I love Basim's background story. It's just disappointing that nowadays so much of this is told outside the games. Most people don't read these novels so events and characters feel disconnected and don't make much sense for players.
15:10 Ive noticed that usually what triggers a isu sage reincarnation memories is doing upon or something in their past life currently happening With Tyr it was losing his hand to fenrir So fulke chopped Sigurd hand basically With Odin it was him dying during ragnorok to Fenrir And with Eivor as a kid it was getting bit by the wolf after she ran away in the woods from ktoves clan who killed her parents And that triggered her odin coincidence I think with basim in mirage i think were gonna see that he may have had son who was taken away and killed at a young age
I love how mirage isn’t even out yet we pretty much know his whole life. The question now thou and will continue to be since he is Loki. How much of it is actually true, what is a lie, a guise, fabricated or just hidden. Dudes a manipulator after all he is the god of tricks and lies. And thou basim is just a sage and thus not completely Loki he dos give himself to Loki sometime during his life. We just don’t know when
To me it sounds like basim and loki respectet each other. Loki didnt just take over but rather combined with him alowing basims want to keep working for the brotherhood and lokis want to kill Odin to coexist..admidetly it might have corruptet Basims lock on the brotherhood standing for chaos more then freedom
I enjoyed thr final chapter but it was way too short I mean come on a mission that takes 20 30 minutes at most that "wraps" up the story. It should have been a dlc of the same length as the other 2 that also showed Ragnarok to wrap up thingss witb Odin.
but if mirage is the last story of Basim since red will have a very different protagonist I am curious what will happen to Basim after William gets into his genetic memory in mirage will they kill him or will they try to let him control his Loki side just like the way eivor did.......I want to know his end...
@@Sarge327 Juno was an important part of the Modern Day and she just vanished, though not completely because they ended her story line in the comics but still...
@@jklxyy Ah yes, because a playable modern day character will be written off in a comic. Do you know why Juno was given that treatment? Haha we just used footage from AC Revelations as background to tell some of the stories of Basim from books and novels that don’t have visuals we could use!
@Access The Animus There is also the book Assassin's Creed: The Golden City, where Basim and Hytham are partners in mission. I have not watched this video yet, since I started reading “the golden city” just a couple of days ago and want to avoid spoilers, but I want to discuss a thing: we know there were many inconsistencies with the song of glory comic, but are we sure Ammon was a member of the Hidden Ones? Basim was working for his own goal so it is entirely possible he wouldn’t want to inform the brotherhood about details like his schearching of a norseman, he could have even trained a couple of man to be sure they were faithful to him. For example, in the comic it seems Basim doesn’t want them to use his real name, it doesn’t seem necessary within the brotherhood but it would be if he wanted to avoid people who knew him, like the brotherhood itself. This would explain why Ammon used the hidden blade the wrong way.
@@Noctuam734 since there were problems in communication between ubisoft and the author, in the comic the characters sometimes are completely different from their game counterparts (Kjotve was base on an old artwork, for example), a member of the Brotherhood wears the hidden blade like Darius on his right wrist and the “reincarnation” of Idunn, the only one who does not appear in Valhalla, has the mark on the wrong side of the neck. What I was saying in the comment above is: if the Hidden One was not in fact one of them, at least one of this mistakes can be overlooked.
@@Astristul they did explain it in the game as well as in the trailers that both are canan, which as I recall confused fans. In the game, we learn, Eivor is female but she has Odin's DNA, so the animus is confused who is who. Eivor, unlike the other reincarnations (sages), has major differences to Odin, which is why unlike Sigurd and Basim, Eivor doesn't merge with Odin, but remains separate, because the differences between them are too great. That's why "male Eivor" looks exactly like Odin - because that is Odin. Also, this is why whenever you "let the animus decide" it always picks "female Eivor" in the base game and "male Odin" in Dawn Of Ragnarok.

Haha lowkey (Loki) I see what you did there. 😉
This video reminds me of the good ol' days of me reading and checking up on the AC wiki. Those were the days.
That story with Hytham and the prince remind me of the concept of Prince of Persia: Assassins - which became Assassin's Creed (1).
I know mirage isn’t out yet but i would love if they make a sequel about Basim’s and Hytham’s time in Constantinopel
Once again, love your work. It's actually a great story when i understand it in a way that IS understandable like this.
Enjoying these can’t wait for part 3
7:17 the whole Constantinople storyline i wouldnt be shocked if this was the dlc for mirage and the ending of it would be basim meeting sigurd
Ay it's finally here.

Basim's story in Constantinople should have been a DLC in Mirage, not a novel or comic book that the vast majority of people are not going to read.

I swear the story of Valhalla would have been so much better if they just focused on this stuff.

So Eivor is female in canon as is Kassandra? (Hope I spelled her name right.)
Yes.
My only fear is that all that loki connection is going to be ignored in Mirage. 🤧
Don’t be afraid of that, they showed him encountering Loki in his mind during the cinematic trailer.
I kinda hope they do, Norse mythology has no business interfering with an Arab character

Why do most assassin’s have daddy issues.
Why keep referring to eivor as “her” it’s him not her
Because the memories are now contained in a real female's body.
Not hard to figure out. 😂
Eivor is cannonically female, as well as her full name points it out. The male version of her is actually just Odin reminiscent within her
