League Format: Both Blitzers get Guard after Dodge. 1 Catcher get MB after Block. Other 2 Catchers gets Dodge then Stat up. These guys get SPP like confetti. MA9 Dodger Catch gets Side Step, Sprint and Sure Feet for those 1-turn attempts (if I get this guy, then he'll probably be benched for those explosive offensive plays as he'll be useless on defence). AG1+ Dodge gets Wrestle, Tackle and Strip Ball ST4 Dodger gets Block, Frenzy and Side Step. That my dream "Power 5"
I like to get back to Your material. I typically watch these a number of times and think about them and challenge or agree on Your points :) Great work!!!! Keep up with it. As for the content. I agree Blitzers are star Players. They can do anything. The first skill - Dodge and then do what You want:) I think they are primary scorers on this team. Catchers to me are "Blitzers", "sackers" or "safeties". Their core stat and skill combination makes them already a formidable scoring threats. However this means that we can explore giving them combat skills as block (never a bad thing) - makes a baseline versatile platform. Wrestle gives sack options, dodge gives more survivability and flexibility. Then tailor them more into ultimate combat monsters. I think that ultimately skills like sprint, sure feet are handy but they are not worth considering because of other options. I don't understand Break Tackle love :) it is ok skill, but on models with Ag 2+ is situational and chews up Secondary slot cost - to me it is not worth it. However I agree with all Your talk about stat increases. It seems that elves in general are good platforms for random stat rolls :)
I've been painting these and they are a nightmare. hands right near their face, legs together so you can't reach the inside of the leg to paint in certain parts, also they prance around are on one foot so you have to pin them and carefully drill through the grassy base then secure.
A: Great analysis B: Background music gave me bad dreams C: Liked the statement "...your stars will be the Blitzers and Catchers and Thrower is the Enabler only." Can you pick that up please, when you do the High Elves?
in relative terms, going from MV 6 to 7 is a 17% boost where as 7 to 8 is only a 14% boost. Personally I think this is one of the few teams where +1 AV is a tempting option. Give your Lineman, block, dodge, guard, and +1 AV. All of a sudden you've got great piece to hold agro with
@@ThanatoselNyx Thats not the answer I was looking for. You're literally saying the same thing as the guy above, without a further explanation. 14 percent out of what?17% out of what? E.g. if someone ask you how much is 1/6 in % you would say it is 16.67%. Or 2/6 is 33.3% Or 4+ roll on a D6 is 50%.
Yo Jeremy! Leader is a great pick, and might be the correct pick sometimes (if you're having to spend that cash replacing dead positionals). But with the faster income in this edition you should (hopefully) be able to afford to purchase rerolls, meaning you can spend those sweet SPPs on being even more Elfy!
Hey Ben, it's a little off topic but I wanted to praise you also for your animated little intros! They look really cool and you clearly put in the effort to make different graphics for each series, etc... I love it! By the way, if it's no secret: what software do you use to bake them? :) Still great work in analysis & consistency in the talks themselves too, of course! Keep it up!
To me the catchers are meant to be blitzers. They don't need skills that help them score (OK dodge is more for survival Imho) and you can immediately start with skills like wrestle, tackle, strip ball perhaps mighty blow so they have something to do on defense. The thrower might be a piece to get random passing skills for I don't really see what passing skill would be bad, and that would keep his value in check a little. What he needs to do he does out of the box though I might be tempted to actively take canonner as a first skill to make the long passes more reliable. Guard is a pretty good skill for the blitzers because with side step they have maximum control where the guard will stand and one they got dodge they will stand after a block more often than not. Edit : also diving tackle to show those clumsy brutes what they get for trying to punch another player than your blodgestep Blitzer
Elven Union Blitzer Good for a characteristic increase because even if you get movement it becomes 8 and you can do it again for 9 movement. Block, Sure Feet (For extra movement), Dauntless A secondary you might take is Mighty blow or guard Elven Union Thrower Does PA 1+ combine with Accurate/Cannoneer? if it does you go for a statistic increase if not I think you choose one of those skills,Block, Dodge, Nerves of Steel On a secondary break tackle/Brawler? Elven Union Catcher On of the best options for characteristic increase for the + movement, block, dodge, Sure feet (For even more movement) on a secondary you get break tackle, (One) Leader Elven Union linemen I think you avoid the charactersitic increase here as 6-7 movement is nice but isn't crazy, str 4 is nice but rare, ag 1+ is nice but not necessary and in some cases you would rather just have skills, PA 4+ becoming 3+ isn't worth it without skills. The primary skills you take are Block/Wrestle, Dodge, (one) Kick, sure Feet, Sprint On a double you get guard
Unless I'm missing something, I'm pretty sure PE catcher has no access to passing. As a side note, do find it funny how they claim on skills-page how all players have a degree of access to all of GAPS

Blitzer: Dodge into str4

Linemen: Dodge into Block (Add a kicker for fun)
I kept thinking the background music was an ice cream truck and was getting annoyed wishing the guy would drive off...

Is it worth it to save up for guard first on the lineman, then dodge? After the first one gets kick of course.

How does one is 17% and the other boost is + 14%?

Drew Brees it!!!!!!!!! Love him as a guy an football player. Also I accidentally skilled my pro elves like this last edition minus the break tackle

You are correct. Neither the Catchers nor the Linemen have Passing access.
Hello everyone. Long time no see.
Poor old linemen. Even though they are unionised their role in the team will be brutal with little chance of being redrafted!
i like to have 2-3 fend linemans, its great for LOS and is so frustrateing for your opponent
That's a great call Miazghul!!
Very very goog players but....die so fast!
