Hey man! As a bassplayer, I'm not going to roast you - no one has ever won anything from roasting anyone, in my humble opinion. I'm here because I'm on the verge of buying the Line 6 HX Stomp XL, and found your video to find out what I can expect from it. What I want to point out though, is that your 14th fret on the G-string sounds weird - a bit like a fret further up the neck being too high and/or string height a tiny bit too low... A fret leveling and an adjustment would do wonders for this! :) As for your preference for dirty bass sounds, no worries mate - there's room for everyone in this community, as this keeps us all on our toes in regards of sounds, that would fit the songs we play :) I would love to hear your interpretation of Muse - Hysteria, in regards to the sound - not necessarily the playing ;) Lastly, why would you want a P bass? You're quite close to hitting the P bass tone on your jazz bass :) Either way, this is for Anthony's wife only: Anthony needs a P bass AS WELL as the jazz bass - he needs to be able to accommodate the needs of the different bass players and their basses at church, so he must test the basses out on his gear, so he knows how to tweak it for them. All the best from Denmark :)
Hahah thank you so much for encouragement! But yeah, I actually love that album by Muse. Stockholm Syndrome is on of my favorite songs ever! I definitely can’t play that bass part though 🤣 I’ll definitely check out the leveling, it’s been a while since I’ve taken it to my luither for a proper setup. So it may be time again!! And thank you for letting my wife know 💀💀💀💀💀
@@anthonygroves16 Its really no big deal, usually there's just a battery compartment on the back of the body, you just put it in there and your good. they last ages too if you buy a decent battery (could even get a rechargeable) and they don't draw power unless plugged in. Also I'm trying to do some research on the EMG 918, that can power active pickups through the cable. (TRS in this case) That way you wouldn't need a battery in general, just that pedal at the front of your signal chain, and a TRS cable instead on normal instrument cable. (would also be less susceptible to long cable tone suck as its active) Though don't know of anyone using it on bass, but worth looking or trying.
@@anthonygroves16 You could also get an active bass with an active-/passive switch, which I have used for about 10 years. No worries about running out of battery ever again :)

You need an Active bass too. Smoother less spiky sound especially when digging in, and way more versatile.
The battery thing always scared me, because I have no idea what to do with that lol
