- So I decided to do some Friday Uber Eats in Montreal and a Friday Skip the Dishes in Montreal for food deliveries because what would be better for a gig worker in this gig economy to do than do some food deliveries on a Friday dinner rush right? WRONG.

From what I understand a hidden tip is like what Doordash likes to do! Give you on amount and say “amount maybe higher “. Than right after delivery you see it change to a new number.
Exactly in my case it says that it's "expected amount" instead of "amount maybe higher" so I think that means its adjusted later

All the DQ’s where I came from in the south were full food service. Where I live now they are more ice cream places.

Ice cream orders can be surprisingly good, I've had several $15+ tips from those.

That's exactly what I said to my brother when he contested me not taking the $3 for 1. something KM. He said it was easy and I agreed it is, but I rather make $6 + per km and I was waiting for it.

Haha I have very specific terms and conditions for a $3 order. It would have to be for 1km or less and it would have to be during the slow hours , not rush hour lol
After extensive checking. Customers 99% of the time do not change there tip unless they remove it. Uber hides tips above 8.00.

That's a good question. I've never tried but I would assume if you are on the side of the border that you live in its alright

The uber double stacked order are only worth picking up if its from the same resto. Otherwise, your time is not going to be compensated properly for driving to two pick up locations
I agree on this and the crappy part was they didn't show me that it was 2 different ones in the accept screen, they showed Pizza Pizza. I found out later. They hide that from us and it's not right.

Hello Ash , do you think is it worth it to deliver alcohol with uber eats? I did not activate the option yet in my uber eat account as i feel it will be a headache ( like i feel it will be wast of time ) , what do you think ?
Hey! So I've done an alcohol drop off and because the client was doing a percentage tip I made $7 tip just because of that so yeah I'd say it's worth it but scanning the ID is annoying and if the client doesn't come out to claim their food and drinks properly it's a hassle because you have to return it to the store but overall , if they order alcohol , they want it

i just signed up with uber and went online and all the orders they sent me were bs like one for 17km for like 8 dollars is uber actually that bad? or am i just unlucky. Also the volume of orders i was getting was insane compared to door dash and skip i was getting orders every 10-20 secounds is that normal?
With the summer slow down it's become more normal for now. I don't typically get horrible offers like that but every now and then Uber will throw a horrible offer like that now and then

How far would you deliver for a $300 tip?
Truth be told, if it's distance, I likely wouldn't do the order lol. Some might say that's crazy but I rather do a order with 100 items in it than drive far. IF I had to pick a cut off in km it's going to be 125, because I have to travel that back and I have to have it worth wild. Great question though

$12 UE offer I would have declined also, $7 minimum, $14 for a double on UE. I prefer $$10.50/$20 double on UE, those are possible hidden tip indicators. Zach is right on hidden tips, they hide tips over $8, at least here in the US. There were times however when customers did add to the tip afterward. I'll take the extra money either way. I don't move the car for bad offers, I'll take the loss over accepting 🗑.
You'll have to join us on discord sometime, Friday night Zach, several others and myself were in there for a couple hours.
Haha it's a old phone so it's not my current one at least. I'm okay with the $12 but I didn't want to in that moment lol I am on Zach's discord but I barely use discord , I have intentions on doing so but life has been busy haha
So disappointing and a waste of time declining these orders... I have a 99% acceptance rate cause of the fixed rates WAY better system.
Well maybe they will give that here but until then , a possible 10% acceptance rate is how I'm going lol
