- Highly recommend using the bottle brush because it bend easy & can clean out several jets at one time. Coat hanger is strong enough just to knock off the outside calcium under the lid. No chemicals needed and no plumber! See home and plant tips @momsmpm
That was better than all those plumbers videos!
I had the same problem with a toilet from the 60's. I took an Allen wrench and dug into each and every jet. Some holes were almost completely closed off. The L shape made it easy to get at them. Chunks of mineral deposits began to break off. That did the trick.
That’s a great idea! Don’t you love how the old shit still keeps working fine, with minor problems if you know how to fix them! Ty
Its actually mold most of the time. it can get pretty nasty inside the water jet cavity.
@@NGHmusic What would be the best way to get rid of that mold? Pouring bleach in the tank?
Yes in the over flow pipe
@@momsmpm Thanks, I'll try that. Though I'm certain that those hard chunks that came off were mineral deposits and not mold.
Legendary. Thank you!
This is easier, faster if you can get a piece of 120# or smaller used dog cable for free! See my below video. ruclips.net/video/tR98jAta5j8/видео.html
Great work
Thank you!
‼️‼️ Just pour vinegar down the overflow spout about 1 gallon ,let set for 2 hours.. problem solved.
I am going to try that! Ty
or CLR
I know but I don’t wanna wait two hours!

thank you! i spent forever yesterday cleaning the jets with a wire and razor and knife! the bottle brush fits in the jets? because that would be perfect to get the cleaner in there to soak!
Ty so much! You can dip that bottle brush and some CRL and if that doesn’t work I have another tip I’ll be posting another couple days so please like, subscribe & share! Any donations go to Annie’s go fund me page to pay her medical bills. I just uploaded another video I think she’s losing her vision or she’s looking for food I really can’t decide maybe you can help me out with that? Lol ty
CLR or Lime away also works really well at dissolving buildups. Just put in your tank and also into the refill tube in the tank.
Never in the tank because it eats the rubber flapper away but always in the overflow pipe! Thanks for the input!
It's all about the money for many plumbing businesses.
You’re 100% correct and thank God I’m helping people not get ripped off! Ty Sharing your thoughts and liking our video!
I just use a metal coat hanger and bend it to fit. The main jet at the bottom of the bowl is usually the most gunked up and the main cause of the issue. Also shut off the supply valve, drain your tank, tape the rim jet holes shut...and then add some vinegar to the tank to let soak for a few hours prior to removing the scale.
I also use a coat hanger (in photo) but the bendable small brushes work better on the small jet’s. Ty for commenting.
Yup..for the small rim jets I use a small automobile pick tool. Looks almost like a dental pick but stronger. I have a set of 4 that have various angles . The 45 degree works the best.@@momsmpm
@@Randy-ul5hy I’d love to see those tools can you put a picture on here to show us?
@@momsmpm DON'T USE METAL! You will chip and/or break off the ceramic or porcelain....or scratch other parts of the bowl!

Use white vinegar!
It dissolves the hard water buildup.
It takes too long to open when they’re completely clogged! Us women can’t wait, we like things done fast! Lol
I will do that about once a month as a maintenance issue
Good tip, vinegar has many cleaning uses
Yes, if you do not open those holes with something like a pipe cleaner, you will not get that angled jet that gives your poops that swirly action as it goes down!
I have another video where I use my dogs cable tie out which is plastic coated but it fits perfectly inside all those jets and just takes a couple minutes instead of using the brushes for each hole! It should be connected to this one see how you like that!
TY, I had replaced everything in my toilet and still had A weak flush was going to just buy a new one this did the trick.
'Cause away goes troubles
Down the drain
I said away goes troubles
Down the drain
Vinegar might help also
Yes it will
Plumbers don't tell this because they want those bricks! 💲💲😠
Checked your floater....ha!
Did & it is fine!
If you watched the video everything was working but the jets were clogged.
@@momsmpm in the UK a floater is a turd.
How old is the toilet?

Thank for the bottle brush idea
Your welcome! You don’t want to know how many hours I spent watching Plumber videos and replacing everything until I figured out the Jets are clogged!
