1. At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
2. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
3. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
4. how he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
5. Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
6. But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
7. But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
8. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Ive been to alot if services. This is the first time i sat and watched for 2 hrs. This Bishop is the real deal. He loves Jesus. I usually would change channel or walk out. I just started watching him, i think its been a month now. Godbless all who are watching or reading this. Godbless.

The 4th commandment Remember my Sabbath and keep it Holy. Believe the Bible as its written. Revelations tells us 22:18 and :19 tells us why not to add or take away from the word of God. The Pharisees added laws to the Sabbatb where it was almost unrecognizable. Sunday was not a day of worship until 1000 years after Jesus rose from the grave. Satan has removed the Sabbath from the minds and hearts of this generation. If you think a man can change a commandment then you have been decieved.
Truth about the 4th commandment... Remember....Jesus kept the Sabbath...even in the tomb.

Yea he's good very good, at leading the sheep to slaughter that is. First of all the sabbath day the 7th day of the week "Saturday" is established from the beginning. Yes the most high Yahusha does not stop working in keeping everything together, but on the 7th day the sabbath he rested from "creating". The sabbath is forever, exodus 31: 13-16, Leviticus 16:31 and 24:8. Yahusha(jesus) is not the sabbath, this preacher here is false in this understanding. Mark 1:21, 6:2, 15:42, Luke 4:16, 13:10, Acts 17:2, John 5:16-17, 14:12-15, 14:29-31. All these are talking abt the sabbath being a actual day, nowhere in scripture does it says Yahusha(jesus) is the rest or sabbath. The sabbath day(Saturday) is a commandment the (4th commandment) for us to keep. Yahusha (jesus) did not do away with this law PERIOD
MATTHEW 5:13-20. HE DID NOT COME TO DESTROY THE LAW NOR THE PROPHETS, BUT TO EXECUTE THE LAW scripture has it as "fulfilled" but fulfilled never means to do away with. Yes he's very good indeed, but if you don't read the Bible for yourselves, you'll be lead to slaughter my friends.

This is true Jesus is our rest. But it doesn’t mean that we stop keeping the sabbath. It is still part of the 10 commandments. It is still a sin to not keep the sabbath just like lying is a sin. Jesus showed us that to keep the sabbath it is not about taking it to an extreme like the Jews did back then.
I can't agree. One of the commands is to Remember the Sabbath, to keep it Holy. There are specific instructions about how we are to keep the Sabbath, what we can and can't do. I get confused about what is work though....can I pull weeds in my garden, can I go for a walk, clean up a mess if I spill my food, etc. I have not kept the Sabbath well.

The best way to remember how to keep Sabbath is "does this action or activity glorify God?" Like watching sports you probably shouldn't do on the Sabbath, exercising probably not. Reading the word, researching things on RUclips or the internet about our Lord and saviour yes, when put into simplicity it's easier to understand. There is a scripture which explains it perfectly I can't remember it though. Check out Marc The Messenger, he has a video on what you can do on Sabbath and how to keep it. God bless

Well, good attempt but the true Sabbath of God is the 7th Day and this happens after the 6th Day or 6,000 years which is about to come true very soon. ST Paul in Hebrews talks about Gods true Rest being the Sabbath and how the Jews back then were not worthy of entering. Its not about the Jews time warping ahead into the Christain era, no, but its about the Millenial reign of Christ coming soon for all beleivers -from old and new. Everywhere you go, you find evidence for this truth. Christ returns to setup His Kingdom on earth along with heaven together. Dont forget the parable about the 3 parts of leavened bread and how those martyed for their faith will rule the nations with a rod of iron and all this only happens after Christ comes to judge the world - not before. See Psalms 82.

Dear Bishop Mari Emmanuel. When God writes the law with His own finger on stone. When God’s law is mentioned through out the generations in the Bible from Gen. through to Rev. and Jesus Him self says if you love me you keep my commandment John 14:15 and gives us so many proofs how many people God destroyed because they did not keep his law. You bet your life Bishop Mari Emmanuel that I will take His commandments seriously and would not want to have anyone’s blood on my shoulders telling them not to take His law serous or not to take it literally .
Gen.2:2-3 if you read it carefully you will see that God rested from the work He created and made. (He is done creating so He sets this day to the side).
The pharisees did not take the Sabbath literally but they added about 7000 more rules and regulations on the people to make the Sabbath unbearable, God never gave us or required of us to do more than we can handle that is why he went against the pharisees on the Sabbath and healed people, it is a day of rest from making and creating not from doing good deeds and being merciful.
No where in the Bible does it talk about the Sunday or the eighth day Bishop Mari. When I left the Catholic Church and started my own learning journey the Holy Spirit protected me from fall teaching by telling me never to accept any teaching or explanations if someone cannot back up his or her teaching from the Bible.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I've been following your teachings and I praise God for your ministry. About this sermon titled "The Sabbath." I listened very carefully what you preached.. unfortunately you forgot to give us the biblical backing for your points like God alone rests, Sabbath is not a particular day of the week and that creation happened only in 3 days. All these points don't have a biblical basis and therefore I would like to express my contrary views through the holy bible.
On days of creation.
In Genesis chapter 1 from verse 3 to 31 we see what and how creation was specifically made on each particular day from first day to sixth day.. it doesn't say the last 3 days depended on the creation of the first 3 days.
On God alone does rest on the Sabbath.
It's very true that after creation in 6 days. God rested on the 7th day(the sabbath) He blessed it and sanctified it. Does that mean then that only Him can rest?? The answer is NO! If the sabbath or rest was only for God.. it would never have been part of the 10 commandments.. I mean, for what reason would God command Himself for?? Instead, the bible is very clear in Exodus 20 verses 8 to 11 and I quote.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."
So the sabbath day is God's special day and He commands us to rest from all our labour so that we dedicate this special time worshipping Him who is our creator.

I think you have missed the word of God when it comes to Sabbath .Exodus 20;8-11 please explain all 4 verses. The bible explains to us humans (REMEMBER) Sabbath.again ill be happy if all what you say should be backed by the scripture .
Exodus 20:11 For in SIX DAYS the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in SIX DAYS the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Generally speaking, I agree with Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel. But I know that in the Hebrew ,the days of an week are interpreted as numbers, as Yom 1=first day, Yom 6=the sixth day, and when it comes for the seventh day rhey put it like Sabbath= the seventh. Remember the Yom Kippur = The day og Attonement. I belive God established a routine for men, as: six days work, one day rest. As Lord Jesus said : "The Sabbath was created for man, not the man for the Sabbath."

Bishop Mari Emmanuel doesn't need background music. His speech is music for atencious souls. If it were possible to share a link with only his original audio, for just listening the Word without any sound I would appreciate. While trying to listening, I try to mute the music in my mind and then disappears, but that extra effort, I would like to invest in learning his teachings better. Thanks a lot for sharing these teachings and I apologise if this comment produce any sadness. So sad to see how many people commenting here are missing this important revelation about the Sabbath not being a day but being Jesus. So many people here are still so fanatical about a day and the rituals of a day, they miss what Jesus said about the Sabbath when he, himself liberated us from the worship of day when he worked on the Sabbath. Every day is a Sabbath day. Every day is holy under God. Every day we are to do good deeds. Every day we are to honor God. So many closed minds to this teaching.
Everyday is not the Sabbath, everyday is not holy.
God chose one day out of six days and made only one day holy. Sabbath is Saturday, this day is the seal of the living God....we can never change what God has said.
Jesus is not the Sabbath either. How can Jesus be a day? Doesn't make sense.
The Saturday Sabbath was not done away with, it will be kept forever in heaven.
