May 27 was certainly a magical date for the Mears family, because not only did Casey Mears grab his one and only NASCAR win in this race, but his legendary uncle Rick's first two Indianapolis 500 wins, in 1979 and 1984, also came on May 27. Also, this was to be the final top 5 finish for Kyle Petty, the 1987 Coca-Cola 600 winner, and Ricky Rudd's seventh place finish was to be the final top 10 finish of his great career, and his only top 10 that year.
Hands down the most unexpected top 5 in 2007. But imagine if JJ Yeley and Casey Mears had run out of fuel. Kyle Petty getting win #9 would have been absolutely nuts.
About the same level as this ruclips.net/video/XB19u5pi4yU/видео.htmlsi=qF8xPtit0dgebtF9 not asking if you could look for it lol, I'm just hoping a higher quality of this race is found somewhere eventually
You probably gotten this like a dozen of times but how were you able to get these 2000s races in HD and do you think you might have any races in HD from 2002-05 by any chance in the future? Thank you so much seeing the Gen 4 in Full-Screen HD is heaven man 😌
The first HD race wasn’t until the 2004 Daytona 500, and I think there were only a couple races televised in HD that year. 2005 is when HD races became televised on a frequent basis. As someone who began watching in the back half of 2006, these are gold!
Could you do some from 2013 and 2014? Those are when I started watching, and I was still a child then, so I hold fond memories of them. Particularly the 2013 Food City 500 and the 13 and 14 Coca Cola 600s.
I’m really happy we got this race in this quality. Thank you!!
Rewatching this makes me think this has to be one of the greatest 600s

If you could somehow dig up the 2005 Coca-Cola 600 in higher quality (doesn't have to be in HD), you'll earn a diehard sub from me lol
What's the best quality one out there? I have it, non-HD, so it's not great but not awful either.

Upload widescreen for RUclips
@@Voti-w4xthe quality of the one on RUclips already is awful. I’m not picky I’ll watch most anything and I remember it being unwatchable.
And J.J. Yeley was the highest finishing Coca-Cola sponsored driver in the race

Sorry, '06 is the earliest I have.
HD back then at best was 720p. Maybe 480
Dale Jr was huge back then. Most popular driver but nobody since has been up to that level. Not even chase
2:31:37 you’re welcome
Even in 2007, when their coverage was still considered the gold standard...Fox gonna Fox
Do you have the 2007 Sylvania 300? Since the race happened on the day I was born…

Pace car in for the initial start at 38:15.
WAY TO GO CASEY MEARS (PISCES) (THE FISH) 🐠
Was at this race
I was there Too! to make up for Darlington being rained out 2 weeks before!! Sitting at Turn 4!
2006 Spring and fall 🙏please consider
Sorry, no HD versions of those two Charlotte races.
