I love watching your yarn unboxings! I like the all cakes! I always wind my yarn into cakes before I use them because I don’t like having to get slack everywhere and them having my dog take the yarn! I love all the variety of colors too!

Hi Christa! Love all of the yarn... love 💕. I just bought the saver color light in the exact same color...thought it was something else. It works up to look like pink camouflage. So decided to do a basket...I added a strand of simply soft in white, strand of red heart saver in gray, and a strand of LB winter nights to make a basket.....it’s beautiful. With hints of bling from the winter nights yarn. Thanks for the unboxing, Angie🥰

I just made a mermaid tail blanket for my grand baby using the baby cakes fine in the the salmon, mint green... Love it! I loved working with it. I only ordered one pack because I wasn't sure how fine it was going to be and didn't know what I was going to use it for at the time. I want to order more there are so many fabulous colors. The long color changes were great.

Thank-you thank-you THANK-YOU!!! This has given me such a good view of what to put and NOT put into my cart! These unboxings and your compare it to other yarns videos are so educational and useful. I really really liked the picasso. I have also used from ICE the cakes cotton fine and they work up so so lovely. But the multi thread cotton kind of throws me off a little, maybe because I am not using it correctly it tens do become uneaven after about 1/3 through the cake...

Wow, they make that shipping count! There needs to be "cake" counter lol! I want cake now. Maybe strawberry shortcake. Baby Softly has the same content as Berroco Comfort (worsted) and it has great stitch definition, soft sheen, and has held up well as two of my sweaters. That looks like it would be a good alternative. What a haul! Good luck with your projects.

OMG! As soon as you hold up the denim i was like "I know what they did there!!!". I really need to order a bunch of that to compare it, but from looks, weight, yardage and yarn components it is the ice yarn version of scheepjes Stone washed.
If it really feels the same that would be the most awesome thing ever, because here you get 3 skeins of scheepjes for the price of a pack from the ice yarn version which has 8 skeins.
The super baby is the same as the magic glitz/magic light? That would be awesome too, i always wanted to have a solid version of the magic light, it is so soft and easy to work with, made a whole bunch of baby blankets with it.

Aha! So that Is why you could not sleep. Its been a while since we saw a huge unboxing like that. I can't say I have a favorite. I love them all. I can't wait to see what you will be making for the Spring. I think I would like to see a rectangular shawl out of some of those cakes. Shawls with those gradual changes are so pretty. Enjoy and thank you for sharing with all of us!!! By the way, I do not order a whole lot of yarn online because I have access to multiple big box craft stores and small knitting stores, but because of you, I have ordered from Ice Yarns twice now. (Bag-O-Day has me ordering from Herrschners, and Penny has me ordering from Lion Brand.....maybe I am big on ordering online now. Smooches!!!!

Just finished a triangular shawl in cakes Alpaca (sold out now, hope it comes back, it is gorgeous). Knitting a dress in coppertone/lavender Rockstar, crocheting a shawl in an alpaca chain yarn, no longer available, just started a shawl in Cakes wool light glitz pink tones (saw that a while ago here), and another one in a glitzy mohair, and another one in off white spiderweb-size mohair (for a summer bride). Yes I have to have an assortment of stuff so I can exchange ! Thanks for presenting us with different yarns. I was wary of ordering Rock Star and now I got a third color on order. Love it.

you never talk about making crochet tops for the summer. I have started and finished 3 most are make from cotton and acrylic blend very soft. and the soft colors of the variegated gray/white/pink, so that is what I would use that yarn for.
