Since its in Johor and he has envious this project in the south would be successful it should allow the southerners to prosper and make it the jewel of South East Asia. Hope the present Government will be more practical and have a decent public transportation to revive this city.
You give Mahathir too much credit for the sh*tshow that is Forest City. If Country Garden had chosen a more convenient and connected location, if they had priced units within the reach of locals, if it hadn’t been so heavily marketed to China buyers (who wants them as neighbours), if workmanship had been better… Mahahtir- please.
Mahathir has his reasons for his objections which is not the cause of Forest City ills. It does not make sense as the place is so overpriced making it for the locals not able to afford it. Depending on foreigners to buy it, would the country be compromised? Are there conditions for foreign buyers to adhere, would there be more investment inflow to Malaysia?
China's Country Garden has a 60% stake in the Forest City estate, while the remaining 40% of the estate is owned by Sultan Ibrahim, the king of Malaysia.

Interviewing a property agent about how great it is without balance, 90% of shops closed - not brilliant journalism, is it, to big up the development? Love the excuse about Chinese in China not able to post the keys to their apartments so they can be rented out - really funny, as is the presenter not questioning this vigorously. A healthy dose of scepticism needed for the next video! The place should be thriving, being so close to expensive Singapore. Clearly, public / ferry transport is the thing that is really lacking. There will be a tipping point if security is allowed to become more of a problem than it is now. I wouldn't live there!
It's actually pretty well-built from the outside, I can foresee the Chinese owners soon returning to Malaysia and re-selling the units to Malaysian owners.
Even if they give me for free, the outstading maintenance fee owed over the years will kill. 30 minutes from other township, 2 hours from Singapore, I'd visit once or twice per year max, more expensive than hotel.

Ghosts also move out already
Cakap melayu jela. Lidah belacan tak hilang. Letak cc english bawah tu
This is the place that I wanted to live
Good, should sell them cheap to the locals.
The Forest City was unfortunate by the actions mainly by Mahathir followed by the Covid 19 pandemic. Since its in Johor and he has envious this project in the south would be successful it should allow the southerners to prosper and make it the jewel of South East Asia. Hope the present Government will be more practical and have a decent public transportation to revive this city.
It will take much more than public transportation to save this project. Something closer to the order of a miracle.
the unspoken truth.... CAREFUL, later sue you for 5 m.
You come here day time offcourse looks alive. Try coming here after evening or magrib. Then you see whether is it lonely or not? Nearest petrol station is a shell station far away. Good luck to those if their car or motor break down. The roads leading and coming out is like crap condition. Maybe able to lie to folks staying out of town here but for those people staying at gelang patah area knowlaa how bad the facilities and amenities are. Just for the sake of cheap rental only if you cannot afford medini or sunway area due to work in singapore.
What a shame- so much potential.
ghost town does not mean that place is haunted ... its just full of empty homes and shops 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exactly. I think some of the people interviewed didn't understand that.
bro is a place filled with druggies bro
Not everyone is affordable to buy the units. The remote place and unavailable night entertainment. 😊
I give all simple solution laa 1:40 ... tuanku simply need to instruct PM dsai to revive the HSR project by realigning & endding at jurong sgpore ... but must ! built one station at forest city . Whilst Bandar malaysia( iskandar waterfront sg besi need to b developd fast like std of KL sentral with integrated mrt/lrt/ hsr hub . Iskandar Waterfront lim kang ho & tuanku got big share n connected what. Linking KL -Sgpor with FCity cojoined BMalaysia as 2 important catalyst will re excite all over again FC . Malaysia always Bolehland laa ...& daulat tuanku power lo !
Living here is an introvert's dream
You mean an ascetic. An ascetic shuns conveniences and modernity. An introvert simply shuns people. Even an introvert would like to have essential services within a day's drive at highway speeds.
Alone at "my own" beach, gym, park, pool,etc..... what's not to like?........i love it! 💆
@@mysmartieteevee3036 went once. The beach not clean, the pool in the video was just recently cleaned up. it was dragonfly-infested in 2022.
This is my vibe
Supper hit 🎉
How much is it per unit?
There is no big mosque there yet. How to pray friday??
Technically a ghost city.
ada rumah landed atau semua high rise?
It looks like a ghost town on your video, especially when considering 9000 residents in a place built for 700,000? Interviewing a property agent about how great it is without balance, 90% of shops closed - not brilliant journalism, is it, to big up the development? Love the excuse about Chinese in China not able to post the keys to their apartments so they can be rented out - really funny, as is the presenter not questioning this vigorously. A healthy dose of scepticism needed for the next video! The place should be thriving, being so close to expensive Singapore. Clearly, public / ferry transport is the thing that is really lacking. There will be a tipping point if security is allowed to become more of a problem than it is now. I wouldn't live there!
is this city near Singapore border?
if you see country and gardens performance domestically in china, would you expect better in malaysia?
Million Dollar homes rented out for less than RM 1000 per month.
Good deal!
❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Love your Malaysian accent, girl.
It's actually pretty well-built from the outside, I can foresee the Chinese owners soon returning to Malaysia and re-selling the units to Malaysian owners.
You think Msia buyers are idiots?
@@melvinch What if they sell them for 1/10 of the original price? Would you buy one?
yeah, sure. Just like what they did in Vancouver lmao
Even if they give me for free, the outstading maintenance fee owed over the years will kill.
30 minutes from other township, 2 hours from Singapore, I'd visit once or twice per year max, more expensive than hotel.
@@wahlaubu7609how many years of maintenance fee owed, maybe free also not worthwhile.
YES
Short answer: yes
long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Pergh nak beli satu. Damai
Still a failed development when looking at the numbers. Find me one investor here who claims buying a property here was a wise decision and world they have bought it if they could go back in time.
After covid, many ghosts have been resurrected.
i love quite neighbourhood
Wtf Johor?! 🤣🤣
It is still a ghost town as at Oct 2023.
Tak jadi bandar hantu, jadi bandar sendu pun ok lah. Hahaha makin buruk semenjak tak nak bagi Chinese beli rumah sini
It looks like nature is already taking it back.
Are these condos free to live in?
no. Most bought by prc
Lower the price and it will sell. Very simple. Still cannot sell? Lower it some more and more…
Give free confirm everyone come,easy
Chinese would now love to move out of mainland China to forest City, 2 millions waiting, will Malaysia government support long term visa?
Country Garden in deep trouble now. Couldn't pay their bonds.
"Singapore as a backdrop" thats bold
what's wrong with that statement
Imagine hating on a successful country, weak haters like you can relate. Repent today.
Kelakar rakyat malaysia menyewa dari org china kt negara sendiri.kesian org malaysia ye
Racist! Mau sewa cuma2?
It's for someone who wants peace...that's why this place called "Forest"...if u expect it to be buzz by ppl than go to pasar malam then
You think with so many empty shops, it's meant to be a forest?? It's merely a name bro. Get real.
If I had that kind of money, I would buy a house with land not apartment. Can’t imagine if trapped in the broken lift.

Looks like a ghost city to me. Even the sign is written in Chinese.
We will figure out on this 5 November 2023...keep finger cross to those who already own this property... those who want own this property u are very much welcome after this date....only one thing you have to concern is they strata status...,.. Malaysia history show if you want your property success then you must have low cost apartment around your property
It must be, Singapore did something there..
This city looks amazing...silent, not many cars or people and GREEN! Wow 😳🤔 hmm
This place will fall apart before it sees any substantial growth in residents.
The present situation of Forest City undisputably is irreversible ... In simple words it has come to a Dead End ... China owners will not come back .. the only tenants are the local Malaysians from whole peninsula work in Singapore
Less than rm1000 can rent a 4 bedroom?
Forest City will be derelict and unattractive to anyone looking to moving in, before it can get a decent number people to move in. Rather poetic that the developer's country will get old before it gets rich.
Kita duduk di stingan orang dari China duduk Kondo.......memang sistem lain dari pada yang lain....
Study hard, work smart. You too can live a wealthy lifestyle.
kondo bknnya mahal mana skrg.. rumah teres tu lagi mahal..
Kena ikut trend market masyarakat tu jugak.
@@nicknick3994 memang x mahal pun sekarang, masalah nye banyak rakyat kita nak single unit low rise homes, x semua nak high rise homes. Rumah yang 1 2 tingkat tu yang mahal dan semua orang nakkan housing begitu.
@@zekeaffy9647 betul.. so komen yg kata rakyat kita x mampu nak beli rumah sini mmg mcm x berasas laa skit.. padahal boleh je nak beli
Gimme the penthouse!
Must have LRT system. Connected to JB.
The Government should build a bridge directly to join Forest City to Lim Chu Kang Rd, Singapore for the exclusive use of the residents. Just propose it to Singapore. Nah! middle finger.
Great 😃
Jai Hinduja. According to the Mamak, Malaysians might as well marry a ghost and move into the forest.
"Quiet"
..yes, that's for sure
Rapid depreciation of Malaysian Ringgit also drives foreign investors away and will never return
Casino and her will projects forest city
Among 6,000 inhabitants out of (expected) 120,000 residences, it's mere.. 5% occupants... Still long way to ..ehr.. Urbanisation.!!
Malaysians want to buy. Can?
Idealno za snimanje SF filmova
Tun M dah lama cakap pasal project ni,sekali betul jadi reban😂
Unless country garden bud a bridge connecting singapore directly to this area..this will stay a ghost town.
