loved this..have always appreciated Annes interviews..and Tracy Borman well i could ask her questions allday she is such a lovely lady stuffed with historical knowledge.
This interview was absolutely delightful, and so touching that it brought tears to my eyes. I thought I knew a decent amount about these two women, but to hear so many new details and how their lives remained intertwined was both bittersweet and wonderful. I love how their legacy burns so brightly all this time later.
Dr Borman is my favorite. Ann Diamond is the perfect interviewer. Together they make a great program. Researching Elizabeth's connection to her mother is so valuable. It's an area that is sorely lacking. Thank you, Dr Borman.
If I see Dr. Tracy Borman, I CLICK! Dr. Borman really knows her Tudor history. I appreciate everything she produces. Thank you for this, much too short, interview.
It was so interesting to hear about Anne Boleyn as a three-dimensional person. Usually, Henry's wives are presented at just two-dimensional beings in Henry's story. I'd love to hear more about about Henry's other wives. Thank you.
A marvellous video, thank you both. Really fascinating overview of Elizabeth’s life and reign, and a genuine frisson to learn that Boleyn bloodline continues to the present royalty. Five gold stars for this interview. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hi Anne.Diamond. Such treasure this interview was. Queen Elisabeth l is dear to my heart. For me she was the greatest - Queen of Queens. I'm buying Tracys latest book to myself as a Christmas gift. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 👸🏼🎄👸🏻
Im from the US. I visited Hampton Court and was enthralled! I wish they could have presented some of the bedrooms of the Tudor people? I did not see that in my public tour. Yes the years have gone by and the residents changed. Just a thought!
I'm just seeing this, so very late to the party. I have a question--I'm wondering what these historians' takes are on Josephine Tey's book "The Daughter of Time." I really liked her story of how the Tudors waged a propaganda war against the Plantagenets, specifically Richard III, even employing/ordering Shakespeare to write him as a villain.
Im reading anne boleyn n elizabeth 1 I am engrossed the book is well researched . I'm reading Dr Tracey borman book anne boleyn n elizabeth 1 😊 absolutely recommend anne boleyn n elizabeth 1 . So brilliant n breathtaking the relationship between mother n daughter,
I often wonder why Elizabeth didn't live with Anne of Cleves seeing how Elizabeth was adored by Anne. Did Anne of Cleves even ever visit Elizabeth once she was queen?
This does Anne and Elizabeth both great Justice. Since my finding that both are ancestors of mine thru Anne's sister Mary I feel I'm understanding a great deal of my relatives. To me Anne Bolyne was treated so cruelly and wrong. Henry to me was a womanizer. Though I was born in the states I've always been drawn to the Tudor era
Politics? Maybe safer to publicly forget/ignore the awful horror of the event of Anne’s downfall, the charges against her and the many men who also died as a result. Elizabeth was a woman ruler in a time of vast change in England. In the end, it proved to be a wise political decision.
I think it matters that Henry is in service. His Government applied the pressure to produce a male heir. His ambition to serve that Governance was not the result of delusion. Many kings- like many Popes, did come to a bad end when not compliant to the true power of their times. At least, as i understand it.
I can imagine why Elizabeth was not that interested in her mother. She was so little when she was executed not to mention I cannot imagine queens or any other royalty having that much day-to-day interaction with their children,
In this ring, the small portrait is of a lady with red hair. Anne was very dark-haired. The ring portrait is actually thought to be a painting of Katherine Parr, who had red hair. Apparently, she and Elizabeth were very close. Borman is talking nonsense as usual.
She mentions "annointed" and that requires a coronation. She was the only one who actually had a coronation to be annointed and was executed. I think after her... Henry pretty much gave up on crowning his queens. I think Katherine Howard would have been crowned, but only if she produced another son. There were rumours of it at the time. Queen Jane I (Grey) wasn't crowned... so that leaves Anne Boleyn as the only annointed queen of England to be executed.

The best interview I’ve seen in ages. What a great insight into a historians perspective.

Thank you thank you Tracy, for understanding Elizabeth’s truer self, and for advocating for her the way you do. Thank you.

FASCINATING. I learned new things about Elizabeth and Anne...two of my favorite figures!❤

Anne of Cleves died during the reign of Mary I, who gave her a funeral appropriate for a Queen of England.
Absolute chills when it was said that the falcon was from 1533!

FABULOUS!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Deleting photos and stories is the new "destroying badges in the palace" haha
why didn't Elizabeth re-inter her mother?

I read
Was she crying out for Mary, Queen of Scots? Or her sister Mary?
Antique Tudor dealer gets no recognition of his discovery 😟
So Elizabeth was a Boleyn not a Tudor
I can imagine why Elizabeth was not that interested in her mother. She was so little when she was executed not to mention I cannot imagine queens or any other royalty having that much day-to-day interaction with their children,
WHAT ABOUT HER CHILDREN.....

I’m sure she will never see this but that lady has issue with her voice or breathing, she should take a look at that
It was Kathryn Howard who was the last queen of England to be executed
No it was’nt, it was queen jane grey.
