Wow Matt this is the best information I’ve seen You’re the best one I’ve seen and can watch this many times lol Keep up the great c6 info In looking for a c6 ls3 car with manual and want to know all of the mods beforehand and man they look great Thanks again for the very informative c6 videos
@@joelpremo8857 Hey Joel! Hope you’re doing well my man. Thanks a ton and good luck on your search. I hope you can find that perfect LS3 manual and can’t wait to hear of the day when you pick one up! Take care brother!
Sick engine mod tips. Very cool to learn from all you guys with more experience. Can’t stand the look though haha but that’s completely subjective - glad you like it. the mismatched wheels and soft top just completely ruin it for me 😂
@@Rainersherwood Thanks man! And I totally get it. I’ll have some matching wheels down the road once I do the wide body/ZR1 conversion. It had welds for the front too but they were skinnies and just a little too sketchy for me on the streets. I get it on the soft top too. It’s a sorta love it or hate it thing. With where the car is now, going back I would’ve got the regular coupe. Thanks for stopping by man!
@@Mattsboosted oh nice! Wide body kits can look so sick. I’m just starting on this path of modding LS’s. I live in an area where most of the Motorsport stuff is off-road related. So I’ve got a 99 Silverado I’ve built a custom flat bed for, lifted a couple inches, installed new shocks with longer travel, new pads and disks, nice beadlock wheels and A/T tires. It already rips off-road with the stock ~350 hp and beefed up chassis components but it’s my daily driver and I don’t want to fuxks with the engine before I know what I’m doing. In comes the summer car vette that I can not worry about too much when I break it. Almost there on savings to buy a bit of a beater c6 or nice c5 and throw at least 10k at the engine.
I wonder why no one ever mentions rear end gears. Cam...not sure I would consider that a bolt on. But I did put a cam and valve spring swap in my 98 C5.
@@ShaneMillsMedia Heads are a good idea too but I generally stay away from those until you’re stage 3 plus just for cost savings versus power addition. And I feel you. A cam is debatable in terms of “bolt on” but I usually consider anything without a power adder or bottom end build to be “bolt on.” Definitely get your point though since it’s an internal engine component. Thanks for watching! 🙌
@@Mattsboosted was a good video though! Patiently waiting for mine to come out of the shop. Did heads, cam, Hiram, throttle body, 2” headers, full 3” exhaust on E hoping to make some good power 😁
I’ve got a 2005 auto c6 with 142k miles and I’ve got an intake, headers, and exhaust, I’m wondering what I should do next and after that. I don’t rly know much about cars.
@@kelby2317 That’s sick man! It really depends on your long term goals. In terms of engine mods, maybe a cam and Fast 102 intake. For exterior, get the front chin, taillights, rear wing, maybe update or new lenses for your headlights depending on how they’re looking. Rims are always a nice upgrade as well! 🙌
@ I got some carbon fiber on the front, sides and the lip on the back, all the lights have been changed and upgraded. I have a corsa intake is that good?
@ Yeah for sure! Corsa is great. You could do a fast upper Intake manifold as well but they are like 1k, super pricey. A dyno tunewould be nice. You could also do a little suspension setup depending on your goals. Another nice upgrade is the carbon fiber steering wheel!

@@BlownInterceptor71 Rear gears are definitely a good one! The cam is the most controversial on the list I agree. Sounds nice on the C5! 🙌
Might as well do your heads too if your tossing a cam in. But I never heard of Fbo including a cam.
