This is the same as the Sears eaary-load 2x2 slide viewer. Model # 992261. I couldn't remember how to release the battery tray and your video resolved my issue. Thank you!
💥💥 Thanks for the video. I just inherited my dads. Pana-Vue by View-Master. Mine is black and thank you for showing me how to open it. Now to put some D batteries in it and see if it lights up. 🤟🏼
I have a "gaf pana-vue automatic lighted 2x2 slide viewer" similar to the one in the video. My issue is that the drawer pulls out but the battery case is stuck and only pulls out 1/2 inch. I don't want to force it. Could you explain how to take apart the viewer to access the battery case instead of pulling out the drawer. Thank you.
Hello David, unfortunately I no longer have the viewer in my possession as I sold it shortly after making the video. I can not remember how it assembled etc. Sorry I can't help you but I'll have a look at the video and see if it jogs my memory.
Hi there! I had the same issue. When I took a peak in the drawer I could see that the D battery had lifted up enough to jam and keep it from sliding out. I just slid a butter knife in there to push the D battery back down while sliding the drawer out and that worked. Good luck!
🤣🤣🤣 Well now you know. They were making fair money on eBay if in good condition and working. I sold mine for around £45.00 at the time of posting the video. Many thanks.
When putting the battery cartridge back in after putting in the batteries, The slide holder slipped out lof it track but the cartridge slid inside. Now, I cannot get the cartridge out. I've pressed the clip in, slid a thin piece of metal farther in to keep the lever compressed, I've pulled, wiggled and about to throw it out. Can you help me get this cartridge out? It only moves 1/4" to 1/2" before it gets stuck.
@@DARTraderMediaProductions I believe so. I've actually thrown it out thinking I would hear from anyone. I'll get it back and wait to see if you can figure it out.Thank you so much
@@hhsc04 Hi, I've had a look at mine and I can't seem to replicate the problem you have. I just can't see how it would get stuck, there is nothing on mine that would cause it to get stuck. Maybe you have a slightly different model. Sorry.
I had the same issue. I realized that the battery had popped up and was jamming and keeping the cartridge from sliding out. I was able to slide a butter knife in and push the battery back down and was able to slide the cartridge out. hope that helps, good luck!

That's great, hope the bulb is still good as replacements were expensive the last time I looked a few years ago. Many thanks.
Thanks! Trying to get mine working again. Hoping I find the correct batteries.
Many thanks, did you ever get the correct batteries ?

I'll dig mine out when I get chance and see if I can work out the problem. Is it the exact same model?

Do you know of any power replacements? Bought one that doesnt have the lamp with it.
Sorry I can't help you there, maybe keep an eye on eBay for a broken one for spares.
