  • For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a survivor 1975 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with just 44,429 actual miles. The car is a low, 3 owner vehicle and is in great shape for its age. Under the hood is the believed to be original 350 CID V8 engine backed by an automatic transmission. The Monte Carlo is nearly all original! Options include: AM/FM radio, cassette, cruise control, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, tilt wheels, seat belts, cloth interior, SWIVEL BUCKET SEATS and raised white letter radial tires. Swivel bucket seats were a rare option and you won't find many in this shape! Looking at the exterior you'll see an older black paint that pairs nicely to the luxurious red interior. The 1975 Monte Carlo received only minor styling changes from the 1974 model, including a new grille with the Monte Carlo emblem moved to the center section and new vertically shaped taillights with horizontal louvers. All models received catalytic converters to meet the latest federal and California emission requirements that included bonuses such as improved fuel economy and drivability, along with longer spark plug and muffler life, but required more expensive and lower-octane unleaded gasoline. This inevitably started the low performance standards of the late 70s; no more 400 horsepower muscle cars. This 1975 Monte Carlo is turn-key, ready for a cruise. Back when I was in the military ('84-'86) I had a '75 Monte Carlo with the exact same options package including the swivel bucket seats.
The only difference was it was white and with single exhaust.
The odometer reading on my car was suspect as there was scratch marks by the 10k number on the dash and I believe it was rolled back for easier selling.
This car in this video brings back some good memories and I would very much like to buy another in the near future.
EDIT: This car has been sold. It is a car I would have been *proud* to own.

Please keep in my mind that we do not do any work on the cars. They are in these conditions when they enter our showroom.

I'm still wondering how many of these were ordered with swivel buckets and a console! A lot of related Grand Prixs were ordered that way!

I wish the last Chevy convertible had been the '75 Monte Carlo instead of the Caprice, in all honesty..
