    The intro!!! 👏👏👏 Also definitely in Camp Many Planners For Compartmentalizing Life, so I felt very seen by this video.

    As much as i love planners and i love using many planners, i realised this year that the more planners i have in uso the more stressed and less productive i am. So i just quit most planners and have one structured one with dates etc, and a companion notebook for daily notes, to dos etc i really admire people who can keep up with that many.

    Your video got recommended to me by RUclips. I like how your video started out with the stop motion overview of the journals, and your voice and talking pace are just right to make me want to continue watching. What you said about the journals resonates with me and I decided to subscribe. Hope to see more fun videos soon!

    It's great to see someone masculine who isn't shying away from like a lot of the I guess "stereotypes" when it comes to like planning and all that. Like, obviously the bar is very low, but it's neat seeing stickers and colour in these planners rather than just things being ... basic? I don't know, there's nothing bad about having no colours in a journal/planner. Will def check out more videos of yours!

    • @ThatJournalingGuy
      @ThatJournalingGuy  8 месяцев назад +2

      haha i totally get it. I thought it wasd rare too. A lot of the guys i see who journal usually have very minimal and "masculine" designs in their journals. But the stickers, the drawings, the colors are some of my favorite parts of journaling!. I appreciate the comment and hope you found other videos you enjoyed!

    16:27 I suggest maybe ruling up the bujo to the Hobo weeks layout so you can practice the practice of filling up each day with your lines/book notes before buying the weeks! (They release april editions if you need more time!) That way you can fill up the current one :)
    As a fellow person who compartmentalises - this video of multiple notebooks is soooo validating!

    New subscriber here, I love the intro. Yes, I'm in the same camp as you. My core system, which only last 1 year is 3 books. However, the remaining part of my system consists of 11 notebooks which will last over a few years.

    I'm a big fan of a purpose specific notebook / journal. I use a basic Moleskine Cashiers notebook for my coding client work and if they ask for my notes I can drop it in the mail without losing anything of personal value. (purchased a bulk shrink wrap of 5 or 6 at Costco a few years back cheap at effectively $4-5 each)

    Previously I only used one journal, but in 2023 I used 3. Loved the separation of things. A journal for a specific purpose, it works well for me.
    So glad you are sharing how you are using your journals

      thank you for watching! Seperating things in this way has always been better for me, im not sure why. Seems more focused to me and helps me dedicate time to specific tasks too! How many journals are you using in 2024?

    • @valerietheron146

      I am using a preprinted planner for monthly lettering challenges. My second is a square dotted journal for my bullet journal. Thirdly my faith journal is a travellers sized journal, I only started a new one in October so I will be continuing it. Then lastly my travellers journal, has an insert for my currently inked & ink swatches for my fountain pens, an insert for my lists, for example movies/series, ideas, packages, that type of thing. My third insert is for pen/washi tape swatches. The fourth insert is for my sticker club monthly subscription box, where I make notes of the colours & fonts and things I used, so not to use them again too soon.
      I also have a few creative journals, don’t think I am starting a new one for 2024, since I still have some pages in all 3 journals I am currently using. Plus a few mini tn journals I add to the creative journal pile

    Haha. No judgment for the coffee shop vibes. I TOO want that life…I love creating coursework for students, grading assignments and planning for the next semester while in a social environment and drinking my coffee-but what will I do with this man and these kidz though🤔🥴😂
    I am currently using a Laurel Denise horizontally full size with project planner inserts. I have a separate wellness journal I started with a notebook I found at Target. I think after watching your VERY AMAZINGGG hobinichi video I may consider using the techno hon, I think this is the one with the month and dailies only, as a wellness journal in 2025.

    😂 "reorganizing our lines" I had to repurpose two separate fitness hobo weeks last year. I really wanted to have my life together in that area, but I realized that I jus don't need that negativity in my life 🥲 I ended up turning them into ink swatch journals, I can't toss that TRP! I've been a lurking on your channel for like 2 years back when you would do the A&O sub boxes (I'm proudly one of your 13%) and can't imagine you not bullet journaling! I get it tho, I feel like when I got into TRC and then the glorious Hobonichi, I couldn't bother drawing anymore lines and trackers in my personal bullet journals. This year I'm lying to myself and plan on doing one book for 2024, but I hear my TNS calling me. I look forward to seeing your Korean progress. I want to learn it so bad, even if it's just to understand my k-dramas ☺

    • @ThatJournalingGuy
      @ThatJournalingGuy  9 месяцев назад

      HAHA it definitely feels like negativity in my life sometimes XD. Ive repurposed like 5 Health and Fitness TN inserts and like two Hobo weeks trying to get this settled. Hopefully this is the year. *lying to myself for another year* But that's huge, thank you so much for following along for all that time haha. It really means a ton to me. (13% Squad for Lyfe)
      Honestly, I cant really imagine not bullet journaling either. I feel like its been such a huge part of my ACTUAL identity as much as my internet one. A little afraid to let go. I also simply. can. not. be. bothered. to. make. lines lol. We'll see what happens. Maybe this is just a low point in my bujo journey.
      Again thank you so much for following along for this long! Hopefully I can help translate those K-dramas one day.

    Absolutely inspired by this video so much that I downloaded Duolingo to restart learning Chinese. I also purchased an A6 Hon for my language study. I already use a Hobonichi weeks for personal planing and a Cousin for work but could not justify a Hon until now. For urban sketching, I use a Moleskine Sketchbook. Keep the videos coming.

    Loved this video! I was especially enamored with the intro and all the spinning notebooks 😅😍So don't judge me, I'm in my Sterling Ink era. They're all going to be Sterling Ink, so I won't list the brand for each one..... B6 full year caramel planner is my daily driver/catch all planner, a B6 black compact notebook is my "messy notebook," aka random notes/ideas/thoughts/instructions from doctor/short term things that I need to remember/things to research/etc. Basically anything that needs to be written down ASAP, but doesn't have or need a long-term spot in one of my other planners/notebooks. Next, I have a passport forest green planner for a line a day/short memory, and if I want to expand, i can either use the notes pages in the back, or journal in my B6 catch-all. Next, I'll have an A5 caramel compact planner for my reading journal. Like you, I'm very excited to start my reading journal and think it will motivate me to read more. Next, I have the quartz "Weeks" compact planner as my social media planner. I just started a RUclips channel and need a space to get organized. I was originally trying to fit it into another planner, but it needed it's own space. And lastly, I have the Mist Weeks compact planner as my writing planner. I'm an aspiring author, and again, my writing life needed it's own space. Phew, I think that's everything. Oh! I have a Black compact Traveler's size notebook as a backup, because you, know, you never know when you need another notebook! Now that's everything. Sorry for writing a manifesto, but you literally asked for it 😝

    I began my planning systems with Bullet Journaling and I moved on to planners including the Hobonichi weeks. I just love the Weeks layout so much but I find that 1) it is not enough space for me which is really a shame and 2) I feel like I don't have the attention span to use 1 book and 1 type of layout the whole year so I am thinking of moving into a Stalogy as my planner and using 3-4 Stalogy1/2Year books each year so I can vary the layouts and have extra space.

    yeah I watched The Boy and The Heron recently as well and couldn't really follow through the storyline whatsoever. I'm a big fan of abstract stories but it was too hard to really understand what was going on in the movie, and it's funny how people would rate it 10/10 or call it okay and no in between. After reading other people's reviews of the story though I began to get what the movie was about but I still have mixed feelings about the movie.

    • @ThatJournalingGuy
      @ThatJournalingGuy  8 месяцев назад

      Same. It took a bit of research and a second watch through to really understand the depth of the story and all of the hidden meanings and goodies. Still wouldnt call it a 10/10 but a bit more enjoyable when you understand what's trying to be portrayed. Rough first watch for me though haha.
