Watch the video and received a lot of important tips from it I will save it and review it every now and then …it was well presented and easy to follow Thanks
I think the video should have a piece of vehicle prep. This especially important for elderly drivers. Having lots of windshield washer fluid and clearing any snow from your vehicle before you take to the road is a high priority. Having winter tires installed well before it becomes an emergency is vital. Seniors then to be forgetful and a reminder never hurts.
My biggest peeve with drivers today is when you stop behind another driver at a traffic light they only activate their left turn signal when the light turns green. Had they had the left turn signal already on I could have simply kept to the right.
This video is really good as far as it goes but frankly ignores the worst of what seniors will face in Sudbury, Ontario - cutting in within an inch without signalling constantly, facing road rage, if you dare go the speed limit drivers honking horns and trying to speed past you dangerously close near causing accidents - rude disgusting bad drivers are so common it is a nightmare of most main roads.
Excellent refresher - . especially about merging into faster traffic now that the 400 series hwy's speed limit has been raised to 110 km. Just another thought; more caution is also needed in 'stop and go' heavy traffic and remove any distractions , even conversations if needed. I believe patience is needed against aggressive drivers, especially at intersections who may inadvertantly honk their horns, which can cause uneeded health stress to seniors and/or a false reaction.
Ridiculous: No appointments available in London or St. Thomas. Call back in few days. Also website goes to several different "sponsored" sites. Still looking for test sample. Video was good.
Most of us compensate for the gradual deterioration of physical and mental powers with greater vigilance and patience. However, senior drivers tend to be honked, bullied and pressured by impatient drivers who break speed and other restrictions in a wild rush to save a few seconds. It is rare to see principled traffic. Actual road conditions should also be taken into account.
i agree, I live in Sudbury, Ontario where road rage, no signalling, cut in front within inches near collisions a nightmare & drivers are disgusting, speed & rude! Seniors can easily get rattled by such bad drivers.
I will be 80 and noticed last 30 years drivers have become worse and dangerous No respect for safety of others Simply gas on peddle and ignore everyone and everything around them Get out of my way attitude😢
All drivers should be required to watch this. A good percentage of drivers have no idea how to use acceleration lanes, not just seniors.
Because media personalities and TV announcers keep referring to them as "ramps'"
Everyone should view this video - not seniors only.
I agree
