I am only fourteen years old but I already love to clean and organize! I got my mom and my sister hooked on your videos too! We all think you are amazing and by far the best and most genuine youtuber out there! Also, Carter is sooooo adorable!!
Instead of buying a special cleaner for my stainless steel appliances, I use a touch of olive oil and a microfiber cloth. The shine is incredible, and I even got my mom and grandmother into doing it! Love this video...and you all. :)
I work at a hospital and I always put my snack in a paper cup and "drink" it. That way I don't get germs on my food by reaching into a bag repeatedly 😝 nuts, popcorn, trail mix, roasted chickpeas, Etc. are easy for this method.
my life hacks: 1. (Christmas): if you've started using a roll of wrapping paper, take a toilet paper tube, cut it down the middle and use it as a clasp to hold you wrapping paper together 2. (christmas): to avoid your christmas lights getting tangled once you've packed them away, wrap them around a clothes hanger. 3. use leftover wax from candles to make a new candle: melt wax in double boiler, put wick in your candle container, pour wax in. 4. (school): arrange your school books in your bag in the order of your classes (Math; English; Art...ect) 5. if you've run out of lotion or shaving cream/gel, use coconut oil instead
I love ice cube trays, they work for so many things! I usually blend up garlic, to make garlic cubes for dinner (as well as ginger cubes!) Saves so much time!
Biggest life hack game changer for me is that regular microfibre cleaning cloths (even from the dollar store) take off ANY make up . Even waterproof mascara with just warm water.
@@faabihakhan yes! Just dont use any fabric softner and VERY little to none on detergent. Its best to just wash with some vinagar and NEVER wash with other laundry. Only microfiber clothes washed together!
Brittany - I have a 9 month old son, and your videos have helped me SO MUCH this past year. They make me feel like I can still work from home successfully, keep my life organized and enjoy my baby. I just wanted to thank you for that. You're amazing. P.S.- Carter is so adorable, and my baby LOVES when he sees him on the screen! :)
Great ideas! One hack from me: I always divvy up tomato paste into 1 Tablespoons and freeze on baking pan in freezer. Then I take out and keep in the freezer in a ziplock and just pull one out when I need it for a recipe, since I have found that most recipes don't call for an entire can of tomato paste.
We use jars. We buy them in jars we don't transfer them into jars. They also sell them in cans but we prefer the hard because we take the label off and refuse them
For those who live in cold countries or don't have a lot of daylight in the winter, to avoid winter depression, leave your Christmas/holiday/fairy lights up until the end of February ☺️ it just brings a little joy and hygge and will really help ☺️
Omg, YES!!! This is something my family and I have always done. We would even switch out the Christmas ornaments with paper hearts for Valentine’s Day and before we knew it, the joy of Spring would be coming right around the corner! The lights really do help to warm/cozy up your living space. Now that I’m older, I feel like I want to be more deliberate about it. Growing up it just became something we didn’t bc it felt too early to pack all of the magic away. But it seems like the magic of Winter is for sure worth celebrating with keeping lights up! (As beautiful as it is, it’s always been pretty hard for me to stay my happy self 🙃 the lights have been sooo helpful!!!)
Great video! Love the ice cube tray idea, I’m going out to buy some trays now! My life hack is especially for the Mummas out there. When my baby was two weeks old, I had to go to Emergency for abdominal pain. I hadn’t thought to pack anything, not even my breast pump, and when they wanted to admit me I burst into tears. Since then, I’ve always had a “go bag”, an overnight bag for myself and my son packed with changes of clothes, PJs, toiletries etc for an unexpected hospital stay. You never know when your little one or you might need to be in hospital overnight. A few months later we had to go to hospital again for a very high fever and I had my bag ready. It took a lot out of a stressful situation! It stays packed in my house. Hope you like it!
-The Monistat anti-chaffing gel is a great makeup primer (works very similarly to the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer) -If you have to take something important with you in the morning, put your keys on top of it. You can't leave without your keys, so then you won't forget the item!
Life hack- to keep your car smelling fresh and for relaxing during rush hour, I sprinkle a couple of drops is essential oils onto a wooden clothespin (I use the minis) and clip onto my heating/AC vent. ;)
OMG the swiffer wet jet is BRILLIANT. I don’t have any idea how i never thought of that!! Life saver 💛 I have a few tricks up my sleeve for cleaning as well: 1. To see if your counters or other surfaces are actually dirt/crumb free, lower yourself to eye level of that surface. That way you’ll see so much more of what you actually missed! 2. A great way to make your room/home smell like fresh laundry is to apply an unused fabric softener sheet to the back of your fan while your fan is on! It’ll blow the fresh scent all over the room! 3. Another great way to make your home/kitchen smell great is to drop a few drops of essential oils down the drain of your sink, or leave lemon and or orange peels in there. They will last a few days and make your home smell so fresh and all you have to do is just take them out when they are ready! 3. If you have a stubborn pan with grease and grime, pour boiling or hot water into it and let a new fabric sheet soak for a while. The grease and mess will come right out! 4. You can also put a few drops of essential oil in your vacuum (always check your manual first) but I️ do one or two drops and it makes my home smell lovely! 5. I came up with this one when i was in college and on a budget: if you use a wax warmer, keep the little wax disc that forms when the scent “runs out”. Place it in a mason jar. Continue doing this until the jar is full. Then run a thread through the individual disks connecting them, and you’ll have a brand new and colorful homemade candle! 6. If you’re having trouble storing throw blankets or towels, grab a cute little fabric collapsible container (they are at Walmart for around $5) or a cute basket, and fold them into thirds. Then roll them up, and stand them up inside the container. You can fit many in there, and it’ll be a cute and organized way to store them! 7. This helps me with my staticky hair: pierce an unused fabric softener sheet through your hair bristles so it’s pressed against the brush head. Then run the brush through your hair like normal. Frizz, begone! 8. ANOTHER trick with a fabric sheet, place one in your pillowcase. It’ll keep your pillows smelling fresh for days, and help with staticky hair. 9. On certain fabrics, if you get sharpie on your clothing or bedding, mark over it with a dry erase marker, then throw it in the wash. It should come right out!! 10. When you get the little “fabric balls” on your leggings or jeans after washing them a few times, carefully take a razor and razor them off. Like brand spankin’ new!! 11. If you have stinky tennis shoes or any other type of shoes, you can place a green tea bag in them overnight. This will help absorb the odor. Or if you buy some activated charcoal (usually inexpensive), place some in a coffee filter and tie it with string or rubber band, that’ll help suck out the moisture and odor as well! Hope some of these help!! 🤓👍🏼💛
I love having wedges of lemon in my water but if you don’t use the whole lemon within a day it starts to go funky. If you slice it into wedges and then freeze they last for such a long time and no waste plus they keep your water nice and cold. I tend to buy a bag of lemons as it works out cheaper than buying individuals and then slice them up and stick in the freezer and I don’t need to put in any effort of make anything dirty when I want some lemon water :)
Hello. I have 2 life hacks that I do that I've never seen anyone else do. Number 1: to prevent stinky sweaty feet after a lond day's work, just rub gel deodarant all over your feet after you shower. It really works for me. Number 2: I always use Grapeseed Oil to wash my face- with or without makeup and also use it with my moisterizer to help moisterize longer. First, I wet a makeup pad and ring out the excess. I squirt the oil on it and use it to wipe off my mascara. Next, I rub the oil all over my face. Wet a rag with hot water and ring out the excess. I wipe my face. I rinse out the rag and use the opposite side to wipe my face a second time. The steam from the hot water lifts everything away. I let my face air dry then squirt one drop of the oil into my moisterizer and apply it to my face. With this routine, my face never dries out, and I never have any breakouts.
You can also get the top off the swiffer wetjet bottle so you can fill it with your own cleaner to save even more! If you look it up RUclips you should find a few videos. But you basically just boil some water and stick the empty top in the boiling water for like 30 seconds and you should be able to twist off the cap!
Tip: If you want to whiten your nails (sometimes they become yellowish from nail polish or water)- mix baking soda with lemon juice and scrub your nails . Works every time!
I use dental floss to cut cake, mainly a sheet style cake. It cuts very clean and no messy knife to keep wiping off in between cuts. I've done this at many get togethers and parties and people think it's strange at first, but once they see the outcome, they are soooo amazed. Plus, you just dispose of the floss when you're done. Easy-peazy!! 😊🎂
If your cutting board is sliding or moving while cutting food, put a kitchen towel under it. It will prevent it from moving around. Slice up a lemon into the wedges, put them in a ziploc bag in the freezer and take a wedge out any time you want a lemon in your hot tea or any other drink. xoxo
I dropped pizza oil on one if my favorite shirt's, I immediately took it off and put baking soda to absorb the oil, washed and dried it....stain still there! I then tried Dawn dish soap (blue) on the stain, rubbed it in rewashed and dried....voila!! So excited, stain was gone! May not be a hack but it will be my grease/oil stain go to!
Hi several years late but they use dawn when there is an oil spill in oceans and etc, when washing off ducks and other animals, mammals bc dawn cuts oil and grease on everything not just dishes, so dawn is a great go to for oil stains and grease stains..
To make my greens or fresh herbs last longer, I make sure I washed them very well and then let them dry, I wrap them with paper towels and put them in a ziplock bag and they last at least twice as much being fresh and crunchy (I do it with my cilantro, lettuce and spinach)
lighting candle with a spaghetti when your wick becomes too short. my friend had this issue a few days ago and kept burning her fingers with the lighter so i gave her the hack and it worked! :D
To avoid yucky smells in the sink I use baking soda and lemon juice let it fizz up then clean up with a cloth. Whenever I am freezing I put my robe or blanket 13 min on drier and when it comes out is really hot great for winter nights. I like to pick up my outfit at night so the next morning I dont think of what to use. To wash white towels I put some baking soda for extra whitening.
Great hacks! I used to be insecure about my ears when I was younger but I finally accepted them after I realized that they looked bigger to me than to others, so I totally understand how you feel; however, you look so pretty with your hair up and guess what...your ears look bigger to you than they do to me. Start rocking the updo girl! ❤️
My life hack goes along with the very popular "clean the dishes while you cook". Don't stop there! When you finish cooking you will always have a pot or pan or some big dish to wash. My hack is: While you're cooking do as much as you can and then when you finish, squirt a small amount of dish detergent or vinegar add boiling water and simmer this cleaning mixure on the stove qhile you eat. The combination of water and heat gets it all off. When you finish dinner, rinse the dish. This make cleaning stubbourn diahes so much easier. Sometimes while I'm eating, the pan begins to get stickier or more stuck on as time passes. This hack REALLY helps to avoid that and a great hack for night cleaners like yourself!
My favorite hack is adding a little pumpkin spice mix in with my coffee grounds before I brew it! I love pumpkin spice and I think doing it this way gives it a way better flavor then adding flavored creamer!
Like you, I love fresh flowers. What I found keeps them alive very long in the vases is the following mix: Warm water mixed with one teaspoon of sugar, a 1/4 teaspoon of bleach, and one packet of white powder that comes with each bouquet of flowers. They last a very long time this way! Happy holidays to you and your lovely family!
You can use old baby burp cloths and cut it down to size to fit the Swiffer and then u can just take it off and re wash it. Then it's not so large and it is still good for the environment.
When I have a bad migraine, I take a leaf of cabbage and place it on my head (forehead area) and I usually keep it in place with a bandana or hat. It helps relieve the pain! My parents have been doing it for years and we swear by it!
One more hack for the floors! I went to Marshalls, bought a 3 pack of white microfiber dish towels for like $4/5, folded it 3times and sewed it. The pad that comes with the Bona cleaner is also microfiber. I just used it last night on my floor, so I ring it out with warm warm, just dry damp and it sticks on perfectly! :)
Hun your ears are gorgeous they way they are! They are different, which is AWESOME. Everybody is different, that's what makes you, you... and there is nothing wrong with your uniqueness. Wear your hair up with your ears out, be proud! Life is too short to be anything but proud of your quirks!
For girls out there who have really bad cramps when on there period....heat up a tortilla in the microwave for about 15 seconds and place it on your lower stomach. It works wonders! 🤗
That is so funny. I love it! I use toe warmers called "Toasty toes". They are cheaper than most menstrual heating pads and they have adhesive on them so you can stick them to the outside of your underwear. They last most of the day. I also use a TENS unit for really nasty pain. I put one on my back for back menstrual pain, and one on my front. Buy the little ones without leads. If you need a TENS all day long than the iTENS can be reset from your iPhone, and you don't have to put your hand down your pants to hit the start button again.
I love how funny Ryan is! .. great ideas! I use a cheetos plastic tub, and I think there is one that has pretzels In it, ..for my yarn as I crochet. I drill a hole in the lid or if plastic put a hole in lid in the center. Put roll of yarn in bottle, draw yarn through the lid hole, and put lid on. Now yarn will turn and unroll and stay clean as I crochet. They are also great for small toys etc, to store or in the car.♡♡♡
love this! i'm definitely going to make the makeup remover pads. I pour coffee into ice cube trays and then use it in my coffee in the morning to make it iced without watering it down. Same thing with tea.
When you use a can of tomato paste, instead of spooning it out, open both ends and use one end to push the paste through. Gets every bit of it so less waste.
Omg I need to try those ice cube tray ideas!! And a life hack I use to hang up a bunch of shirts really quick is: lay the shirts on top each other all in the same direction, then slide the hanger into the neck opening, fold that shirt forward with the hanger still in it, then do the next shirt and so on!
Make sure if you are putting flowers in the fridge that there are no fruits or vegetables that give off ethylene. Apples are a big one that does, (Many other fruits and vegetables do as well) and ethylene can cause flowers to die faster.
Thank you. The waxed one is the best. When you put clothes in the dryer, the wax melts a little, giving a better hold. I wish that floss would come in different colors. :)
Also, the best stainless steel cleaner I found is "Orange Glo" Its made for cleaning wood, but ohhh so amazing for stainless steel. Many of my friends and family now use it for theirs. I love all your life hacks, cleaning, organizing, diy's, baby Carter and Ryan. You have a beautiful family, but you all seem so down-to-earth which is why I'm obsessed with watching all your videos. 😅💗
1) Stubborn STAINED SHOWER? Use toilet bowl cleaner. Rub on. Let sit for 15 min. Then scrub. Also good for white shoe souls/edging 2) put Command hooks on the inside of the cabinet door for necklaces. Easy to see. Easy to put away. 3) put leftover tomato paste in ziplock, flatten and freeze. Break off what U need for next Recipe.
Hey, Brittany! I don't have any original hacks, but I wanted to share a hack that I use to unopen a stubborn water/soda bottle. A Playtex rubber glove! The bumps on the dishwashing gloves serve as traction to get the cap off your water bottle.
Never tire of looking at your videos! HEY, VALENTINE'S DAY 2019 comin' up soon. Congrats for still doing FINE VIDEOS fo all these years... now with your million subscribers! WOW! SMILES to you, too!
I used to be the messiest and unorganized person ever. But thanks to you I am supper organized and supper clean. Please do more cleaning videos. Have a great day
My life hack is if you need to clean built up food inside of your microwave put a bowl of half water and half lemon juice and microwave it for 3 minuets, the moisture helps release any nasty buildup, and it wipes away with ease 😊
Life hack: If your gloves are wet from the rain or snow, the best way I've found to quickly dry the inside is to slide an empty toilet paper tube into the glove and then stand it up on top of a floor register. The paper towel tube will hold the glove upright and help air circulate through the fingers more efficiently. As always, great video Brittany!
Another life hack is saving money on toner and going all natural I like to add some rose water into a spray bottle and just sprits it over my face and neck after I wash my face it much cheaper and lasts way longer and also has many benefits for your skin xxx
I love the olive oil and herb in the ice cube tray! I wanna try that! I also love the swiffer wet jet with the towel! That’s a great idea! A life hack I have is when making scrambled eggs, if you like them fluffy and moist don’t add milk like a lot of people think, crack your eggs in a cup or bowl, beat them with a fork or whisk, then add water, cook them, and VOILA fluffy scrambled eggs!
I use the little tiny hair rubber bands around any products I have a tough time opening (particularly facial oils) I have a mini Sunday riley ufo that I can never open. ...popped a tiny hair elastic on now every night it opens right up!
Take lid off glass coconut oil jar. Put coconut oil jar in the microwave for 1 minute. Coconut oil is now liquid and easy to measure for recipes. Put lid back on jar and the coconut oil will solidify again. Best channel!! Great work - keep going - you & your family are appreciated.
One thing I have been doing is whenever I paint my nails, I always do it at night, right before bed ( sometimes I do it in my bed lol). It may sound simple, but whenever I would do them during the day, they would always always chip or dent. Doing them at night allows them to really dry fully and then in the morning I wake up to a beautiful manicure 💅 Of course a good fast drying top coat is a must! I’ve been loving Essie Good-to-go top coat, works great 😃
Couple of "hacks" I use: 1. I shave my legs with hair conditioner. It's cheaper than shaving cream and my skin feels nice and hydrated afterwards. 2. I don't know if this is a hack, but my white sink had been stained forever, my stove had stubborn stuff stuck on it, and my stainless steel pans had burn marks all over them. The only product that has worked on these is "Bar Tenders Friend." I had never heard of it and now I can't imagine not having it. It's a miracle worker!
My favorite go to hack that has never failed: Have a bunch of kids, I had 4, when they're old enough, start teaching them how to clean, and once they are tweens or teens (you decide), make them do all the work around the house. This hack worked wonders for me. And even now that they're adults, whenever they come over, they still help me clean. :) What did I tell you..... BEST HACK EVER!
If your favorite foundation dries your skin out or it's too matte. Take a clean container, add half your foundation to 5-6 pumps of moisturizer and mix the 2 together. Gives your skin a beautiful dewy glow!
Thanks for sharing these! When I have a pan with severely burned on food (I forget about my cooking frequently!) I soak it over night with hot water and a fabric softener sheet. The next day it comes perfectly clean. Works every time!
One of my favorite life hacks is to have a super organized battery system. You can find cool battery organizers online or at the Container Store. Or just a bin with a lid and ziploc bags with labels for each size battery, to keep separated. Also, have a separate labeled baggie or I have a mini trash can that I found at the Dollar Tree, labeled “Batteries to be Recycled” and then learn where you can recycle your old batteries properly. Good battery organization has made my life way easier. And hello, Christmas gifts that require 8 AA’s is almost here!! 😉👍🏻
I stuck small command hooks upside down on either side of our trash can, then hook the strings of the trash bags to the command hooks to keep the bag from falling in! This hack has seriously changed my life!! LOL
Please do a video On carter. I’m interested on how you teach him so well and what you prep his daily meals. My daughter is one on the 13th and I’m usually at work so the time I do get to spend with her is so little. Her babysitter only speaks Spanish. But I wonder what I can do to help her learning activity. Love your videos and family as always ❤️
My mom always used old t-shirts in place of swifter pads. Works really well! I also learned from her to line the bottom of your oven with tinfoil for easy clean up if anything ever spills over
I write the word "dirty" on the inside of my dishwasher door with a dry erase marker... it washes off when you run the dishwasher. My family knows if they open the door and they don't see the word "dirty", then everything is clean! (I'm not crazy about the look of one of those suction things on the outside of the door that you mark clean or dirty). The inside of my dishwasher is stainless, not sure if this would work on plastic type.
I have Star Wars dirty/clean .... clean the dishes are (clean) or (dirty) they have joined the dark side - makes me laugh every time I see it!! But yours is a brilliant hack!
Water all of your holiday plants/or houseplants in general using ice cubes to avoid splashing water all over the place! I do this all the time with my poinsettias and it also keeps their from being water leaking out from the bottom of the plants onto your table or wherever they're sitting.
Butterfly Queen oh yes that's what I meant I use vinegar on paper towels pushed under the top rim! It used to be all red colored the vinegar is amazing, you're right!
I agree. Vinegar works all sorts of wonders. I actually use cleaning vinegar. I bought a huge bottle of it at Dollar General for $1.50, and it does the job. The smell is a little strong, but essential oils can help with that.
This green blouse is amazing! I love it. I also like that these ideas are indeed somewhat practical. I have seen the icetray trick a lot and I think I will one day buy one tray just for that. One day.. :)
One of my life hacks: Instead of chopping herbs with a knife, put them in a small coffee cup and use your kitchen shears to cut them up. It’s fast and easy!
Hi Brittany! Thank you so much for this video, super great ideas! I love the lemon juice ice cubes, the vacuum cleaner hack and the herb hack. So useful! So my hack for eyemakeup remover is, I use an old bottle of eye make remover, and pour it 3/4 of it with water and the remainder 1/4 of it with organic olive oil. Then when I go to use it, I just shake it up and put on cotton pads, just like you have to shake up the Neutrogena one. It’s not really oily either but works great.
I don't know if this has been said before, but for my stainless steel appliance I use a tiny bit of baby oil to keep the clean, s patterns work wonders. For getting Christmas decorations to stay on the wire I use hairspray to get the knot to stay and not come undone. Wrapping Christmas presents but don't want people looking under the tree and trying to guess. If you have 3 people in your house only use 3 types of wrapping paper design, using the same one for each person don't put tags on them. Don't let anyone know who is which design! As I said not sure if these have been done before. Will have to use the candle idea, thanks.
When baking, if I need to grease the pan, I set aside the butter wrappers and use those to grease it with. The small amount of butter left on them makes for a nice even coating!
After cleaning the fridge, i cut up cling wrap to the approx. shape of my fridge shelves.. cleaning up is a breeze! Recently i also stopped using Teflon pans as they are horrible for our health.. instead i use cast iron pans.. i overcome food such as pancakes from sticking by rubbing an onion dipped in oil all over the pan and it's ready to go.
I've never been a tea drinker.. But I started watching you (and your teas lol) and all of a sudden I haven't stopped craving it. The crazy part, today I bought black tea just to try it out (never had it) and
if you have worn rubber kitchen gloves don’t throw it but cut it to thin rubber band and use it to organize the cables or for kitchen organization😊 I loved your videos/ hacks Thanks for sharing
I warm up my old eye liner pencils with my hair dryer especially when I'm using the white one to line my inner rim, makes it glide on with better pigmentation.
Brittany, try Bona mop for your wood floors it’s a total game changer! It has microfiber cloths a bigger head and the cleaner is much better!!! They have ones for tile and other floors too you just switch out the cleaner
My husband owns a glass company with his Dad.. to get that crystal clear clean on glass, after cleaning it, use a dry paper towel to "dry wipe" it. Works Everytime!
Love these! My favorite one you shared is the panty-hose-over-the-vacuum hack. Such a good idea! Some of my life hacks: Stubborn sticker residue - use a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol (91% or higher) Stainless steel pots and pans have stubborn residue on them - use Bar Keeper's Friend Use magic eraser to clean rubber soles of sneakers For oily hair: Use dry shampoo on freshly styled hair. It helps keep the style, adds texture, and extends the length between washes. Freeze your flour. It lasts so much longer. Small kitchen? Hang your mugs on the wall with a decorative mount (buy one or make your own). Save space and decorate :) Don't have a lint roller? Use packing tape Don't have a flat head screwdriver? Use a butter-knife or dime Trying to get the last drop out of a product? If applicable, cut the bottle open instead of trying to squeeze it out. MIND. BLOWN. Running low on time but need to shave? Use lotion (apply thin layer) and shave. For iPhone users: the apple symbol on the back of the phone is a mirror. Use it (if it isn't covered up by a case) to get an eyelash out of your eye, check if you have food in your teeth, etc. Pants feeling a little too tight? Use a ponytail holder to loop through the hole and secure to the button. Need a unique spice for a specific recipe? Check if your local grocery store has a bulk section on spices and buy only what you need. Leftover mascara under your eye? Use a q tip and lotion to remove In the most desperate of times, scented lotion can be a temporary deodorant.
I use my microfiber towelettes from the Dollar tree and soak them with vinegar and water before I stick it to my Swiffer. Cleans the whole kitchen with one. Then I just throw it in the laundry to be washed.
If you have a pair of tights or panty hose that are staring to get rips or runs, you can spray hairspray on the rip to prevent it from getting worse. Love your channel so much, I've been subscribed to you for quite some time now and you seem like such an amazing and genuine person, also Carter is sooooo adorable!!
Whaaaat? You are like the only youtuber that I actually go to for advice on how to do things. Your tips and hacks are always legit!
my life hacks:
1. (Christmas): if you've started using a roll of wrapping paper, take a toilet paper tube, cut it down the middle and use it as a clasp to hold you wrapping paper together
2. (christmas): to avoid your christmas lights getting tangled once you've packed them away, wrap them around a clothes hanger.
3. use leftover wax from candles to make a new candle: melt wax in double boiler, put wick in your candle container, pour wax in.
4. (school): arrange your school books in your bag in the order of your classes (Math; English; Art...ect)
5. if you've run out of lotion or shaving cream/gel, use coconut oil instead
That is so clever!!!
When I run out of shaving cream I just use some of my cheap conditioner :)
thanks!
I guess that works aswell
The first hack is genius
I love ice cube trays, they work for so many things!
I usually blend up garlic, to make garlic cubes for dinner (as well as ginger cubes!)
Saves so much time!
Biggest life hack game changer for me is that regular microfibre cleaning cloths (even from the dollar store) take off ANY make up . Even waterproof mascara with just warm water.
Can you wash and reuse it?
@@faabihakhan yes
Hey thank you, that's an interesting one!!
Jennifer Younkin works great!
We use jars. We buy them in jars we don't transfer them into jars. They also sell them in cans but we prefer the hard because we take the label off and refuse them
Yes! My step-mother did this back in the 1970's. It's a great trick.
Me, too!
UGH I LOVE your channel. Not only am I obsessed with Carter, but you're not annoying and you actually have GOOD content. KEEP IT UP!
If you have any facial creams or body lotions that have expired, you can use them to "moisturize" your leather bag or shoes
That’s awesome
For those who live in cold countries or don't have a lot of daylight in the winter, to avoid winter depression, leave your Christmas/holiday/fairy lights up until the end of February ☺️ it just brings a little joy and hygge and will really help ☺️
Yes! ❤
I need animal proof fairy lights
Simple yet effective
No way! Your ears are so cute! Don‘t tape them, you are gorgeous and don‘t need to feel insecure!💙
Julia A. Yes i thought the same thing! I love her ears 💕
-The Monistat anti-chaffing gel is a great makeup primer (works very similarly to the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer)
-If you have to take something important with you in the morning, put your keys on top of it. You can't leave without your keys, so then you won't forget the item!
Also, use activated charcoal to whiten your teeth. Works like a charm!
I have heard that the monistat gel can dry your face out though, so I'd use it sparingly
I love it when Ryan is in your videos. He’s so funny!
Life saver 💛
I have a few tricks up my sleeve for cleaning as well:

Good advice!
I love this idea!
Love this!
Shannon Corson I use floss for cutting cinnamon rolls! It works so well!
i love having the crumbs on the knife because then instead of cleaning it off on a rag i just lick it off! haha
I was Amazed when I first Tried this! I just Have to remember not to use the minty type!
Shannon Corson I use floss to cut homemade pastry dough like when I'm making cinnamon rolls
I must remember this
If your cutting board is sliding or moving while cutting food, put a kitchen towel under it.
This definitely works for grease stains because of the fact that Dawn (or whichever dish soap) is usually meant for cutting out grease! Great hack!
WhatKaty does pickle juice cleans your kitchen sink really well and shines up brass.
If you add vitamin E oil to your coconut oil pads they will last longer and its great for ur skin!👍🏻
if you like to take baths, you can put your bottle of lotion in the bathwater and the lotion will be warm when you put it on!
That's actually a pretty good hack. LoL. Ty
Yes! I love flavored popcorn and I do eat it with a spoon! I don't care if it's weird, it keeps my hand clean! I'm glad Ryan does the same thing haha
Use white wine to get out red wine stains! We had to do this on my cousins wedding dress and it worked perfect!!!
okay, that nylon over the vacuum trick is genius! thank you!!!
Omg, you look so much better with your hair up. Your ears are stinking adorable in every single way.
My favorite hack is adding a little pumpkin spice mix in with my coffee grounds before I brew it! I love pumpkin spice and I think doing it this way gives it a way better flavor then adding flavored creamer!
I really love your lemon water hack using an ice cube tray. I always cut a slice of lemon each day. But I'm going to use your method from now on.
I don't even know how you live with Ryan and not die laughing every day! You two are so funny!!!!
Like you, I love fresh flowers. What I found keeps them alive very long in the vases is the following mix:
Warm water mixed with one teaspoon of sugar, a 1/4 teaspoon of bleach, and one packet of white powder that comes with each bouquet of flowers.
I’m definitely going to try this!!!!
Shadey Chavez remove soy from diet, it eliminated my cramps
I'm just gonna eat it lmao
😲😲😲 for cramps and a snack later!
They are also great for small toys etc, to store or in the car.♡♡♡
love the ice cube hack!! And my nephew said you look like a Disney Princess!! (I agree) :)
She looks like a barbie I had when I was little.
Aww, so sweet.
Best compliment in the world!!!!
love this! i'm definitely going to make the makeup remover pads.
I pour coffee into ice cube trays and then use it in my coffee in the morning to make it iced without watering it down. Same thing with tea.
When you use a can of tomato paste, instead of spooning it out, open both ends and use one end to push the paste through. Gets every bit of it so less waste.
Cindy Sams Genius! ty😍
Ingenious!!!! I feel like my life has been wasted until now.....
thank you for the tip!!
and then cut it like up like cranberry sauce and freeze it
Tip: If you're out of detergent for the dishwasher, use half a cup of baking soda instead, it will do the job
My life hack...or one of many...lol...is using Dollar Store showercaps to cover those bowls that have no lids😀.
Just now seeing this and holy shit that's the greatest hack I've ever heard!
I started doing that a while back👍
Omg
Absolutely original 👌🏻
I use them to cover the soles of my shoes when packing a suitcase.
I use dentile floss to sew buttons on. They stay on. You can use waxed or untaxed floss. :)
Rhonda Zumbaum 👌😂this one really blew my mind thank you so much! I will try this next time I run out and Im scrambling to find thread
Thank you. The waxed one is the best. When you put clothes in the dryer, the wax melts a little, giving a better hold. I wish that floss would come in different colors. :)
Rhonda Zumbaum... just burn colored candles, dip floss in melted wax, and hang to dry with binder clips... wallah!!!
Shannon Corson really!!!!!!! I have try this!
Shannon Corson wow thanks i must try this
Love the wine glass in the chip now and the panty hose on the vacuum hose!
1) Stubborn STAINED SHOWER? Use toilet bowl cleaner. Rub on. Let sit for 15 min. Then scrub. Also good for white shoe souls/edging
2) put Command hooks on the inside of the cabinet door for necklaces.
I use Ferrero rocher(the hazelnut chocolate balls) plastic containers to store my make up or to store bags of baking powder, vanilla sugar etc..
Have a great day
Karina Jones -Ha - funny my 2 but She just inspire me so much that I am trying to get organized.
I agree. I was up late watching her videos last night.
Love the chip and dip in a wine glass idea - just in time for the holidays!
Great work - keep going - you & your family are appreciated.
i always eat popcorn with my tongue like a gecko... not very elegant but hey, at least my hands stay clean haha
Good idea 😂🤔
AND you can still have a gentleman's handshake :D
I do, toooo!
Debra Kelly I just looked at the reviews via Amazon for "Bar Keepers Friend". It looks amazing so I placed it on my wishlist. Thanks!
Bunny Most grocery stores carry it. Super cheap☺
Debra Kelly I use it on my after market wheel rims! Love it!
Debra Kelly I loooove Bar Keeper's Friend!
Ria Robinson Yes! 🤣
Great tips. My hack is to put cooling racks in a sheet pan. All the crumbs fall in the pan for easy clean up.
If you're starting to get spots, bumps or whiteheads on your face, put a drop of tea tree oil on it, it will dry it out and disinfect as well
Britney, I seriously love you. You and Ryan are goals ♡
That’s a really great idea with the stocking on the vacuum. I luv when u do life hack vids❣️❣️❣️
Melanie Deangelo that has MY vote for the most brilliant hack I've heard !!!!
I have a magnet on mine that you flip from clean to dirty!
I have Star Wars dirty/clean .... clean the dishes are (clean) or (dirty) they have joined the dark side - makes me laugh every time I see it!! But yours is a brilliant hack!
Great idea
Water all of your holiday plants/or houseplants in general using ice cubes to avoid splashing water all over the place! I do this all the time with my poinsettias and it also keeps their from being water leaking out from the bottom of the plants onto your table or wherever they're sitting.
Instead of coca cola use just plain vinegar. Does the same job and much cheaper and less yucky.
You can put it on paper towels, line the rim and remove in about two hours! Superb!
Jlina A this works , the coke stained my bowl
Butterfly Queen oh yes that's what I meant I use vinegar on paper towels pushed under the top rim! It used to be all red colored the vinegar is amazing, you're right!
I do that too, and scrub the rest of the limestone by hand.
The crazy part, today I bought black tea just to try it out (never had it) and
if you have worn rubber kitchen gloves don’t throw it but cut it to thin rubber band and use it to organize the cables or for kitchen organization😊
I loved your videos/ hacks
Thanks for sharing
Mayyada Alsabea Also, it’s a good idea to keep a pair of worn out rubber gloves handy to open jar lids 😉
Shari Puddicombe new idea, thank
Just found your channel last night and gotta say, I really enjoy your channel. Thank you for making informative and just great to watch videos. 😊
Some of my life hacks:
Stubborn sticker residue - use a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol (91% or higher)
Stainless steel pots and pans have stubborn residue on them - use Bar Keeper's Friend
Use magic eraser to clean rubber soles of sneakers
For oily hair: Use dry shampoo on freshly styled hair. It helps keep the style, adds texture, and extends the length between washes.
Freeze your flour. It lasts so much longer.
Small kitchen? Hang your mugs on the wall with a decorative mount (buy one or make your own). Save space and decorate :)
Don't have a lint roller? Use packing tape
Don't have a flat head screwdriver? Use a butter-knife or dime
Trying to get the last drop out of a product?
Use a q tip and lotion to remove
In the most desperate of times, scented lotion can be a temporary deodorant.
India Harris clear nail polish
