Glad you got your wallet back. Always stressful to lose!!! Glad someone did the right thing. I've returned 4 wallets in the last year or so, people look so shocked when they receive them and they're 100% intact! Let's make the world better one good deed at a time.... and 2 fish on 1 lure at a time!
I know a lot of commenters say "Keep them!" but I for one, appreciate the releases... more for ME. Hahaha. I love the scriptures at the end of your videos --- which make you a fisher of MEN.
BackWoods Riding John actually doesn’t like to eat fish much. Catches the hell out of though 👍 Beside, that’s leaves more fish for us to eat 👍 And I was drooling too 😁
I like catch and release, but those would have been in my frying pan. You were throwing the best tasting fish in the world back in. I had to cut your video short, couldn't take it any longer.
Low 90's here in South America, sitting under the old oak's shade at the backyard enjoying your vídeo. Great job with the crappies!!! Keep videos comin!!!!!
Wonderful video John! Cold water crappie are so sporting. Congrats on yet another good days fishing. Sometimes a jig will out-fish live minnows, especially chartreuse and white colors. BTW, those are all black crappie, and some nice ones too.
Cool video man. I live in GA, I have been rafting right there below the dam. I love fishing for crappie in late fall, seem to be very active. I’m going to have to go check that spot out.
Man them fish were biting 🎣 great video thanks bro after a long day in nothing I enjoy more then watch one of your videos and ur more then welcome in Ireland any time
I also love the panfish assassin along with Bobby Garland's baby shad. Watching you catch fish makes me want to go even more lol. It's been a few weeks since I got to go fishing. Weekend weather here in NW AL hasn't been that good here lately. 👊👍
Looks like a great spot, you found a honey hole for some crappie. Nice job! Man I haven't caught any crappie since spring in NJ. They sure are fun on light tackle.
Hey there Creek fish man... of course I love all of your videos..but if I can make a suggestion.. you should show more of you fishing like in front of the camera...you're the best homegrown, well natured fishman out there. No frills or fancy stuff just ( you). It's a fresh take in the pot of all the fishing vlog shows around! Keep it up.. I always tune in.
Black or white crappie, out here in the Snake and Columbia River systems, as well as world-class crappie Mecca, Moses Lake, they're known as 'paper mouths'. I am certain we are not alone in this. Good times, good memories crappie fishin', oh yeah! Tight lines, man!
Beautiful black crappie, Richard Gene is quite entertaining. But personally I like seeing the multi-species catching and everything. Tomorrow what I like to do unless I'm targeting a specific species
What a great crappie day. I am now officially envious...haven't been able to get out and find the honey holes for those, at least along the banks. Bass have been decent so I guess that makes up for it, but DANG! Slabs are where it's at!
Crappie will bite all winter long John so if you can hit that place with the same water level and conditions, with stable weather, you might be able to get them all winter long. Nice vid and catches! We been releasing a lot of nice 10-12 inches lately too so nothing wrong with C&R crappie fishing. Bravo!
Found your channel for the first time last night when I watched "Exploration - Wild Rainbow Trout Streams". Your knowledge of fish species is impressive. I'm "hooked" (subscribed).
Eat those things! October and December is usually Crappie season. You ought to try Reelfoot Lake, folks catch their limit there this time of the year but bring your boat.
That's the best kind of weather for crappie I've caught alot in the sleet and snow you definitely tore them up that's the best time when they're only running one turbine
When I get into a crappie bite like that, I'm having one of my best days of fishing. Crappie prefer cooler waters. Up here in CT I catch most of mine in the spring, with warm winters also having hot bites. White crappie have a pearl white silver color, while the black crappie--aka calico bass--has a yellowish tint. Counting the spines is another key. Crappie will hit a small popper worked slowly, and also love float minnows either lightly twitched on the surface or doing a jerk and pause like that of a popper, causing the floating minnow to make a spitting sound before coming back up.
John, where I used to go crappie fishing when I was much younger, I used to hang out on bridge abutments and fish from them, along concrete pilings. I used to slay those things with what you have discovered, a chanteuse colored minnow jig that all I had to do was dangle up and down along the piling and they would hook themselves. I think the chartreuse color is the favorite. They are an aggressive species of fish and this older man who was willing to share knowledge turned me onto that jig. He said for whatever reason, that is the color to use in clear water. Something about it being so "loud" in objectivity that it pisses them off and they strike out of hatred. I never doubted that old man and I've noticed you have caught the occasional crappie in other video's when you've used that and you were not fishing for them. You need to file this one in the memory bank for later. :) Oh, and take home a bucket of those crappie for your mom. Serve'em up with melted butter...sure will beat that polo loco stuff you've been choking down! LOL...
@@CreekFishingAdventures Corn meal, Flower...don't worry about filleting them. Just fry them up and then pull them apart and toss the spine. From that point on, put them on cornbread (momma will have to make that) and you will love it. :)
Awsome i always wanted to catch crappie but here in miami there isnr any...we got awsome canal fishing brackish water ..peacocks bass...lg mouth..snakeheads etc..stay blessed brotha ✌
I am drooling watching all those fillets being thrown back.
I'm with you man! I don't think he eats fish.
Crappie is one of the best freshwater fish to eat in my opinion.
I know man. Me too I want some of them 🎣
The releases became torture. My stomach is still growling.
Id be keeping me few for super

Should've kept some of them to eat😂
BackWoods Riding John actually doesn’t like to eat fish much. Catches the hell out of though 👍 Beside, that’s leaves more fish for us to eat 👍 And I was drooling too 😁

Loved it man!
The crappie bite was on.
I saw my feesh sandwich fall back in the water. Catch and release is way cool.
You had a great day. Enjoyed.
Topped with panko crumbs and grated parmesan, then broiled. If you want you can put a spoonful of salsa on top of each one. Dee-lish.
This would have been the perfect fish for your second keep, clean and cook video!! A part of me died watching you throw them back lol. Great fish!
Looks like a great spot, you found a honey hole for some crappie. Nice job! Man I haven't caught any crappie since spring in NJ. They sure are fun on light tackle.

Thanks for the help, I’ll try some more but sometimes it really slows me down when I do that
Ahhhh... I understand, I wasn't aware it would slow down the process.

What a heap of snow dude. That much snow down here in Georgia shuts down the state lolol
a foot or two of snow here in ny shuts down the state
It was actually kind of neat to get a little snow in November. Maybe we will get one big snow this winter
Creek Fishing Adventures I would love to see a solid amount of snow here. It’s been feeling like that kind of year so fingers crossed.
Nice man I haven't had any luck that close to the dam
Beautiful black crappie, Richard Gene is quite entertaining. But personally I like seeing the multi-species catching and everything. Tomorrow what I like to do unless I'm targeting a specific species
Many Thanks John !!!
Nice crappie bud, tight lines my friend :)

I love fishing that dam, there are good trout below there too.
I have never caught any trout from that part
Oh actually I have caught a few. I just remembered
Creek Fishing Adventures I have caught them right there where you were and down just a little where the boat ramp is

With all those crappie, you should have done a catch and cook, and baptized them in some grease. Nice video!!!
Found your channel for the first time last night when I watched "Exploration - Wild Rainbow Trout Streams". Your knowledge of fish species is impressive. I'm "hooked" (subscribed).

Great video... nice crappies! 🎣
The scenery on the hill was pretty change of color.
Eat those things! October and December is usually Crappie season. You ought to try Reelfoot Lake, folks catch their limit there this time of the year but bring your boat.
They have to be at least 9 inches long to keep here in Bama. Some of them would have to go home with me. One of my favorite eating fish.
