Thank you buddy! I hate when they get all jumbled up too. I also noticed that some of the blades get nasty marks on them from banging and rubbing together. I hope you get to take the yak out this weekend man and slay some Snakeheads!!
I searched up spinnerbait storage thinking I was about to spend money and found your video. Thank you for the tip! Saved me some cash and put to use some spare tackle trays I wasn't using. Great video!
I told my wife Jess the same thing brother! Quick story. I went to simplify my tackle bag down to just two boxes to lessen the load on my pack/back. I pulled out a spinnerbait (we have all been there) and found myself holding 5 spinnerbaits... I looked at the boxes made specifically for spinnerbait storage and really liked the different designs but not the prices or the sizes. I got to playing around with the Plano boxes and came up with this! I am glad you like the idea man and hope y'all can use it!!
@@CruzesLouisianaOutdoors That is awesome brother! Film it so I can see the tweaks y'all make to it. One thing I thought of doing is to take the inserts that come with those boxes and trim them from top to bottom about 3/4 of the way. You could then put the spinnerbait in there and then add the insert like you normally would to hold the spinnerbait down even more! Y'all have a great weekend!!
Pretty neat and simple idea. I've never thought of it before, and it makes perfect sense!!! Thanks for the idea. It is definitely going to be used in my tackle boxes.
Awesome to hear brother! I've been encouraging folks to come up with improvements for the idea as well and possibly post it on their channel. Feel free to add a little something to it!!
I only have a couple spinnerbaits, and they didn't really fit in my normal plano boxes, but I didn't want a special box for just a couple lures, so this is a great tip.
Wow man did I ever need this. Great DIY Hack. Spinnerbaits are like the hardest thing for me to store for sure. And I just bought two new containers to hold em. So wish I had seen this first.
I am glad I caught you off-guard! It is simple and we all have a million of these boxes laying around, lol. Those boxes made for spinnerbaits are too pricey. Take care and tight lines bud!!
BigBearFishing this worked perfect. I fish out of a kayak so I try not to take EVERYTHING with me. I modified a 3600 Plano to accommodate Spinnerbaits in one side and chatter baits in the other. This was perfect. Thanks so much for the tip!
I priced those really nice spinnerbait boxes but could not see spending that kind of money. I told my wife I was going to come up with a solution. This was the result. Have a great weekend man!
Hi Jonas! Maybe the boxes are a little thicker there? When you make the cut make sure it looks like 📐 but flip it once to the left. Let me know if that works!
@@BigBearFishing i think its more that its different tackle boxes, and there might be space between the lid and the actual "walls" , wich makes it impossible to do on these boxes =/
Good tip, brother. To be honest I didn’t know this trick and spinners are always get in the way when I close the lid. kudos, man. 👍

Thank you! You're welcome!!
Not what I expected. Great hack. Definitely gonna do this. I usually just lay them on the top and force the lid shut. TU#6

I completely agree!! 😂😂 Fall is a great time for PBs of all species!!
Great idea👍
Thank you!! I was creating a "simpler tackle box" for my spinnerbaits!
BigBearFishing simpler is better!!
great hack thank you for the tip :)
Thank you! It helps with the spinnerbait problem most anglers are plagued with. It also cost a lot less than buying the boxes made for spinnerbaits.
Thanks u saved me some$

Not all heroes wear caps. Genius. Thanks
Thank you for the compliment Craig! I’m glad you found this useful. Happy 4th!!

I did something similar but I used a Dremel to make slots for the wire.
That's a great idea!
Love it!
