    She is the best player I have seen since the Great Monica Seles. Better than Martina Hingis too. Iga caught my attention the first time I saw her. I was lie wow, her talent and game is beyond compare. The last player that I saw before iga that I thought would be the next #1 when I saw her play her first professional match at Fed Cup was Justine Henen. But Iga is just AMAZING. Her only flaw was her serve (well and her taste in music, lol). But that has improved now. She could become the GOAT. Go Iga Go.😀🍌

    Iga is undoubtedly impressive. When she defeated Carolina Wozniacki in the 2019 Roger Cup, being a teen, I knew she was something else but talented and was here to stay! The pandemic only delayed her accomplishments as a teen but didn't stop her from making history in many other ways. She has been the world's #1 for 72 consecutive weeks, passing Wozniacki in holding that #10 place in the history of tennis of all eras! And she's here to stay!

    • @vojtasjedyny
      @vojtasjedyny Год назад +12

      Always? Not really. H2H vs Sabalenka is 5:2 for Iga (last time Saba lost in Stuttgart, just a few days ago). I don't think this match-up is bad for Iga. Vs. Osaka - they played twice against each other. First time Iga lost but she was just 18, and still that match was tighter than score suggests. Second time was last year in Miami final - Iga bageled Osaka in a style. Vs. Rybakina H2H is 1:2 - Iga was injured last time, so this match-up is yet to be seen. Vs. Ostapenko - Jelena is very unpredictable. When she's on, she can destroy anyone, because she always goes for the lines. But no one is able to hit the lines all the time. That's why her results are underwhelming. Her match vs. Jabeur in Stuttgart is Ostapenko's career in a nutshell ; in first set, she destroyed Ons like true number 1, but another two sets she lost decisively, because of her brainless attitude and lack of plan B. Anyway last match Iga vs. Jelena was very tight, Iga lost in 3rd set TB.
      As for the other big hitters, Iga beat most of them e.g. Garcia, Q. Zheng, Keys, Samsonova, Alexandrova, Kvitova, Pliskova, Giorgi.

    • @briankeith9584

    • @vojtasjedyny
      @vojtasjedyny Год назад +8

      Iga has very solid backhand too, which is one of the reasons why she's an elite returner. She used to play a lot of dropshots before 2022 (and she was pretty good at that), but she stopped because DS were no efficient that much and contrary to one can think - they often negatively impact shot selection during important moments of the match. This is why Ons Jabeur doesn't play them as frequent as she used to. Change of tactics. Iga is still 21, she's learning slice and volley, she will get it sooner or later. Iga vs. Sabalenka H2H is 5:2. H2H vs Rybakina is 1:2 (in their last match Iga was injured). Hopefully no one force you to watch her matches.

I would place her game around fourth- fifth ten in history. She loosed to Agnieszka Radwanska in friendly match...Agnieszka after couple of years after quit professional tennis. This should tell you something about level of tennis players In WTA right now. I never see so many mistakes on court as from Igas opponents. That's why she is winning most of a time. To big ego. Very unprofessional when loosing..last time on final speech after loosing with Sabalenka she mentioned injuries to not credit her opponent to much. Hysterical and overrated not to mention that it will be better for her if she would stop talking.
