My take on "broke" in this sense is that now that he has money after the previous song, it still didn't solve the problems in his life. He's not broke in money, but in happiness. Just my thoughts on it really.
Clearly its more of like a "broken" type of broke. The other video he was in an apartment, this video hes in a mansion ironing money with tears streaming down his face. Clearly a totally different message.
