I have a friend that makes them work for it then sends them money through Western Union, but with a wrong reference number, that way it makes them go to pick it up😊

Bakla is trying to be creative. Tell him to go into the fashion industry and earn a real living by actually going to work. Paul Stanley from the band KISS contacted me in a similar way but amazingly enough I was a roady and stage manager on the east coast for all acts in my area and KISS was one of the acts in which I met all of the members through the Wounded Warrior Project being a disabled veteran. I played along with the guy who wanted to send me tens of thousands but of course needed me to send money first to get his money which of course was all fabricated.

i read comments on utube channels whose content are expats living in PH. Whenever a comment comes up encouraging investment on crypto or stocks, I click on the 3 buttons next the comment and report it as unwanted commercial content or spam

They leave me alone. I don't get involved with anyone online. There is no friendship with someone you don't know online. Even if you talk with them for years online without ever meeting.There is no romance online. There is infatuation and stupidity. I stay clear of both.

I rarely if ever get a personal call anymore. Between my cell phone and home phone, probably get 10 scam calls a day. What is really interesting is that, because of VOIP technology, I'll get the same automated call from a different phone number. Voip technology allows anyone to program in what they want to be displayed on the receiver's phone. That's why people pick up the phone. Oh, the IRS is calling me, better pick up. Oh, the police department is calling me, better pick up. That's why so many older people get scammed.because they still come from a day and age where you are suppose to pick up the phone, especially when someone like the IRS or police are calling you.

Very nice video. Iv'e seen a lot of that nonsense also. I get great laughs from them. They often try to target my mother in law who is 82 and very forgetful. I keep her Facebook active so that she can communicate with her friends and family in the manila area. I almost always intercept the scammers and your right they always try to get you off Facebook and over to what's app etc.I sometimes play with them and waste their time then when when they think their about to get something I call them out! Hahaha. Anyway great awareness info your sharing.

My son and I are into crypto currency, and the scams are crazy common there. My son lost money in the beginning to a "beautiful Chinese girl", allegedly, who was making a lot of money mining crypto, like you mentioned. Lots of pictures shared, with many loving messages, and his lonely heart gave in. That's dirty pool right there.

I know 2 people that lost money money on crypto scams that started with the "cute Chinese girl" on Facebook. One guy lost $100k. Out of nowhere these victims get a message from the girl on Facebook. Does anyone ask themselves, "Is this normal?"

Ok, I’m about to hit you with some tough love, coming your way. “You” sir, are a future “mark.” Just like in the movies, a mark is what scammers and con men and women call, some one they’re going to con. You’re vulnerable because of your age, but here’s the main reason, it’s only a matter of time, before you “are” going to get scammed/conned. You volunteer to much info about yourself, from the beginning. And then, you make the mistake of “continuing” a conversation with someone. You ask them to send you a doctor’s bill. Sooner or later, a really good and polished con artist, “is” going to have all of the right answers to your questions. They’re going to have have the right docs to present you. And there it is. Because they had all of the right answers for you, they have the right documentation to convince you, they were extremely polite and courteous, and never lose the cool, you’re going to think they are legit. And there it is, they’ve got you. Mike, you’re a cool guy, so here’s the Toughlove, sooner or later, you are going to get conned. All this gonna be avoided by doing something very simple and easy. Stop the conversations with them. If you don’t know them, then don’t open dialogue with him. Don’t wanna, but you start a conversation with somebody, they’ve got you…

I was scammed going to El Nido. Guy selling some silver dollars that his grandfather had found in diving. Turned out to be fakes from China. Live and Learn

I've never been scammed, but I had my identity stolen after someone hacked my employers payroll system. Several hundred of us had our names, addresses, and SSN stolen. There was a credit card account opened in my name and bought a top of the line
cell phone. I spent hours on paperwork and on the phone to get it cleared up.

Your video help a lot to those people who are searching and looking for a lifetime partner.We learn/i learned a lot.I also met people(men)on online dating site and i feel sad about this kind of attitude.Not only men are doing this but also women.This is a shameful act specially to those Filipina women who act this way.

If these scammers (which they are) spent half as much time being productive in a legal sense they wouldn’t have to work so hard trying to steal instead of earning the old fashioned way by actually working.

Back when I was on a dating site, I would get a lot of requests for money from women. It was always interesting and sometimes entertaining to see their strategies. It's always somebody sick, the sick carabao, the broken cell phone or can't pay a loan. I would always ask to send a copy of their ID to make sure I spelled their names correctly on the money transfer. They didn't like that. Then I blocked them and never sent money.

My son is being scammed by a lady in the Philippines, hasn't met her in person we live in the USA, he believes he's in a relationship with her, he's sending her money, he's hearing impaired, he's never had a real girlfriend, my family and I feel bad for him but he doesn't understand that his so called girlfriend in the Philippines is a scammer, he won't listen to reason, we would like to expose her because he sends her money every paycheck he gets, we desperately asking for help.
Hi Mike and Janet! I get contacted by these types almost every day. They're a dime a dozen. It's almost becoming comedic, but I never cease to be amazed how many thirsty men continue to fall for these scams. Oh, well. Grown men should know better.

Your right though Mike. People are desperate and often times lonley. In my view it appears people are searching for love/friendship so much that they can't clearly see the scams right in front of them and they end up falling for it. Just like you said.

We get those scams in Cambodia a lot. You meet girls, then they send pictures of them in their rooms with IVs connected needing money. Women begging for milk for their child, only to return the milk to the store when you leave and splitting the profits with the store. The real shame is the people missing arms or legs, or are severely burned or blinded who are really forced to beg for their survival. Like you said, we have to follow our hearts who we give our money to and be aware of the scammers out there.

Excellent video esp for individuals who are not aware of these scams and fall for them. Having worked in the tech sector for over 20 years, red flags for me are automatic but I do know that others fall for these...good job once again! they also pose as youtubers that are in your watchlist and say you are a valuable subscriber, and want to send a macbook pro but need you to cover the shipping,,almost fell for this one but contacted the youtuber to verify .

My Best Friend and I both had the Great Fortune of winning the Nigerian Lottery on successive weeks. All we had to do was wire them $500 to claim our prizes. Of course we told them to take the $500 out of our winnings and send the rest but they said that they couldn't do it. Scammers everywhere.

Friend of a friend got rip by his Filipino wife. Ldr for three years, married her, brought her to the states and in three months took off and left her daughter with him. Girls 12 years old. Somehow, he got custody, and she's doing well.
Her mother is a piece of work! Girl drop a lot of info on her.
It's too long of a story to share here.
He thought he dotted all his i's and crossed his T's.

Gonna watch this video later, very informative, i was online a few times and never ever sent money to any women i have not met in person. But even then with my western girlfriends, at first i paid for coffee but i was not ready to pay for everything. I am a bit scared because i been single for 10 years now and i plan to work for another 10 years of so before retiring. I live near Montreal in Canada. So that will be 20 years single because i gave up on western women, they have nothing to offer me no values, etc. I am not sure that moving to the PH if i even want a relationship anymore but if i do its not to get scammed out of my money. I am ready to pay for my gf or wife to be but not her whole family and provide money to them etc. If i leave Canada its not to come back here broke and desperate.
