Two things: 1) I can't get enough of Ari Melber and for more reasons than I want to spend the time writing out. 2) I've always thought very well of Tom Hanks, but this was the first interview I've seen of his where he was given the opportunity to go deep and bring out some very solid nuggets of wisdom born of experience and knowledge. I feel enriched for having watched this interview.

In the back of my mind I was thinking of my first wife who I was married to for 35 years and felt I knew and experienced and felt the kind of Love Ove felt for his wife Sonia. Then I allowed myself to watch the movie, "A Man called Otto" Tom Hanks made from the book. Both the book and the movie brought me to tears knowing I had experienced that kind of special love for another person in my life.

Ari Melber is right up there one of the most thoughtful interviewers/hosts in mainstream US media. His questions and comments are always insightful and seemingly low key. Yes, has has a list of questions, but you feel that he has the mental flexibility to react to what his guest is saying; that he actually listens and responds to what his guest is saying. Here, without being gushing in his (and our) admiration, his questions gave Tom Hanks the man the space to show why we like and admire Tom Hanks the actor so much. This interview should be included in a media course.

He made romcoms' like sleepless in Seattle and Joe vs the Volcano, but I first really saw him when he made the movie BIG. He brings so much charm and compassion to the characters he plays and like so many actors that play themselves maybe thats who he is and it comes across on screen whether its an "in person" role or an animated role like the Toy Story films.

Tom Hanks is one of us humans with a almost super power like level of skill in one or a few specific things. In terms of acting, there are definitely a few humans alive now and in the past that are AS GOOD AS Tom Hanks. On the other hand, I'd venture to say no one is hands down, INDISPUTABLY better than he is. Not only that but he's also got the, IT, " factor that all our top political leaders have. Akin to John F. Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton, Obama and Trump, Hanks has what they had, as far as likability, rhetorical gifts, the, " I wanna have a beer with them, " to trait. You just believe him. Very few ppl and even fewer of the actors who we'd put in his class have this skill at this level. He could easily run for and win a position in public office. Those with and eye for this, " it, " factor know what I mean. He OOZES the, " IT. "

What a fantastic interview of a great actor by a great moderator. It was a win-win interview. Thank you to both gentlemen.

Just a great person. I was impressed with his discussion of his characters' ethos (and his own) to the hip hop artists who noted him in their songs.

What shows the most about the TomHanks interview is his intelligence. Next is his profound humanity. Great to see this in an individual. Thanks Ari.
