- Jordan Davis came all the way up to PA from Florida to wheel Rausch Creek and decided to swing by the Altered Life shop and check out the YJ. I figured why not show you guys his epic build. Ive been following Jordan's Jeep build for a while and its inspired a lot of the projects on my build. I hope you guys enjoy this quick walk around of his Jeep and if you want to see more about it, make sure to go check him out on Instagram and give him a follow. As alway thank you all for tuning in and supporting the channel. We'll see you in the next video!

That’s a sick TJ! 🔥🔥🔥💯🇺🇸
Agreed! Such a Badass Jeep, it was very cool to get to see it in person. Thanks for watching 🍻
Damn that TJ has some GENIUS mods! 🙌
What a great build Jordan. You inspired me, moving the pump up and out, genius I say. I hope to see you on a trail!
Man that lights a fire under me! I want my tj to to grow up to be JUST like his!👍👍👍
Hell yeah! He’s working on a whole next stage of his build and it’s turning out epic. Definitely check out his channel
Badass. Hope to get my tj half this cool 😎
Good lord that's a clean ass build. Love that you have the winch tucked super low so it doesn't restrict airflow. Also love that black powdercoated body armor on the sides. Clean ass welds all around, too. Very, very well done.
That's an awesome Jeep! A lot of really creative fabrication work, definitely motivating to see a build like this.
I feel a bit more comfortable now running 35's on my Dana 44's.
Badass TJ!!! The home built stuff is legit, I'd buy that bumper for my JKU!!!
The thing is insane 😳💪🤙🤘♥️
It really is, such a badass rig!
Wow what a nice jeep, I'm not keen on the dash but you can clearly see the attention to detail on that and every aspect, to say I'm jealous would be an understatement
It really is a pretty rad build, like you said the attention to detail is Impressive
Awesome work buddy! Love the edit! Lol I still wish I did my floor like yours though 🤣
Thanks Brother! It was a blast having you over and I’m glad I was able to finally see your rig in person. Your floor turned out pretty epic as well as everything else you did haha
Amazing build! Very creative
His Jeep is awesome, tons of great ideas
Military Dash board NOICE 👌 !!
Bad ass TJ 👍🏻👍🏻
Love the build man!! I’m building a 1 ton TJ on my channel but have been getting quite a few ideas from your YJ build!
Awesome! I’m glad I can help with ideas haha. I’ll have to check out your build 🤘🏼
@@altered_life what would you have done differently if you were back at square one?
So beautiful! Mind blowing! Wish I could do something like this by myself. I’m getting a YJ soon for customization, but not doing it myself :(
Very cool indeed!
Agreed, im pretty jealous of a lot on his Jeep haha
respect from France
Thank you for tuning in and supporting the channel!
Beautiful 😍
You’re not wrong hahah it’s a awesome build!
Beautiful, I just picked up a 98 Jeep TJ and cant believe how much I am falling in love with it already. I did just post a video on my channel about it if your interested in having a look.
Awesome, congrats on the new Jeep! They will hook you fast hahah. Good luck with your new project, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for watching!
Wow the Jeep that needs Trailer ramps! Was almost a two foot drop. Obviously it’s a trailer queen.
Awesome video
Thank you Jaime! 🍻
I have a 90 yj. I've got 12 bolt axles under it from an 85 k5 blazer but I want to go ahead and ditch the leaf springs. I'm thinking jk or tj Dana 44s. What would you recommend if you were in my shoes?
Unless you have a steel-it sponsorship look at Seymore Stainless steel paint it appears to be the same thing at a third of the cost
Thanks for the heads up!
That’s good to know! I’ll definitely check them out, appreciate the info.
Sangat mengagumkan keren👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
dammmm
44 are possible just on borrowed time -weeks or months not years
I think one thing to consider as far as the dana 44’s on 40’s with the recoil tj and your yj is that he is still running the 4.0 where as you are going LS. With more power you stand a greater chance of breakage. I mean conservative driving will go a long ways but if you get bound up and apply too much power breaks occur at any power level but certainly more likely in your build than his. Not to be the net sayer here just saying he has the advantage in lack of power
You are absolutely correct 😅 hahaha I will for sure have to watch myself when it comes to throttle control as well as being bound up and body hop with the leaf springs. I for sure will break something at some point but I believe with the weight of the rig and proper driving technique I should be able to hang with the 1 ton fellas lol. Time will tell though, in the mean time I definitely plan on doing a good bit of upgrading to the axles before really giving it the beans. I appreciate the comment and you supporting the channel. Thanks Cordy 👍🏼🍻
Well said Cordy. I’ve always been a pretty conservative wheeler so that was another big factoring my decision to pull the trigger on the 40” Mickeys. That and the fact that the 44s are significantly lighter than say a d60/14b. 👍🏼
Why did he trailer and not drive the TJ? Cool build.
Love it! Where did he find that turn signal switch setup?
Good question, I’m not sure. You can probably send him a message on instagram and he can let you know.
Dream jeep now I’m going to copy you I’m sorry it’s just too awesome
Hahaha no need to apologize, that’s how all builds go. Inspired by others! Thank you for watching 👍🏼
What prep work was done before painting the body?
I know Steel-it does have specific instructions on how to prep before coating. Definitely having a sanded etched surface is key but I’m not sure exactly what he did to prep though
I’m doing that to my tj.
Awesome! Good luck with your build 🍻
So is that a MotoBilt stubby front bumper on the rear?
I’m pretty sure that is the bumper that comes with the Motobilt back half kit and then Jordan modified it to be winch capable.
Those jk 44s aren't really 44s. They're more like a 45 or 46 than anything. They're beefier and not really compatible with other 44s. Those are both badass jeeps
Thank you! They are under appreciated axles especially if they are built correctly. Appreciate you watching!
@@altered_life exactly. Very under appreciated.
Nice job! What’s the axle ratio on recoil?
Thank you Mitch 🍻 I can’t remember exactly but it was either 5.13 or 5.38
I’m running 5:38s from Yukon
That dash!! I want to do something like that in a YJ so I can I have that tablet that’s freaking awesome. Does he have a RUclips ?
I know right! His dash is awesome and definitely going to be and inspiration for my dash build. I don’t think he has a RUclips but he does have a instagram and Facebook for his new business, @overkill.customs
yooo how do you put gas in the jeep?
He just lifts his top cover and brings the fuel hose to the tank
Lite brite
tell me what is the name of this color ?
steel it gray....
Hey I have a very similar build is there anyway I can talk to your buddy
Just started my own cannel. check it out!
Definitely check out his channel!!
All that $$$ put into 44s, but ya could have had 60s
Definitely didn’t see the project going this far lol but we’ll see how they hold up. If I was to start fresh again I would go 60’s but the overall weight difference is definitely huge so 🤞🏻here’s to hoping the light weight will be what keeps me from destroying them 😂
I hope he got paid to put all that sticker cred on a rig anyone could build
