      So true! I also love the design of these old FJ40s. In last year I've seen 3 different ones, maybe even 4 because I am not sure if it are two different ones in red in this perfect condition or if someone sold its Land Cruiser to someone else. But these are nowadays super rare here.

      These cars were mostlikely at least 30 years old and older. And back then it was also not as usual to see the same cars around the globe like it is nowadays. Something like my Audi 80 (which is in part 1 and will be also in part 9) is for example 40 years old and it was rarely sold overseas - just some of them made it to USA and Australia but not too many. Nowadays a modern Audi is known worldwide. Also here are some rarities to see that I haven't seen for quite a long time and some that weren't this popular over here in Western Germany during my childhood. It's always an amazing experience to slender around these classics - to see some unknown cars and cars that disappeared already around 20 years from the roads.

    The Lada Riva the Top Gear team sent one to Lotus and had it worked upon to produce a Lotus Riva.
    The White Supra ,i think i may have told you before but when they were newer the car dealers used to refer to them as the white whale because they would sit on the forecourt for months and months before selling.
    Long time since i have seen a Simca 1000. Nice paint job. with a brief glimpse of a delorean.
    Good show Sven with a good variety.

      I just had to check about that Lotus Riva ... 180 bhp, 0-60 miles in 7 seconds - that's amazing. I read in an article from December 2023 that the car for some years in Germany. For already quite a while it is part of the permanent exhibition in the MotorWorld in Munich.
      Oh yes, I can remember about the white whale. White cars were back then also the only purchased by the people who wanted a car cheaper - so it wasn't everyone's choice because no one wanted to show to buy a great car but not willing to pay a few bucks more for the paint. Nowadays white is a trend and it is in my opinion also a sporty looking colour.
      I also rarely see a Simca 1000. These are really very rare over here. I heard in France they're still quite popular as a classic. I've seen the last one on last Sunday, hehe, so in this year I've seen two but I am pretty sure that I won't see any further Simca 1000 in the rest of the year.
      This classic car show has really a good variety. It's one of the largest in the region. But they also do it twice per year in middle of March and middle of October. They don't always have luck about the weather. So in last year they had snow in middle of March.

      Agreed, I think the supra looks nice in white.

    The E32 7er is such a good looking car. I thought those wheels exclusive to the 750iL...
    Great to see a Cordia, such a rare car.

    • @BFDdrives
      @BFDdrives  26 дней назад +1

      The BMW E32 7er is also really a good looking car. For unknown reason these appear here so rarely only. Back then they were also very popular. But as a classic it seems they've much less fans compared to the people owning a Mercedes S-class. But perhabs it's also because of my region - Stuttgart is only a cat jump far away. So Mercedes and Porsche is of course very popular.
      This Mitsubishi Cordia is one of 24 remaining in Germany and if I'm remembering right 1 of 4 Cordia Turbo. Had a small talk with the owner in last year. Really a super rare car! Even of my Audi 80 are still more remaining although I don't often see another one.

      @@BFDdrives I found the generations that followed this car less interesting. The previous generation I liked a great deal as well. I do prefer the S-Class personally.
      As for the Cordia, that's an incredible survivor.

      @@ValleyDieCast Same here - the E32 was just the better looking 7-series. The previous one was also great looking. But the E32 is also definately my favorit of all 7ers. But the W126 from Mercedes is just looking even better than both - at least in my opinion.

    • @ValleyDieCast
      @ValleyDieCast 26 дней назад

    Nice cars, Mitsubishi Cordia was rare car here even when they were new. The sedan version, Tredia, was much more common.
    The Lada Samara Baltic, or Euro-Samara, as it was called here, was assembled here in Finland by the way, I think the facelift for Euro-Samara design was also Finnish. From Wikipedia I see that Lada importer in Germany was also involved in the Euro-Samara project.

    • @BFDdrives
      @BFDdrives  28 дней назад +1

      The Cordia is also very rare here - especially the Turbo as I can remember. I'm thinking it are 24 Cordias that survived in Germany and only 4 Cordia Turbo. I can remember to have seen this car in my childhood but Mitsubishi was more popular later with the Colt, Galant, Lancer and of course the Pajero.
      Just when I filmed the Baltic then someone was already mentioning there that this car was made in Finland.
      I can remember back then the Samaras were also quite often to see. It were very cheap cars like nowadays a Dacia Sandero.
