      yeah The Tudors was very unaccurate history and clothing wise but I think that Natalie captured Annes spirit and charm perfectly like I imagined it to be and I love that Natalie knew the story of Anne very well( I have watched countless interviews) and she understood Anne perfectly , Natalie also understood that many people see Catherine of Aragon as the religious one of Henrys wives but actually Anne Boleyn was very religious woman as well, she just had different religion but she was very god fearing woman actually, I didnt like how The Tudors depicted herlittle bit like this vixen who is going to stealanother mans wife...the truth is that Anne was very much in love with another man but Henry banished this man from court to have Anne to himself...also her family used her horribly , I would say that Anne was the most important queen of Henry because thanks to her ( largely) we have English church today and she was also a evangelic who fought so that all people can read the bible, may she rest in piece.

      Just and FYI, Catholics do and did read the Bible too. In fact, the Catholic Church translated and compiled the books of the Bible 400+ years before Protestanism was even thought of.

She was a woman ahead of her time and I believe if she was living in this century she would also be famous for whatever she chose to do. I'd give anything to be allowed to live in a garden shed there, or at Hever. Just to be there, where it all happened. My friend from Cornwall says you can smell the history seeping out of the walls of the old castles and palaces and can feel the atmosphere and what it must have been like to be there. After The Tudors were on TV I bought the boxed set and the entire soundtrack, and I decorated my whole house as The Tudor Court.

Henry's personal chapel is also extremely beautiful. You aren't allowed to take pictures but let me tell you it's ceiling is amazing. It's painted blue and gold. Truly magnificent. @@kellydoub9462 The Tudors was not meant to be a documentary but a dramatic soap opera. But much of it was accurate. I'm not so stupid as to follow any TV show as a source of information. I have read every book and seen every documentary about the Tudors and their history. There are many many foreign ambassadors who described the young King Henry as the handsomest potentate they ever set eyes on. He exuded charisma and was very accomplished in many areas. His mistresses truly loved him and regretted being cast aside. Catherine of Aragon loved him deeply till the day she died. So did Anne Boleyn - her fits of jealousy over his mistresses shows that: "It broke my heart to see you loved others" - she actually said that when Henry upbraided her for miscarrying his son - her third miscarriage. I doubt Jane Seymour loved him but nobody turned down the king. Not even Catherine Parr who was in love with Seymour and had wanted to marry him, and did after she was widowed.

    • @lashistoriasdejorge379

      Some selected shots were filmed on location, yes. However, most of the production was shot almost entirely in Harmored Studios, Ireland, a massive studio where other historical projects were shot. That's because London has changed a lot in 500 years, it's a modern city now and much of what existed then is no more (Whitehall and Hatfield for example were rebuilt, burned down or are surronded by modern buildings). Ireland, on the other hand, with its gardens, fields, countryside, manors, churches, rivers and 16th century castles made for the perfect location for the production crew to film. More easily accesible and available there too

    @Koopatroopa01 Not all Americans are of English descent. There are people/families from all over the world. We're know as the "Melting Pot". So many nationalities. Example, my paternal grandmother and grandfather came to America from England as a teenagers. Hence I am American w/ English descent. My husbands parents were born and raised in the Dominican Republic and moved here in the 70s hence they are American with Dominican descent. So no, not all Americans are of English decent.

    i'm confuse about the beasts in 6:52..would Henry actually built a beast just based on Anne Boleyn while claiming they were nevery rightfully married, because he was bewitched?

    • @XX-dz5kc
      @XX-dz5kc 6 лет назад

      Jeanie Lo
      I think those beasts are modern.
      The 'originals' they were inspired by were probably these:
      'Ten statues of heraldic animals, called the King's Beasts, stand on the bridge over the moat leading to the great gatehouse. They represent the ancestry of King Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour. The animals are: the lion of England, the Royal dragon, the Tudor dragon, the black bull of Clarence, the yale of Beaufort, the white lion of Mortimer, the white greyhound of Richmond, the Seymour lion, the Seymour panther and the Seymour unicorn.'
      The reason why Jane's panther in the video has spots may be that Anne's leopard was often chiselled into her successor's panther...

    if Natalie was for real in the 1500s Henry wouldve never let her go ,...the portaits of all other ladies of the day were mostly very unattractive women , A 21st Natalie wouldve been the most beautiful of those days

    I love watching The Tudors, but it’s very loosely based in fact. I don’t understand why anyone would celebrate anything of Henry VIII. He was pure evil, and got worse and worse the longer he lived. He is not famous. He’s infamous!
