me "The trees are whispering!" ...and each more furious movements of the leaves depending on the strength of the wind having their own "activities" assigned to them, such as "The leaves are dancing!" (her sister was in dance classes), and "The leaves are clapping!" You know...kid blew my mind...she was right: the leaves rustling gently sounded exactly like a group of people whispering, and when the wind was strong, the leaves sounded like a large audience applauding! Seanna's autism was caused by a serious acquired brain injury when she was only two months old, but Jeezus was this kid smart! She made observations that the rest of us completely missed. Seanna died in a seizure in 2007 just shy of her 16th birthday, but I will forever walk through the world, among the trees, differently, with eyes and ears open, now with my own passion for leaves. Working with them brings her back to me, places her right back there in the studio beside me, if only for moments here and there. I had some wonderful ideas for some new art while watching this video. I agree with the comments: you created an excellently edited and narrated tutorial. Thank you!!! It is my great pleasure to subscribe to your channel and look through your other videos. Blessings...Steph
Oh, that is seriously incredible ❤ I have never seen this done before. Great to see such a beautiful and original work of art, that doesn't seem unachievable due to costs. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece x
Making art is so wonderful. I do think you might think about creating without so much plastic at every step. Every piece of plastic you throw away will be on this earth for 600 YEARS. (they say). You have a lovely eye and make beautiful things.
Excellent idea with the glue mould ❤ the leaves turned out so beautiful and looking charmingly natural although with the magic of the chameleon pigments ❤❤❤ And the elegance of the almost patine around the border of the tray, the weary shimmer of ancient gold on the black surface, oh such a fine touch ❤ Congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow surprisingly beautiful ❤ I'm surprised the Elmer's School Glue worked because it's not permanent. The Elmer's All Purpose is permanent and does not break down if it gets wet. Great video! Thank you.
Your tray is simply… beautiful. I decided to watch your video when it popped up o my screen, and am so happy I did. I had absolutely no idea what you were doing or making until the very end of your video. I have seen videos of resin projects before but not used in the same way you’ve demonstrated. After seeing your video and what amazing things that can be done using resin, I may give it a try: only time will tell. I am eagerly waiting for your next project and seeing what you’ll produce that I’ve subscribed to your channel so I won’t miss it. Thank you for the pleasure your artwork has brought me.
I absolutely love watching others do their artwork. You’re very creative and make beautiful things. 💝👍🏽💯 This project came out perfectly. It’s absolutely beautiful.
This is one the most beautiful resin projects I have seen. This the second time I've watched this video. I am trying to decide what project to use this technique on, Thank you so much for sharing this,
A true lesson in eloquence and imagination, dhared prefectly. You are a study of Master craft. I have enjoyed this profoundly on so many levels but mostky yo know there is domeone such as yourself tgat is creative, kind spoken andxsharing. You have no idea how proud you should be of yoursrlf for so many reasons. That was definitely not JUST what met the eye but even more what you serendipitously shared of yourself .....so thanks! I got lots and lots out of that and cant wait to see more.
Loved this idea, I do have a suggestions to can buy mould making fluid. It’s a mix together liquid. Maybe try after the balm layer in stead of adding glue, use this fluid and dome it as you can with resin (instead of the glue) this would make a longer lasting push in to your resin dish. Using the mould material it should be able to life of your first layer of resin and be reusable. This just a suggestion and in the long run it should save you lots of time and money. I have not done it but I am going to experiment doing this and I will let you know how it went.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I was thinking that you could put something in the back of it before it hardens to hang it by as an option. It is so incredibly beautiful!❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome experimenting video, Ms Shalina 😍😍,these leaves glue inlays are amazing and low cost options for crafters like me.I can definitely try something like this.Thank you for sharing this wonderful video, keep inspiring 😍💜💜
Absolutely stunningly gorgeous ❤ Wow fantastic idea you had using the glue Shalina. I will definitely be trying this. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all ❤Take great care and hope all is well with you and your family ❤
What an amazing piece of art! The idea, colors, and final outcome are wonderful and look like i might be able to do this. So many that i cant....(I am close to deaf so i watch w/o sound and when you started pulling the first leaf off, i thought that a mistake had been made and thought, " oh no!". Then i realized it was intentional and just sat there eagerly watching to see what happened next. To my surprise and delight, you created this beautiful plate! Id like to ask one question though. Would it help or hinder putting the release in the leaves as well? Lol at least you would have softer leaves. 😂😂😂😂
You are my hero!!!! Thank you soooo much!!! ❤❤❤

WOW Beautiful
That would look great with the glow in the dark glue. Elmer's makes it also.
OMG! That's a lovely idea! ❤
That's one of the most beautiful resin art projects that I've seen... stunning!
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words .
Oh wow that tray is absolutely gorgeous. That was such a great idea with the leaves and glue!!❤
Thank you so much! 😊
I treated my leaves with mineral oil. Perhaps a little mineral oil on the leaf before the glue may act as a release for the glue. Great idea! 💡 🔥
Spray the leaves very lightly with cooking oil before applying the glue. That insures an easy leaf, glue removal❤
Wow!!! Unbelievably beautiful!!! I’ve never seen this technique used before. That Elmer’s glue really is quite surprisingly strong… I never imagined. You should be so proud of your art… very beautiful and very unique. Thank you for sharing!

Amazing and so lovely ❤ I wonder if a little bit of mold release would help get the leaves free easier.
Thank you so much! Next time, I will keep that in mind 😊
@@teaandartPledge furniture polish spray does the same as "mold release" and much cheaper.
Wow surprisingly beautiful ❤ I'm surprised the Elmer's School Glue worked because it's not permanent. The Elmer's All Purpose is permanent and does not break down if it gets wet.

I guess you need to use food safe resin if for food exposure.
