    I love the cows that come out of the crush, take a few steps and realize their pain has been substantially lessened, and turn around and look back as if to say, "Wow! What did you do??"

    I was raised on a farm and I can remember my dad working on hooves and back then (40 years ago) It was a lot harder to treat a lot of these issues. It wasn't unheard of to loose a cow from a messed up hoof. You had to stay on top of them constantly. A lot of people don't realize that. Maybe why I find your vids so interesting.

    I love that first couple steps, then the realization that it doesn't hurt nearly as much and she starts walking much more normally and obviously more comfortably.

    Just goes to show, "A stitch in time saves nine." Men, when you are working with your welders in and around animals, pay attention to cleaning up in detail. Thank goodness for the Hoof GP. He knows what he is doing and he is kind to the cows he is attending to.

    I am a city boy from Southern California. I’m also in my late fifties/early 60s. I’m not sure why, but I absolutely love your videos. It makes me think that in my next life I’m going to be a hoof trimmer. Most of the people that I tell about your channel, think that I’m crazy. I tell them that you give pedicures to cows. That way they understand. Keep up the great work and I will continue watching.

    This trim made me think that the pressure from the cavity was pushing that metal piece out. It was interesting to watch the hole almost disappear then completely open up. Thank you for sharing.

    You could read the phone book and I would listen... What a voice you have, putting the Scottish accent on it - it's just over the top. Been watching your channel for a year now. I have a new respect for our cows and the people who keep them for us.

      I'm Canadian too had cows as a kid on our farm and never heard of hoof trimming them. We did our horses and also had a farrier as they were show horses but cows? Had no idea. This is fascinating to watch and learn from graeme

    Get a dead cat microphone cover. Basically foam or fluff. Cuts out wind noise. Really improves sounds. Used it when recording concerts for an artist friend.

    I live in north west wisconsin, 75 years old , retired, enjoy watching you help these cows. I love cows they have dch pretty bg eyes. I lve to seeafteracow comes limping in , usually walks out, without. Or barely with a limp. Plusi love your accent.

    With the block it adds more of a protective layer for the hoof horn, since the area wrapped, it (the wrap) would be more prone to unraveling, more gunk germs, and any other things that aren’t ‘normal’ to the body will only irritate it and make it worse. The block acts like a supportive friend that helps you when you are hurt in a sense

      More like it prevents further damage from being walked on since most of what they walk on can't get past their immune system

    Cattle are both rugged and amazingly fragile. My dad had a magnet that is normally used to feed a cow to grab and metal objects in a cow's stomach. I knew about that but the Hoof GP is teaching how even tiny items can harm our dairy herds.

    I have to say, we love your country. We were there in the beginning of August for a wedding. We stayed for a week and traveled around. The following week in Ireland. I have to say Scotland has my heart.

    I love the way you care about the animals being in pain and trying to alleviate it. Even thinking about the pressure from the “crusher”. Lol I hate that word! Large animals can
    really suffer from their own weight. Your a good man!

    Darlin one of the reasons I love following you is that dairy farming was in my family history I more so that I grew up in town called Kearny in New Jersey made up of a large Scots population at the time. I love the Scots!
