Jodie Price if you start them as kittens they wouldn't care if you cut their nails. If you cut their nails as an adult before you can train them yes they would tear you to pieces
And wear a smoking jacket while he drinks his cognac?
This is why you should touch their feet when they’re a puppy or a kitten so if you ever need to cut their toenails or touch their feet for any other reason they don’t get angry or upset

I had a cat that would have gone berserk if I had tried to put him in a tub of water and wash him.
However, he did love to play in water- while he sat safely outside the sink full of water. He pawed at it like this cat does. Every time anyone turned on the water (in a bathroom sink), he'd come running, jump up on the sink edge & paw the water. If the water was running, he pawed at and tried to bite the stream of water.
We laughed at his antics, but it was annoying when I tried to wash my hair in a sink of water. He would jump up on the rim and walk through my arms, pawing at the water & my hair.
He was a character. I've had several cats, but never had another cat so fascinated with water and wanting to play in it.

Now I know why other cats resist bathing. They're afraid of messing up their fur. :) This guy just loves the warm water.
Sphinx cats have very minimal fur. They’re a breed that actually requires periodic bathing to help keep the dander down. It’s just a thing sphinx owners are used to
Yeah most cats don't like it because it weighs their fur down and makes them feel heavy

Also believe I read that cats have a natural hate to water because their fur captures the water. Keeping them wet and cold. Nobody wants to be wet during a cold night
Plus, sliding around in the tub makes them feel out of control. Cats hate that.

I guess at least 80 % of people in long term relationships agree with me: in my next life, I'm not going to be married, I'm going to be reincarnated as a spoiled cat of someone like Niklas.
Bathing my dog ( who is half lab) is a 2 person job and a 5 alarm fire. Cooper is adorable. 🥰
I used to have a Lab and by the time I was done bathing him which was a 2 people job too I was soaked.
I gave my German shepherd and my siberian husky a shower and they act like cats trying to move away from the water in an enclosed space
I once had a Doberman (Dobie, of course) who would stand still for a bath with a water hose in the summer. He’d raise his head for me to wash his neck and just be a complete gentleman. Thing is, I got him at a rescue shelter. He was an old guy. Maybe his,previous owner just didn’t want to have to put him down two years later.
When my alaskan malamute got bigger it was brutal getting her in the bath lol and I was always on my own to get her in it 😅
I had a lab and a walk in shower. Half the time she'd just come in uninvited and take a shower.

There's a Canadian pet groomer I follow on RUclips, and she always clips the "murder mittens" first when grooming cats, too -- for her own safety.
Not only that, but she grooms all kinds of species! Dogs, cats, pigs, ducks, unicorns, aliens, trash goblins...

I’ve only ever owned a couple of water cats, they were join me in the shower, so I made sure that the water wasn’t overly hot. In the end, one of the highlights of my life.
I have never seen a cat act like that! What an awesome relationship! ❤️

Not a cat person here. I have never seen a cat and few dogs play in a bath before, batting at the bubbles. o7 salutes this guy.
Cooper looks like a Sphinx !!! He's a beautiful cat. And he slaps the water like a playing dolphin. And then at the end he's drying off in daddy's arms. He's a very well behaved cat. I see another kitty at the end of the video, Cooper's playmate. They ARE Sphinx cats ! You lucky man, your nobody till you've been owned by a cat. Your cats are beautiful. Cooper actually enjoyed being bathed, even came to the bathroom for his spa treatment.

Despite the fact that I don't speak the language that the owner speaks I still think the way he spoke to the cat was so sweet. And when the cat was in the tub and patting at the bubbles I laughed so much. 😂 This was the best 3 minutes and 10 second video ever. Bless both this man and his bubble bath taking cats hearts.❤😊

@Shirley. My friend's late cat Honey had a tail that was as long as her body. She was an average size cat too. When she walked, her tail went up in the air and forward all the way to her head and then it curled at her head. It was unusually long. My late cat Felix had an unusually long and tall body. I had to use a dog's collar and harness to fit him because the cat collars and harnesses were too small. Yes, Cooper's tail is unusually long.

Oh my goodness that was absolutely precious😍 Especially watching Cooper playing with the bubbles in him bubble bath, and I'm just in Awe that Cooper just sat there and let his daddy cut his nails like it was no big deal! I know my girl acts like I'm trying to kill her when I cut her nails, and giving her a bath, that's definitely not happening!!

No, I have a maine coon but those sphyrx are so incredibly cute I may just consider one in my near future.

My mother often had boy cats around her home when I was younger. She always mentioned how much better behaved boy cats were over the girl cats. Her words exactly!
I think it's true too. My first cat Sassy (female) was a hellion. My second cat Bynx (male) was a big sweetie! Although, male cats tend to behave better when they're fixed. Otherwise, they'll spray everything and that's not fun. Luckily Bynx came fixed when I got him so I never had a spraying problem with him.
@@railroad5024 She had all her male cats fixed. Two of her favorites were black cats, Licorice and Buzz. Buzz welcomes all new kittens to the family.
I have 6 cats, 5 males 1 female. My girl is literally the best behaved cat I've ever had. And by far the most affectionate. She never does anything wrong, she loves her belly pet, and she jumps into my arms to be held like a baby. Even so none of my cats, her included, would be this well behaved in the bath. I think it's a sphinx thing. Some cat breeds are more tolerant of being in water

You have to train your cats to like water and having their nails cut. Once they understand what you're doing it would come second nature to them
