It seems like it performs well for how little water it uses. My biggest concern is the drain line carry. 1.6 and 1.28 ones have better pipe carrying because of more water.
It’s honestly better than the vast majority of the toilets you’ve tested if you just force it to use more water. How many can actually take the towel and bag together regardless of water usage? Most would just overflow.
It seems like the short flush ruins everything in this toilet. Performance overall on this toilet would be greatly increased by it using 1.28 gpf or 1.6 gpf.
Yeah, this thing is pretty bad but I’ll still take a chance more than some modern toilets though. So yeah, the water usage on 1.28 would be durable but not by much since I’m not a fan of either of them as well.
We used to have a glacier bay that flushes exactly like that but then we got rid of our bathroom and built a new bathroom and got a Tuscany dual flush😩
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations the flapper has a small hole on the bottom of it, and that’s how it fills up with water and shuts really early, if you put duct tape over it, the flapper shuts when the water level gets really low in the tank
This toilet is definitely worth restoring while changing out the flush valve & raising the waterline a tad. Then it will be an excellent performer. It seems that any toilet designed to flush on 1 gpf or less is an utter failure.

No toilet should be less than 2 gallons, low water usage just causes problems, i have my Elliston on around 2 Gallons with the normal flapper and it’s flawless
Congratulations for actually having bowl rinse, Glacier Bay.
Exactly, these are alright.
Better than my 0.8Gpf Niagara Stealth "toilets"
True
When you stood far away in front of the toilet in the beginning of the video, the trapway looked so flat. Lol.
These are weird looking toilets, i actually just got another one.
Awesome toilet!
I was surprised to see how good it was compared to the other GBs
That bowl rinse and performance is surprisingly good, given that it's a flat gallon toilet. But yeah, it needs a little more water to be great...
I agree completely

Yeah, 1 gallon may clear the toilet but it is not enough to function properly.
The toilet did good, but it was decent enough
Yeah
For 1 gallon it's not too bad, but I'd be worried about drain line carry flushing solid waste. Could cause clogs down the sewer line.
Yeah

Yeah same
Better than the ProFlo I filmed
I bet
5:01 That’s why I don’t like Glacier Bay toilets
Same, their flushes are worthless

Ugh, that sounds junky.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Sounds junky
@@RMG_9000 Yep
Wait, isn't this the one that VFT Plumbing & Fixtures recorded that was partially clogged? Or a different model?
Not sure
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Ok.
I would adjust the flapper to 10 or cover the hole on the bottom of it with tape and raise the water line
I set the water level higher when I restored it.

Definitely and that's exactly what I did
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I know this might be a dumb question, but did the flush performance improve greatly after you did that?

The toilet is cute, but that particular brand sucks.😝

It did good but this toilet still kinda sucks

I hate it
At least it beats the 1.28 ones from the same time

Agreed
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations yeah! I don’t like 1.0 gpf toilets.
