These guys make that final boss look like cake walk. It's so stupidly HARD. I managed to pass it with both X and Zero but not without a LOT of patience for the final boss.
OneTrueBelmont - never could get past it myself. Spent a lotta hours getting close but always failing. Casual gamers without all the knowledge of tricks and strategy really do need the patience of a saint.
I beat it yesterday. It was a nuisance for sure. It really comes to figuring out patterns. That makes scythe Sigma almost trivial and, if you bring two full sub-tanks, should make Earth/Gunner Sigma manageable. Especially Gunner. You can't really avoid Earth's attacks, though I didn't know you could just bunny hop through the bit with the whirlwinds.
If you ask me, Sigma in X5 is significantly harder than Sigma in X4; a lot of his shit in X5 hits harder, is more unpredictable and significantly harder to avoid. Those materializing purple cubes in his second form, in particular, are horrible.
X5 is best. In love speeding through it. One summer when i was 12 i had an obsession of beating it every day trying to see how fast i could do it. Besides x1 this is the second fastest one for me
When i was 5 y.o my friend claimed that there's another super strong secret armor if u beat the general without taking any damage. that's when i know people sprouted bullshit
This dude makes this game look SUPER EASY, but I'm here to tell you. It's really hard. Especially to get all the extra tanks and upgrades. This dude is a god.
"You're gonna get hurt, X!" ???? Whaaa? I distinctly remember him saying something more like "I'm going to love tearing you apart!" or something at least not cheesy....
@Matthias Flanagias Double actually has three different lines he can speak at the start of his fight, "I'm so anxious to rip you apart!" the one you were trying to remember and my personal favorite, ""I'm gonna recycle you!", and the last one of "Ha ha ha... You're gonna get hurt, X!"
X4 was always my favorite out of all of them. I don't like the extra bullshit they added to the games afterwards. They got way to fucking complicated I think.

That and back then video games were considered bottom of the barrel witch work. Its hard to believe today but back then video games were not really taken very seriously by many in terms of animation, music etc etc. Probably why so many old games stand out compared to today because back then peeps had shit to prove.

I mean something like: "This is really REALLY hard." or "This is one of the hardest tricks." or something like that, exactly after the runner fails at some point in every single speedrun with a co-commentator. :P Of course they are no computers, but nobody would say "And he fucked up...", they act like if the runner is perfect and messing things up is caused to some """pixel perfect""" crap.
Marco Funke sometimes it's good if they fail a few times. Otherwise they make it look super easy and riskless. However if you see them fail you can see how hard it is and you also see the risk of them failing. You see how many seconds they lose.
Overdrive Ostrich's stage in X2 is easily the best ride chaser stage in all of MMX, and Jet Stingray's stage is a super close 2nd, but Volt Kraken's stage in X5 is just terribad, even X8's two chaser stages (Avalanche Yeti & Gigabolt Man-O-War) are better than it.
I haven't played this game. Only the older Mega Man games. But I must say that these "X" versions look really really shit. Reminds me of a remade flash version of the game, done by some random. Everything is too big. The character, the enemies and the enviroment.
you realize this game was made 20 years ago right? no other megaman game plays as fluent as the X series. give credit where credit is due. since when were games about looks anyways? i guess you'd prefer a megaman 14 instead of a change in style?

I always use the Plasma Shot upgrade, had no idea the stored shot variant was more efficient! Great run!
