During my NS, we always need to carry a FAD (First Aid ..) in the left chest pocket. But that FAD was expired. It was as if just for show. I think they kept the fresh ones in store for inspection.
Maybe it's to save the fresh ones for real combat or exercises

@@Alexander-et9jm In a previous video, he was spotting long beard in a feature about training for fat trainees in a camp. For a Singaporean to enter a military camp, he needs to respect the rules and regulations of the camp. Long beards are not allowed

SAF doctors can be tough, but never better than doctors who work in the civilian sector simply because of the fact that civilian doctors are under public scrutiny and SAF doctors are not. SAF doctors can afford to stereotype patients as "chao keng", civilian doctors can't afford a misdiagnosis via stereotyping. SAF doctors handle mock cases most of the time to refresh knowledge. Civilian doctors handle real cases all the time.
SAF doctors are not allowed to stereotype soldiers of all ranks, and they are also under scrutiny of the military medical board, just like medics are under senior medic DXOs
@@blackspadex22 Oh but they do and they do it every time. Scrutiny from public means people can sue the doctors or the hospital if they do something wrong. Can SAF be sued? The scrutiny by military medical board you talk about is the same as the Singapore Medical board in the civilian sector which is a governing body. I was a regular in SAF for 6 years and I worked as a staff nurse before. I personally witnessed an ex- NSF medic struggle horribly in a hospital setting. Apparently, the pace, workload, skills and competency required is far greater than what SAF needed to deal with.
Many civilian doctors dont dare to perform operation so they decide to become family doctor.

I'm glad the SAF is launching machines to calculate push ups/sit ups for IPPT. The less well known side of the SAF is that it is actually incredibly easy to cheat for IPPT without the machines. Too many loopholes in the system.
